Arsenal Away Sat 13.8.22 @ 1500. Pre match Doom and Gloom!

I think we need to take both knees before this one. Pray brothers and sisters, cos we need all the help we can get. -
There will be dancing on the streets of nowhere, but at least the young lad can get some experience.

Good news, let's hope Hamza isn't the last. Playing regularly and with confidence he should do well. I have no hard feelings towards him whatsoever, best of luck son.

I thought Danny Ward looked decent, and much taller than the keeper we are used to. He won't supply so many spectacular saves I guess, but he will help considerably on crosses and set pieces. No doubt he will cost us goals sometimes, but so did club legend Kasper.

Even better, eat your sandwich and smuggle it in your tummy. -
3 things we learned from the 2-2 against Brentford

Nice article, well written and on point with the contradictions in what we saw. BR needs to be very careful with his communication in this stressful period for us all, because he is leaving himself wide open with that fatigue comment. I'm no proof reader, but I did notice your concluding sentence needs one less nothing and one more anything. Keep up the good work, we certainly have plenty of issues to talk about at the moment -
New roof design?

That's alright, I'll tell em you started it!

Post match thread Leicester 2-2 Brentford

5 subs is a different game, could someone tell Brendan. -
I must admit to being a touch surprised. Maybe we should have a biblical quotations thread, for use in dark times. Can anyone do a passable imitation of Samuel L Jackson? Repeat after me 100 times... Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no FFP: for Top art with me; thy Susan and thy staff they comfort me.

Interestingly Matt Piper questioned Evans role in the first goal, and was politely unhappy with BR and the subs issue. No one would say Dan didn't make mistakes, but I blame Brendan for this one primarily. I thought it was very poor judgement to leave a tiring Youri and Wilf to fight against a 3, shades of most of last season.

Yet another brexit benefit for Rees-Mogg?

Going to my first festival since my op 2moro, am abandoning the missus to come home sunday bout lunchtime because I have no stamina. And the footy is on.

Veste-goalie. I've mentioned this, he would be awesome playing out and potentially better on crosses. No-one liked my posts about it, or even replied so I'm at least giving you props, great minds and all that.
-
Does he come with a 99?
-
All decent managers will talk BS at some points, in fact it is a requirement of the job at higher levels. Dunno why folks expect BR to be different.

Positive thinking is regarded by some as quite old fashioned, just thinking you can wish an unrealistic positive outcome can set people up for failure. Toxic positivity is a term often used these days. Realism and hard work is where it is at, not American cod-psychology. So I'm with BR on this one. Imho obviously, but my other half is a nurse/therapist and she has to deal with the youth, who have often internalised this positive thinking stuff to their own detriment. https://www.newsweek.com/2016/09/23/positive-thinking-myth-498447.html

Sad day, but I think a 3 year contract and playing in the sun will maximise his remaining time at a high level. What a remarkable journey we have shared with Kasper. It beggers belief that he pulled off an honour that outshone some of his fathers achievements, at our club. It's going to be emotional for most of us.
-
Ward gets first go if both are fully fit. I think one or the other will almost certainly measure up, and it is the kind of risk we have to be taking to maximise our limited budget.
