A lot of comment regarding the atmosphere at the Emirates being poor on Tuesday. Watching recent away fans from Europe at our grounds just emphasises the different fan cultures. They have always been loud when travelled in a large group, even the lesser known teams. For years they have also used flares, even when coming here. Remember all the smoke over the pitch when we played Red Star in the late 1990s. Don’t think we will ever have that type of support.

Apart from the fact that the incessant drumming can be heard in the middle of the Kop, why should that be a consideration when having a ST? The drum hasn’t been going for 22 years but people may have sat in those seats for that long. If someone moaned about sitting behind a post then that would be their choice if they stayed there for years, but a drum in a football ground shouldn’t be a fixture. Before I am accused of being a Happy Clapper, I join in with all the songs and chants and admire the fact that the Singing Section put so much in to this.

A bit of a pathetic reply

Completely agree about constant singing being boring. The Man Utd fans singing the Amorim song to “ It’s a heartache” is mind numbingly boring and moronic. Couldn’t turn them off at the KP but have had to turn the sound down a few times on the TV. Also find the incessant drumming awful and feel very sorry for those sitting nearby.

You’re such a constant Dementor! -
He objects to older fans and also overweight fans. See his earlier post.
-
You had a pop at Happy Clappers, who you despise with a passion. There are plenty of fans who do not come under either Happy Clappers or Boo Boys. You’re an ageist and misogynist.Do you seriously not think that all teams have older fans? Take a good look next time you go away and you’ll also see plenty on the TV. It’s more likely that they have been going for years rather than just started going in their 70s.
-
Your hate of older fans is pretty disgusting. Why wouldn’t those older fans, have been at Wimbledon , MK Dons or Chelsea. It was over 25 years ago and it’s not unusual, much to your annoyance, for supporters to still be following the City. Did you know everyone there? Were you such a big shot that you knew everyone that went? I don’t suppose anyone remembers you there. Why pick out big matches? What about the 7 and 8 thousand fans in the 80s Were you one of them? I was but don’t remember you in particular. Perhaps you were one of the BS and commanded some respect. Whatever, you seem a pretty nasty and vile person.
-
That’s perfectly understandable. I’m not thick, just don’t understand gobbledygook.

Could you translate please?

You do realise that there are thousands of City fans who are neither Happy Clappers or Boo Boys but ge5 angry and disappointed by what’s going on. I would hate you to think that you’re the only ones who care because you have the biggest mouths.
-
Considering that the “Happy Clappers” are pilloried for going for years then presumably they’ll still be supporting City when the “boo boys” have deserted them.

So ungrateful. It’ll be a long time before she buys you anything again🤨 -
Can’t believe Muzzy never won!

Tribute to Vardy totally takes priority over booing the rest of the players. Relegation is done and there’s one more home game before JV farewell to boo your heart out.

That moment sums up that season. Spectacular and joyous. Against a top team too. Should never have lost out to goal of the month/season? to Dele Ali. His was deflected. But of course it was Spurs. Perhaps it was a sympathy vote.
-
Not even to bid farewell to the GOAT? You need to change your display name. I wouldn’t miss it for anything. It’s been a pleasure and at times hilarious, watching a player who engages with the fans so much. He’s a throwback to the days of tough battles against an opponent, where both are giving everything and enjoy that close combat style of play. There are so many petulant whinges these days it’s refreshing to have that aggression. Good luck Jamie and thanks so much for the memories.

Far too easily knocked off the ball.

Thanks everyone.

Can somebody please enlighten me as to how players are acquired. Does the manager say I want so and so, try and get him; does he say I want a striker/CB and is presented with a list of 3 or 4 to choose from, or does he have no say at all.

Who was DOF when we won the league? -
Did I say he was a world beater? With better coaching and experience, he could be adequate for us next season as left back is not our priority. Very few teams have wingers who should cause many problems. He is a confidence player and hopefully will get that with the more matches he plays. Btw, you’re very patronising and a bit of a know-all.
-
Sir/Miss, completely understood what you said in the English exam. Don’t see the relevance as to when it was written. He showed on Sunday that he can play but needs to do that consistently next season. In the PL, teams’ best players are often the wingers and therefore the FBs are exposed greatly. Probably not the case in the Championship. (Did I get a good grade)?
