Don’t think he was given a fair chance last night. Too many times when there was a chance to pass to him in space, the ball was passed sideways away from him. It was a bit like watching Vardy playing for England when Delli Ali would sooner have passed the ball to the opposition rather than Vardy. I felt it was like that last night.

Totally agree. Unfortunately if you show support for the players the boo boys are targeting then you’re given the usual derogatory title of being a “happy clapper”. Did those of you who booed him celebrate the goal or do you wish he hadn’t scored?

Seemed to be an anti Vardy attitude by other Spurs players for England. Deli Ali was blatantly obvious in his refusal to pass to Vardy when they played together. The times Vardy was in space and in easy passing distance, but Ali chose to turn away or turn it back till it went back to the keeper. The omission to make a pass to Vardy was noted by the commentator as it would have been the only clear pass on.

Totally agree with the last line. Don’t want clubs to go bust, but happy for certain ones to suffer a bit. Not sure how the Sheffield. Wed. situation has been allowed to go on for so long by the EFL. Do they not have any sort of intervention for this sort of thing. As usual, it’s the supporters who are suffering more than the owner. As this thread is related to players I think it is relevant. Not sure that the restaurant analogy is apt. I’m not attached emotionally to any restaurant. Just want us to start with a clean slate and let the players prove themselves as worthy of our support. Booing your own team before the game has even started, is embarrassing and if I was an away fan, I’d think my team was onto a winner.

Sincerely hope we don’t carry on with the totally embarrassing booing of our own players when the teams are read out. Absolutely shameful if it carries on into this season.
