  1. Reading had 50 pts in the second half of season (2.17 ppg). We need 49 pts to beat that record (2.13 ppg). We had 2.52 ppg in the first half of season, so can afford to drop our form by 0.39 ppg. Not much of a margin for error but seems reasonably achievable.
  2. Going off this link, Reading had 56 pts after 23 games, and 59 pts after 24 games https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/saisonstarts/wettbewerb/GB2
  3. For what it's worth, Reading had 56 points at this halfway stage, so we're only tracking 2 points ahead currently. A lot will depend on how we deal with AFCON, and the end of season games (after an auto spot is confirmed ). I have faith in Enzo that he'll manage it well enough.
  4. Not sure I'd take a point here, I think we've a much better chance of getting the 3 points in this game, than in the return game during Jan AFCON. Daka/Fatawu should be really effective against these if the Leeds game is anything to go by.
  5. Is that what remains of the Premier League after the Super League clubs have left?
  6. Johansson is highly rated by a lot of fans from other Championship clubs. Some said he was one of the best keepers in the Championship last year and Second Tier Podcast picked him in their best XI of this season back in October. I watched him when he was with our U23s and was really impressed with his shot stopping (I would say Iversen level). He also had a huge part to play in taking points off Leeds and Southampton this season (Soton had 10 shots on target and he saved 9). Yet he was terrible against us today... Agent Johansson doing a Leif Davis for us
  7. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/saisonstarts/wettbewerb/GB2 Best first half-season (23 games) in the Championship: Leicester 1st Ipswich 6th Leeds 31st Southampton 32nd
  8. Looks like someone left the pitch grow lights on for too long and burnt the grass
  9. I'll settle for just a Morsy yellow card..
  10. The past few games have all gone to guest sales, so reckon you'll have a decent chance. It generally opens to guests of STH/members a couple days after all members, as long as the game hasn't sold out. The option wasn't there at start of this season and generally not previously in the PL, when it was closer to full capacity.
  11. Membership is season long, not year long. It expires at the end of season regardless of when in the season you buy it. Two guests are currently allowed per member for Rotherham, so you can get 3 tickets per membership.
  12. "Top probably isn't aware" isn't necessarily defending him. He's clearly less engaged in the club than his father was (as seen with OHL whose fans are saying he's not been in over a year). As such I expect him to entirely delegate things like ticketing policy to the relevant management teams, rather than be involved personally in those decisions. The free stuff, hospital charity donations and building projects were all things that his father started, and he likely feels the need to carry it on. I don't think it's something he would have started by himself if it wasn't already in place. However it's still a good thing that he's doing it.
  13. Leeds fans certainly don't rate him at all, calling him delusional and shite
  14. It was Southampton who went for Enzo mid last season and got turned down. Percy said we were offering Marsch a 3 year deal https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2023/04/08/next-leicester-manager-jesse-marsch-appointed-head-coach/
  15. Do we though? No doubt Ipswich deserve it most and would be great to see how they get on in the PL. But next year's PL is going to be tougher with 3 better teams replacing 3 crap teams. The worse the teams that come up with us, the better chances we have of finishing above them next season, staying up and re-consolidating. I'd fancy our chances much more against Southampton's Rodgers lite, than against McKenna with a PL budget.
  16. The grass chant no longer fired him up as soon as the trial concluded in favour of Coleen, if anything he seemed to play worse. I'd rather he not play even if fit.
  17. About a week before
  18. Was the initial shot on target? Looks to me like it was probably going just wide?
  19. Depends if Sulemana's hamstring recovers in time for AFCON. If not, Abdul is definitely going.
  20. Having spent far too much time lurking on both forums, neither of them are anywhere near content - consensus being that they would be content in a normal season, but not this one. Saints fans have pretty much given up on autos and accepted playoffs, they've started looking at the gap to 7th. Leeds fans, majority of them still think top 2 can be caught. Out of that, around half think only Ipswich will wobble, half think either us or Ipswich will. Apparently they have a terrible record in play offs and are convinced they will fail in them, so are very reluctant to accept 3rd. They absolutely still think of us as live score updates from our games get posted in their matchday threads.
  21. Overperforming xG (expected goals for the average player/team) can simply be an indicator of individual quality. Like Hermansen vastly exceeding his xGc (expected goals conceded), which I doubt will regress to the mean. A lot of that may be just a matter of player quality for us, rather than all luck. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if Leeds makes up the 8 point gap by the end of AFCON.
  22. Was this meeting instigated by the supporter groups, the club, or Enzo himself? Would be interesting to know what he says, if that's something you'd be able to share.
  23. Kirk at the recent fan Q&A session repeatedly brought up the bottling of 2-0 leads, particularly the Arsenal one, could tell it haunts him. He said he realised at HT during the Arsenal game that the players had never been in that situation, they had never even scored a goal against Arsenal, so didn't know how to handle it, and they were asking coaching staff at HT for guidance on what to do. But that it's something that will come with experience, as the team currently faces various situations for the first time.
