He didn’t have to do much actual defending last season due to the style of play. Was rarely 1 v 1 with opposition player. He’s far too slow and lumbering for the PL. Should never have been signed in the 1st place. As mentioned before, for his height he is rubbish in the air. Who ever thinks he might win the ball at a corner, either end.

Thanks to Pep, nearly every team plays it”out from the back”. Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be happening. Playing out from the back with City seems to involve the goalie passing to the full back or central defender, the ball is then passed back to the goalie for the routine to start again. Whoever has the ball when the music stops. i.e. the opposing forward has got fed up waiting and realises the ball is going nowhere, he then pressurises the defender into kicking the ball somewhere upfield which is what the goalie could have done the first place. I thought the idea of playing out from the back was to make progression upfield via the wings or midfield, with accurate passing. It pains me to say that one team who do not play this way, are Forest. They are direct and much more effective than many other slow build teams.

I think this was a bit of a “Hollywood” appointment, based on his 4 match.run win, 2 of which were against City! We needed an experienced manager not a learner who’s trying to learn at our . How can you take off the most exciting and creative player on the pitch and the only player actually travelling towards the opposition goal. So disappointing. Appointment made by someone only seeing a famous name and not looking at whether they have the know how to manage a team in the relegation zone.

Proud of that fact are you? I wouldn’t have missed the Pearson and Ranieri years and the Cup win for anything. I certainly wouldn’t be thinking how great I was that I’d missed it if I was a true supporter. It’s bad now but we just keep hoping against hope that we’ll get a win soon.

Agree with not retiring shirts. The number 9 shirt is an iconic shirt and should pass on to another. Shirts 1 to 11 should remain. Some shirt numbers are ridiculous and don’t mean anything at all except might be someone’s favourite.

Most teams’ fans sang YNWA and Hey Jude well into the 80s but I think after Hillsborpugh, YNWA became some sort of Anthem especially for Liverpool fans..

Easier said than done for most fans. Yes the running of the club at the moment is abysmal and embarrassing, but it’s the players on the pitch who we go to see and give our support to. The management and many years ago, directors who never seemed to put any money into the club, were always seen as the enemy. I have no intention of boycotting the team I love and don’t feel guilty in doing so, when told on here it’s what I should be doing.

We’d be Wayne Rooney’s Leicester City for a short while. Doubt he would bring Coleen to the Christmas party! We’d get a lot of publicity though🤭

For the 1st booking it wasn’t even a foul. He never connected with the player.
