Indeed. Although, I read something yesterday to say that was being amended. It's in Leicestershire, although it has a Derby post code.

Someone to turn on the fax machine. And that's not a given
-
He said that last week......and yet, here we are, unsigned........

I suspected so, and so we can add 'Deb in the park with a bottle of 20/20' to the list of things you never see any more
-
Both of those featured heavily in our pre night out drinks, back in the day. Happy to never see either ever again. I've always pictured you as someone classy Deb and that illusion is now shattered, as I picture you in the park with a bottle of thunderbird
-
A number of them were in pairs, so a training exercise would make sense.

It's a lot easier and cheaper if you just use a trolley....

Bloody hell, Thunderbird on one thread and this trip down memory lane on the next. Things were so very bleak in that time. Are you trying to ruin my day

They are. The seat is sold regardless of if anyone is sitting in it. Partly it was only 28k as Swansea only sold 300 of their 2 or 3000 allocation. Last night wasn't the best match to be a representative sample of needing general sale, issues stated above, mid-week, difficult if you're not local, late for families, just after Christmas etc. I'm sure all of our mid-week games have been about 30k, but the opposition have brought 2000. Just checked, the Millwall game was 28k, the others have been just over 30k, but Ipswich, Sunderland and PNE had good away support.

Is there any way of getting a screen shot or similar from Jim or the club to show availability? If you want to move, generally not just to SK1, is it possible to do it for 1 match to 'test drive' the seats? With the moaners, a fellow near us SK4, he's SK3, yells "gerrim off" to any player who misplaces a pass or misses an attempt at goal. A whole 5 minutes in last night, Riccy P was his first target, I mean, seriously!

You'd asked questions, so I thought it was a topic of interest, a test drive would be a way of understanding more, but apologies if you're not. Very true, probably applicable to many things. And if there is nothing wrong with your car and you're happy, I say just crack on with it. I've just literally had the same with a laptop in terms of newer and performance. No issues with my existing one but have just bought a much newer additional work one, and noticed quite a difference in speed!

I'd wager that my Dad still has one of these on one of his bikes, which look like they've come out of the ark, too. Mind you, I'd wager that a lot of the contents of Dad's workshop could feature on this thread!

I've never driven a manual car and was sceptical how an EV would be an improvement on an automatic. Driving an automatic is seamless, and you can control deceleration to a degree by lifting off the accelerator. I'd assumed the significant difference comparison was from a manual car, gear change, two feet required etc. However, then I test drove an EV. Just one drive showed a marked difference and now having driven one for 5 months I really do appreciate it's different, better and far more fun. The gear change is much smoother and quicker, even from a premium automatic, the EV is also far more responsive. The one pedal driving is just great. I'm not sure if it applies to all EV's but our regen is less effective at full charge and for the first few miles I really miss it and have to remember I need to use the brakes Book a test drive, you'll understand

Cars with a coat hanger as an ariel. Or cars with removable radios.

3 fookin hours in PC World, finally decided on a product, out of stock. Can't order, nada. Great! Samsung have one but it's £485 more. Start again then. Splendid, not!

The toilet will open into the kitchen and regs now forbid this, unless it's well away from the cooking area. Yours is existing, so not an issue. With your only other toilet being outside, I'd be very mindful of removing a second indoor toilet. Is it big enough to have a cupboard built for shoes, or an extra one in the kitchen? We had a tall unit in the utility which we use for brooms, hoover, coats and shoes. Which works well. If the Mrs spends hours in the bathroom, do you and your son want to have to go outside to the toilet, especially in winter?

If the walls in yellow are stud, you're absolutely on to a winner financially and in terms of the mess and duration of works. Is the lounge an extension? If so, that would be a structural wall. If not and you're concerned re opening it all due to the previously mentioned escape routes, you could remove most of it and have bifold doors fitted, which allows you to have it open or closed off. Or even French doors with full length glass side windows. Incorporating that hall area will make a phenomenal difference. The walls we removed incorporated a small study 7x7'ft and part of the hall 7x4'ft and the difference was staggering to the kitchen size and open feel. It's remarkable how paint and carpet will transform a tired room. 5 of ours were magnolia mixed with smoke, 'fagnolia' and had awful beige laminate flooring. After repainting white and new carpet, they're super smart. Doesn't take long, especially done in the summer and won't be expensive.

Not an annoyance, just a mystery. Yesterday on the M1 between Markfield and Toddington, we were passed by at least 10 unmarked police cars over the journey, blues and twos on. Flew past and then disappeared. No one pulled over, no accidents, nothing. Its really not like Police Interceptors in real life.

Ha, I did, I just read the tweet... Slightly concerned my fingerprints are on one now

It will really depend on how much of the work you do yourself with decorating etc. If you're removing a wall, the cost there will vary quite a bit depending on if its a structural wall or not. We removed 2 and needed an RSJ in, which cost about £5k, I think. Kitchens and bathrooms can be £5 to £30k, it depends what you're buying. Based on what it cost us to gut and renovate our bungalow, absolutely no reason it shouldn't be enough of you budget will and are sensible. Oh and accept surrendering hours of your life to painting 😆 It's been worth it though.

I can recommend Nytol. Doesn't leave you fuzzy headed either.

I used to use my tablet all the time but it stopped working properly just before lockdown and haven't replaced it. I've just been using my phone and laptop since. Just stated looking today for a 2 in 1 laptop / tablet thing. The laptop is just too cumbersome to take on holidays but a tablet isn't adequate for working. If anyone has any recommendations for a 13/14" 2 in 1?

I used to upgrade every 2 years to the latest model, until Covid. Upgraded my S9+ last year to the S21+ and saved £15 a month.
