Ermmmmm … no! He was absolutely abysmal tonight! He’s an absolute helmet. -

You know what, I regretted the Vesty rating, he should have got a 7 from me, but I was a bit peeved he didn’t punt the clearance which led to their long throw and equaliser, further down the pitch. Other than the assist for KDH, I genuinely didn’t thin Wilf was that good today! Maybe I should have drank more! -
And that’s one of my biggest gripes in the last 2 games. Vardy was non-existent against Wednesday and Nacho was absolutely awful today. I genuinely don’t know too much regards what Cannon is like, but he MUST be worth a go because the last 2 performances by our strikers have been atrocious!

I know there’s a fair few varied opinions on here, but didn’t think Casadei was that bad when he came on … -
Interestingly, I was speaking to a few Sheff Weds fans in a pub pre-game, and they said that their away priority points resets every 2 years. They travel really well and have a great away support, when I told them our priority points have been rolling over for about a decade they were shocked!

First massive red mark against Maresca tonight for team choice. Playing Faes left back, Akgun & Casadei middle of the park. He underestimated them and we were terrible. They could have been 3-0 up in 15mins, and they thoroughly deserved atleast a point. If we don’t win on Saturday, then Maresca’s plan has massively backfired!

I think I’d be tempted by this. Kelechi was poor today in my opinion, Cannon needs game time to start building his fitness. Wonder if we’ll see him get some game time on Wednesday?

Our midfield options for this game are so much stronger than the pre-International break with the likes of Wilf, Yunus and Praet back in contention. Will have options from the bench too which will be very handy! Fancy us tomorrow!

Who’s that Ginge?

Can’t believe the World’s best team just drew with Rotherham! Im in shock!
-
Rotherham are a funny team aren’t they? They look really decent in spells, good energy, great physicality at play some decent stuff at times. Thought the same when I watched them against Ipswich too.

Sorry, who is this James Maddison you speak of?
-
Ermmm, yes it did. All be it due to our crap recruitment in the preceding seasons, but we didn’t purchase any players last summer entirely because of FFP, so it absolutely was part of the reason we got relegated. Everton on the other hand, continued to spend beyond their means (from an FFP perspective), and thus benefited over us, that’s indisputable to any person with a reasonably sound logic.

✂️ at the ready!! 👀 🤣

Viktor Kristiansen joins Bologna on loan
MalletFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah, looks pretty atrocious for both goals! Did Bologna have a Buy option with the loan? Could do with him not playing like that again!! 🤣 -
I don’t disagree with you that the ‘bigger’ clubs seem to get away it, but other than Man City we don’t really know the specifics, so can’t really comment. Everton have been spending ludicrous amounts of money on horrendous players for a long time, so it’s no surprise to me that it’s caught up with them, even with cashing in on Gordon. The likes of Chelsea have amortised costs over long contract durations, which isn’t a breach of the FFP rules, although I read a while ago that the rules will look to be updated to counter this now. But for me, that is more ‘clever’ use of financial accounting, and isn’t in breach of the rules. It’s going to be very interesting over these next few years regards what pivots FFP makes. The whole Newcastle/Saudi piece has added another dynamic which further challenges the morals of how the PL is set up. Being able to take their pick of Saudi based players who they can presumably loan in, possibly not contributing wages etc is going to be very interesting to see how the PL try to handle that, as again, I suspect legally they will be the right side of the line, unlike Everton.
-
Well, it is, 100% entirely their fault that they’ve broke the rules. This idea that “well everyone else is doing, so what the hell …” is a ridiculous analogy. And if people want to run their clubs/businesses like that, then it’s only a matter of time until they come unstuck. So I guess you could say, they tried it on, and have come unstuck!

You’re certainly right saying it’s not a “defence”, that argument is laughable! Apply the same defence to Man City’s charges …. If we hadn’t spent £1bn on players, we might have won more Champs League cos we wudda had a more cohesive squad and team ethic. Think they would strap you up and take you straight to the psychiatric ward tbh! 🙈🤣🤣🤣

Will be interesting to know/see how it is quantified, but the simple fact is, any player procured in those periods whilst FFP wasn’t been complied with, and who contributed to last season, has impacted the outcome of last seasons positions. ”contributed” could be subjective, but if they’ve played a single minute, then they’ve contributed to it, whether or not if they’ve scored a goal, assisted, kept a clean sheet, impacted a game (which they all will have to varying degrees over the 38 games). If anyone has a Legal background, it would be intriguing to know under law, how this might be considered.
