I don't think there's anything shameful about that, sounds like a bit of an ordeal. Enjoy those beers

QPR - Leeds (possible promotion)
Bellend Sebastian replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
Never mind Leeds, you had fun and did your best -
I am using just such a device on a 2009 Samsung TV, so you'll be very unlucky if it doesn't

Just keep believing

I'm putting together the notes for the follow ups, Well I MIGHT be Wrong but Really What are the Chances of That? and Who's Laughing Now? (Them). Happy to ghost-write for free again as this messaging is far more important than petty concerns over remuneration, food etc

I think it's one of the best colours and why nearly everyone stopped making cars in that colour about 20 years ago is down to a dreadful failure of taste on the part of the great British public. Then again, I probably shouldn't be listened to as I would cheerily order a brown car if it was an option. Disappointed although not remotely surprised when Ford tried to resurrect brown in the early 2010s and it proved a very short-lived strategy

Well that's the establishment's woke agenda at play again, as per usual

What are you reading at the moment?
Bellend Sebastian replied to MC Prussian's topic in General Chat
Have you listened to the Things Fell Apart podcast? I find his voice a bit distracting (like Professor Brian Cox, I struggle not to just talk like him for an hour or so after hearing it) but it's very interesting and quite sobering to hear about where a lot of nonsense comes from and how people can really, really get themselves lost. Cautionary tales abound -
The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
Bellend Sebastian replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
Probably up and down some fell as well. When I used to go to the Lakes I'd be clambering up some 'path', terrified of slipping and breaking my neck, virtually on all fours and then some fell runner guy is just merrily hurling himself down the mountain as if it's flat -
If that means it's a bit dead that's not a problem for me. I love the Castle, but if I can't get a table then, well, I'll be mildly grumpy. Mind always goes blank when I try to remember what pubs there actually are in town now. I need to read back through this

What's the Salmon like these days? Actually going out tomorrow and despite having lived in Leicester for all but 3 of my 49 years I've managed to never go in there
-
That's the "mental health isn't real" section of the electorate onboard then. Big crossover on the venn diagram between those guys and the "really quite mentally unwell but not diagnosed" section

It would be so typical of her to incarcerate a good, honest, normal guy doing good, honest, normal guy things. I mean, when things got a bit livelier than expected, she could've put her hand in her own pocket to help the poor chap out and the fact that she didn't speaks volumes

I take a certain pride in paying for that stuff myself (I'm just old fashioned that way!) but I really must insist that I get value for money

Who knew that getting trapped in a flat was so expensive? You can say what you like but one thing's certain is that this man isn't is a good negotiator

Focus group says: "more relatable"

I mean, if anything, he's TOO MUCH fun, and I didn't think that was possible, and we still know next to nothing about the exciting new chapter of his adventures. It makes the efforts into giving the Rayner story legs look even more bizarre than they do already
-
Incredibly, this part of the story is a full ten years old. Still, it was a more innocent time. I can't wait to find out what he's done now, seems like a lot of fun
-
Well they are very roomy

I'm largely on the fence on this but I can get behind the proposed amendment to include banning Dryrobes being worn as coats

I'm only three episodes in and resisting the temptation to binge. I love it

If you don't want to buy a new telly, Firestick is great. Just think of it as a device to make a telly "Smart". Plugs into the HDMI port on your telly, needs to be connected to the mains and has its own remote. Got all the apps on there, and no cost on top of any subscriptions you already have. We pay for Prime so can watch the Amazon content but I believe you don't need a Prime subscription (just a regular Amazon account) to access all the free stuff (All 4, ITVX, iPlayer etc). The standard Firestick (i.e. not 4k one) is 35 quid at the minute
-
Has anybody got an Amazon Omni? Interested to hear if you're happy with it. My 10 year old cheapo Samsung is showing its age in that its "Smart" functionality is now limited to Amazon Prime and BBC iPlayer, everything else you'd want either isn't supported anymore or wasn't there in the first place Loathe to spend loads on one, and I could just buy another Firestick. The Amazon telly seems to be the best bet at the cheaper end of the spectrum reviews wise - a 50" is currently 400 quid, the cheapest they ever are, I believe. Always had Samsung or LG previously (but not expensive ones)

I've never played any of the Fallout games but I enjoyed the first episode of the TV show
