Did people not learn from Lineker's "Ranieri. Really?!" Tweet. I'd never heard of him but was mainly grateful we'd not gone for Parker. The best plan, in my view was to reserve judgement and see how we got on. And the half time report is that it's going quite well

When we moved out of our old house, quite a few of the cords to raise and/or open the blinds were broken or missing. I do wonder how long the new people spent wondering how to close or raise the blinds 😂

15% possession after 30 minutes, can't see Plymouth getting anything here. I know possession isn't everything, but it does help if you have the ball, at least some of the time.

Has your postman mentioned getting to many games

Didn't they pay Lingard about £140k? Madness.

Indeed. We'd infiltrated the top 6 and were playing in European competitions, that needed reward and wages to attract players. No one on that list is top 10 and are going anywhere near Europe, except on their summer hols.

Every time you buy tickets you're charged extra in fees. The last two sets of tickets I purchased for events had the following additional fees. Booking fee £7.75 per ticket Venue fee £2.50 per ticket Transaction fee £1.50 Service charge £5.95 per ticket Processing fee £2.75 I realise there are card processing fees and staff to be paid but its scandalous the levels they add on.

You misunderstood. The topic of EV's can be ignored if its not relevant to you. And they've been around for a good few years now, just because someone has one doesn't mean it's a new one or that those who have one may not be very well off, as you assume and just want the best deal to run it. In the same way people have shared tips for cost savings on mobile phones and tv packages etc. All first world consumption.

A topic to be ignored, if it's not relevant to you, then. It is, however, useful for some posters.

Lots of used EV's are no more expensive than the ICE version or equivalent. Ours was less than the ICE equivalent. And everyone wants the best deal, even if it's a few pence per K/WH.

It's not compatible with ours, but is compatible with the car. What brand EV do you have?

Again, higher than the Octopus rate. You do need to go to a standard variable first as all the better deals are for existing customers but, they'll switch you over pretty quickly. If you switch with a referral code, you get a £50 credit too - code https://share.octopus.energy/new-teal-652

I was booked for Osaka in March 2020, I thought it looked very nice. Obviously, didn't get to go though.

The season of goodwill has ended then Take the fuses out of the plugs for the tv and kettle.

The cost of UK holiday cottages seems astonishing! I've been looking for somewhere in Northumberland, a week late April, outside of Easter or BH. A couple are £800, most are nearly £1k and above. Is it just me? I mean I'm comparing it to the cost of a cruise we've booked, but the same week in April, cruising the Med, if you booked a basic level cabin but all food, entertainment and housekeeping is £630pp. TravelZoo have sold me a 14 night AI Nile cruise and stay in Egypt for £599 and have just offered me 7 nights HB in Santorini for £520. All of which seem better value.

What are people's thoughts on car trackers? Ours came with an active tracking technology package, which is due to expire shortly. We have the option to renew, obviously, for a not insignificant yearly fee. I'd wrongly assumed a tracker was helpful with the insurance costs, but it makes no difference to the price. So, peace of mind and easier recovery if stolen. I'm torn on whether it's worth it.
-
What rate are you paying outside of those hours? The Octopus EV is 7.5p 23.30 - 05.30.

4. Insurance companies are robbing b@st@rds.

Leeds result doesn't make a difference as Southampton won. If we don't win the gap is 10 points not the 13 it was. A win would be great but we're far from promoted yet.
