"Real fans" is always hard to define. Is a "real fan" someone who goes to every home and away match? Then we don't have many of those. I myself try to go to about 8 matches away and usually only end up missing 1 or 2 home matches due to family commitments/holidays. I have 230+ points so I know where I stand. Fleetwood and Bournemouth I signed off as no goers. However, I could have had a ticket for every other game. For an average priority that's not bad. People who are on the away scheme would have had to go to all (or near enough all) the away games over years and that includes the Championship. So for me, they have earned their right. Yes, some of them may now hold on to that privilege but that's the system's fault, not the individuals. To me though, those are the real fans mostly and 90-95% of fans who got tickets for this match have deserved it.

These will probably make it down to member sales to be fair, seems to be selling very slow.

I feel like in the next 2 or 3 years the motion of safe standing will move fairly quickly. It is obvious demand is everywhere and articles like the Norwich one just highlight this even further to the government. I know it's not the biggest problem on the governments agenda but I think it will be addressed very soon. Let's hope my feelings are right.

Impossible is nothing. Why not? We are certainly capable of challenging as it seems outside the top 6, no-one is ripping the Prem a new one, Burnley and Watford are surprising everyone but can they keep it up. Let's re-assess after December because we have some big (and lots of them) games coming up.

The problem isn't just single match tickets though, it's getting season tickets. If we expanded we could sell another 5-6,000 season tickets and I think the demand would be there for them. Last season there was something like 300 season tickets that went to a ballot with a potential of 6,000 applying, and that was only the top tier members. So before match tickets are even sold on a game by game basis we would have 30,000 (assuming everyone turns up who has a ST). Then as you say, it would also be easier to get tickets together rather than single seats once tickets to go on sale to Members/general sale. I think if we upgraded we would regularly get 35-36,000 even for average games. Big games would sell out most weeks.

Where I sit there is no chanting, just moaning. I need to move next season...
