  1. Bit of a bitter and despicable post. Is it a wind up?
  2. We don’t create any chances because we have a midfield which is devoid of any attacking skill. Neither Ndidi nor Soumare can be relied upon to even carry the ball for a few yards before getting dispossessed because of dallying on the ball, or providing an accurate pass before losing control of the ball. Ipswich have a much better midfield who play balls up to Delap. He wouldn’t score if he had our midfield.
  3. He could be 25 but if he’s getting no service whatsoever then it doesn’t matter how old he is. He actually can still run the channels and run in behind when the ball passes the halfway line. Holding the ball up has never been his game.
  4. He’s been very frustrated at times. Wouldn’t call him meek.
  5. Very much like those fans who insist on filming throwing themselves at other fans and knocking people out of the way when we score. (A rare thing now) All to put on Social Media
  6. Agreed. If Everton had wind of us trying for Moyes, they would have been in sooner and made sure they got him. He would have been tipped the wink that Everton were after him and waited for the inevitable.
  7. Would like to see us sign one or two Eastern European players. Preferably defenders. They are usually physically strong and athletic. There are quite a few in the PL and all seem pretty solid.
  8. You can’t seem to accept that your opinions aren’t everyone else’s. You won’t be going, that’s your choice. Others will use their choice and go. You’re very patronising and full of your own self opinionated importance .
  9. Some people do mature as they age and some have probably replaced former South Stand types. Originals will probably be long gone.
  10. There are plenty of posts over the years that imply or just actually say this.
  11. You do realise that by admitting to supporting City nearly 40 years ago and still going(?)You run the risk of being culled as you are too old and taking seats from younger fans!
  12. So grateful for the free flag as it added another layer to ease the constant shivering.
  13. Maybe I am. It doesn’t mean that I don’t get angry, disillusioned, disheartened, let down and disappointed by what happens at the club, but I have been through many ups and downs over the years and no doubt will have more to come. But this is my team, my club and the current situation, however dire, is not going to stop me supporting them.
  14. Do you by any chance sing “in the good times and the bad we always back the lads” or do you just keep shtum when that’s going on. I never said who was a better fan or not. I choose to follow the team and usually with false hope. I’m not interested in being dismissed by others on here who think they are the ones that care, because they are showing disinterest and telling others not to go.attend games. If you don’t want to go then don’t. I do and therefore I do.
  15. Do you actually attend matches? For those that go, even in the bad times, ( remember the song -in the good times and the bad)? we are SUPPORTING the team, whether you think that’s stupid or not is irrelevant. If you can’t get your head around that then you don’t understand what following a team means to many.
  16. Thankfully, this style of football seems to be starting to have run its course. Even Pep has noticed that teams like Brighton, Forest, Bournemouth and Fulham, are not playing it by messing around at the back. Yes Maresca got us promoted playing a style which was new to other Championship teams. We played the best football at the start of the season when we were learning the style. As soon as other teams caught on, they just waited for us while we passed the ball on the half way line to each other. He said the other week when asked about the jeering from the fans when a player played it back, that the player knew that if he didn’t pass it back, he wouldn’t be in the team the next week. The same with the keeper if he played it long.
  17. Why would any self proclaimed City fan not want to see what is likely to be JV’s last home match for City and say goodbye to the GOAT? Surely for this occasion, this should take priority over any hate for the owner/board.
  18. So you’re not exactly a regular and want those who are, to stop going.
  19. I assume this is a wind up! Unless you expect Vardy to pick the ball up in midfield, make a slide rule pass for himself to run onto, then score. Also when necessary, to stop the opposing striker going through by playing at CB or RB and stopping any crosses coming in. I don’t think he’s tall enough for the keeper position though.
  20. Presumably you won’t be renewing.
  21. Fully agree with those comments. You’ll probably get called a happy clapper as that’s what the boo boys, who think they are the only ones who support the team properly, like to call other fans who they perceive as not caring. For many of us, it’s just in our blood and not going down and supporting them, is not an option or even a consideration. Wonder how many of those who are advocating not renewing or not doing so themselves, will actually go through with it. Like you say, it’s the team we support and we’ll be there when the owners/managers have gone.
  22. Get Ashley you’ll probably get Dennis Wise as well. No to both. Why on earth would you want Ashley. His contempt of the Newcastle fans was obvious. If you think the current owners don’t care about the fans do you think Ashley would love us? If it’s a businessman you’re after then there must be more than just him.
  23. Wherever he was playing last night, doesn’t mean you can only control the ball if you are a striker. His first touch is as bad as anyone I’ve seen. He can run fast but it’s not a race and if he ever manages to have the ball at his feet, he can’t control it to run with. He’s got away with a lot of flack because fans want to see him do well and he seems a genuinely nice guy. We are so weak in midfield as neither Ndidi nor Soumare can be trusted to pick up the ball and carry it forward, without losing control of it. We are so out of touch with how other teams play. How many do we see who, when a ball is played to them on the edge of the box, have a shot. What do we do? We keep passing it across the box to the other side or play it backwards. There were several times last night when we had throw ins near the opp. penalty box, within about 10 seconds, the ball was back with Hermandson. Most of the games we play is as though we are actually winning and just keeping possession in our own half. RVN should not have been appointed in the first place. He was just a famous name for the board to brag about. I sincerely hope he’s gone by next season.
  24. Just like many on here then.
