  1. He played very well yesterday against probably the toughest player you can be up against. Why can’t you acknowledge that? I sit in front of a fan who constantly berates players, last year it was KDH. His main comment yesterday? Oh my God, if Luke Thomas is our best player, how crap must we be?. Couldn’t bring himself to accept that he played well.
  2. Small consolation, that the fickle “supporters” on here who are now haters of Leicester City, won’t bother commenting on the forum next season as hopefully they cba to do so.
  3. Unfortunately, a number of posters on here have done that. They can’t wait to get shot of him. Absolutely disgraceful and shows a lack of respect and football knowledge. I just hope he never reads this forum and that those who have dissed him on here, stay away from his last game.
  4. We could be down tomorrow if we lose at Brighton and Wolves beat Spurs. We will only be able to get the same points with a massively inferior goal difference.
  5. You really are boring. The trouble with version the fans sing is that it’s sung too quickly, is almost incoherent and out of tune. The race to get to the end is silly. At least with the JB song, it’s sung in unison by the majority of the crowd . There is currently an advert on the telly which plays the Frank Sinatra version. Now that is the one which would be sung in a care home
  6. The players apparently like it and sang it in the dressing room after they won promotion last year. You seem to be flogging a dead horse.
  7. Judging by the response when it’s played I would say it was very popular. Listen to Colin Murray’s podcast about Football Club songs featuring City. Very interesting.
  8. Twist it how you like. A lot of the posts are ignoring the emotional pull of supporting City. If you feel that, it will always be difficult to just stop going.
  9. Perversely, according to many on this forum, you’re not a supporter if you do renew as “you’re part of the problem”. Do you actually think that by not renewing it’s going to make everything fine? If it makes those who haven’t renewed, feel better, then that’s fine too. Look at how many protests over the years that Man Utd.; Newcastle and Spurs fans have made. Ashley took all sorts of abuse before he went but left when he was ready and not before. The other 2 teams owners are still there. I support the team first and foremost. The fact that the money goes to King Power is irrelevant. It was going to them when we won the league and cup. Just acknowledge that the majority have renewed for reasons of their own and are not influenced by people trying to put them down for doing so and bringing out the Happy Clapper tosh and “you’re to blame” rubbish.
  10. So true. Plus they seem to be looking for anyone in the crowd with the remotest claim to celebrity status. You’re then left thinking “who the hell is that”.
  11. There goes that lazy sentence again “You’re part of the problem”. Why, because we want to continue supporting a team we’ve followed for decades? Like said previously, current crop of players and board will be gone long before we stop supporting the team. You want to boycott, do so, I don’t.
  12. Another patronising post by someone who can’t accept that many of us want to continue to follow and actively support The City. You have exercised your choice to not support them any more but can’t seem to afford others the choice to carry on supporting them, without having some sort of pathetic dig. Will wait for your future critical posts with little interest.
  13. This response seems to have become a glib answer aimed at anyone who shows support for the club.
  14. In that case, last 2 years and counting, are in the past. We’re celebrating a historic event for our club. If you think that’s naff, then that’s your opinion. I still every now and again, watch the highlights video of the title winning season. Should I be throwing the DVD away and never enjoy that pleasure again? I bet I’m not the only one who watches it now and again. Should we not listen to any music more than 2 years old as that would be living in the past. If you find it cringey then that’s a shame. We have very little to celebrate.
  15. It’s not the same. Football was in a completely different then. Nearly 2 generations have past. If people want to applaud the video, that’s their business not yours. You keep your hands in your pockets and the look of contempt on your face and others can just enjoy what was a wonderful time for this club, less than 10 years ago.
  16. It’s a bit different still rejoicing in something that happened 9 years ago, which many of us witnessed, than something that took place 45 years ago when many weren’t even born.
  17. Seems to be standard practice. Usually reserved for players who were popular or local. Not really weird. There’s very little sportsmanship shown by fans these days so it makes a change . We’re pretty good with most former players as are fans of other clubs.
  18. FFS they were clapping the fact that he didn’t celebrate not that he scored!
  19. I thought the applause was for his reaction to scoring by not celebrating, not because he scored.
  20. And vital mistakes….
  21. Whoever we get, stop the tippy tappy style. It looks like it may have started to run its course. Even Guardiola has commented that other teams are playing a direct style with some success. It wasn’t designed to be played on the halfway line in the defence own half, when Barca started it under Pep, it was mostly quick passes around the opposing penalty area with an end product. It used to bamboozle the opposition. Now it’s just a bore fest . Don’t want Martin as he insisted that Saints played that way. They seemed to concede a lot of goals from keeper/defenders passing about near the penalty area and getting caught out.
