I thought Danny Ward looked decent, and much taller than the keeper we are used to. He won't supply so many spectacular saves I guess, but he will help considerably on crosses and set pieces. No doubt he will cost us goals sometimes, but so did club legend Kasper.

Interestingly Matt Piper questioned Evans role in the first goal, and was politely unhappy with BR and the subs issue. Positive thinking is regarded by some as quite old fashioned, just thinking you can wish an unrealistic positive outcome can set people up for failure. Toxic positivity is a term often used these days. Realism and hard work is where it is at, not American cod-psychology. So I'm with BR on this one. Sad day, but I think a 3 year contract and playing in the sun will maximise his remaining time at a high level. What a remarkable journey we have shared with Kasper. It beggers belief that he pulled off an honour that outshone some of his fathers achievements, at our club. It's going to be emotional for most of us.

Ward gets first go if both are fully fit. I think one or the other will almost certainly measure up, and it is the kind of risk we have to be taking to maximise our limited budget.
