  1. I was thinking that we still had to play WBA. It must have been the shock of seeing Daka score, set up by Thomas
  2. It is. Win every game and we stay up 😃...
  3. I remember watching them on "Star Soccer", in season 75-76 I think, the last time they were in the 2nd division, play at Mansfield (available on Youtube 😃)
  4. Conveniently, Mansfield was one of the places included by Pete Doherty. Unfortunately, he didn´t include Burton, Bolton, Wycombe, Bromley, Barnsley, Exeter.....
  5. So come away, won't you come away We could go to... Deptford, Catford, Watford, Digberth, Mansfield Ahh, anywhere in Albion (Babyshambles: Albion)
  6. Excellent work! We have just witnessed the strength of (Filbert) street knowledge
  7. The Clash: I fought the law and the law won
  8. If that graphic shows different forms of profit/loss then it´s interesting that LCFC managed to lose more money AFTER the COVID panademic than during it. Also, how much are the club paying to employees to scout and recruit new signings when we ain´t got any money to sign anyone?
  9. We went up the Empire State Building (at night), and on a boat trip to Liberty Island and Ellis Island (the Immigration Museum).
  10. They sell great fish and other seafood at the stalls on the waterfront. There´s also a funicular railway to go up for a panoramic view.
  11. I'm saving my money until May, when the "We relegate" merchandise appears
  12. I agree but I´m sure that in some cases the fans are mentally "accepting" the worst case scenario while hoping to be pleasantly surprised as we stay up. In my case, every season there comes a point when I accept that the worst case scenario is likely but I don´t give up. This season that happened in November (!), last season in January, 2 years ago in March, and 3 years when we lost to Southampton in March. This helps me to deal with bad performances/results more quickly - within an hour of the game finishing I´ve put it out of my mind. I think that´s healthier than fuming all week long.
  13. The run of games from Bristol City to Swansea is the crunch: we need at least 10 points from those games. If we fail to beat Sheff Wed then it´s curtains
  14. What if the current undemocratic regimes are toppled in Iran, Cuba and Venezuela, and in subsequent elections the people choose a Communist/Marxist government (Cuba, Venezuela) or an Islamist one (Iran, not very likely), which aligns itself with Russia and China? Would Trump say "oh well, that's democracy"?
  15. If Trump so dislikes oppressive regimes, will he now attack China, Russia, Saudi Arabia.....?
  16. Will that be to signal that Top has sold the club?
  17. If JJ is fit, I would start him and Winks at Ipswich. JJ is one of very few midfielders at this level who has the lot: physicality, creativity and goals. Ideally I would like a physically strong player alongside him who stays deeper while JJ goes forward. Neither Winks nor Skipp fits the bill but Winks is a better passer.
  18. There was excitement among birdwatchers in Leicester today as a "Vieites" was spotted near the River Soar, resplendent in its characteristic Iberian plumage. Experts say that it will only be here until May when it will migrate back to Spain. Other species likely to join the exodus are the "Daka" and the "Winks" (rarely seen outside it´s native London)
  19. Agreed. Which is why it was, and still is, a mystery to me why, in the summer of 2024, they signed Okoli and loaned Nelson to Oxford. We wasted 12 million quid, plus wages, to end up with a worse player
  20. When I first saw him I thought "He looks like a centre half" Then I saw him play and I changed my mind He is physically weak for a man of his size, technically poor and brain dead Apart from that.....
  21. Yes. I thought It made a refreshing change when they played it at the last Commonwealth games, when an English athlete received a gold medal
  22. Thanks, although some of the figures must be wrong (e.g. I don't think he earns 10.8 M euros a month) He was great in 2020-21 at Leicester before his form dipped and Rogers refused to pick/help him. Since then his career has gone from bad to worse. A pity.
  23. Also, India has greatly increased it's imports of Russian oil in the last 2 years
