French football teaches a different game to us, Papy is usually a reliable pass em to death, deep-lying metronome and some of his game is ill served by the measured stats. Which one covers patiently shutting down passing lanes when defending space, and not lunging recklessly in and putting your team mates in trouble? I think that in a possesion based side he was on the fringes of the French squad when he came to us, and whilst I don't think he is hugely well suited to the PL because of its physicality, his style is not unusual where he learned his football. Did you see his assist for Daka last week, or did you temporarily black out due to cognitive dissonance?

It's on youtube if you want to play catch up.

Ricardo in front of Castagne?

Start the car.

Do you think he might fancy the keepers gloves? Defo better than Kasper on the deck, can't be worse on crosses with that height.

Despite all the well merited skepticism, we need to try and support him when he is on the pitch, because he ain't going anywhere. Hopefully that will not be very often.
-
Sad because he worked harder than Barnes whilst still delivering some end product, and if Harvey gets properly injured we are short of pace on the wings. I hope Lookman settles somewhere, he deserves some stability.

Makes sense, it is always a possible issue for imports, can even happen if a northerner goes down south.

Kasper... Is it time to go?

Time to say goodbye? -
I think he was playing in a successful England U-21 setup at the time, but it all went wrong for him (didn't he get himself sent off in a crucial tournament game, and England went out). It has been all downhill from there, or at least from when he signed that deal. I might be wrong on timings as it was a while back, but I think that was peak Hamza. He was very fashionable for a while.

Could we do a version of Le Freak?

All over twitter Kasper Gone

Kasper is just taking back control. He will get free wheels off of Brexit nutter Jim Ratcliffe, Mr Ineos. Apparently the Ineos Grenadier is a brilliant British car, which the billionaire hypocrite is building in France. -
I just read a post with a reference to Odysseus taking 10 years to return home after the Trojan Wars. That poster definitely could spell Ward.

Shameless name plugging from the youngster, good work son.

Can't pronounce that, so it's a no from me.

His distribution would be world class for a keeper, tbf.

More excited than concerned, although big injuries could expose us again.

Note to self, always finish the thread before posting, saves on unnecessary typing.

Talking about exactly this on RL tonight, referred to Pep using it at Bayern and last season at Man City. Also KDH referred to it in an interview. From 39'30 in. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0cp021m

Wow, the second goal is really great. Hat's off to the fella Temari (sp?), covered 3/4 of the pitch to score in the first proper game of the season.
