  1. Cracking strike by Ayew. He had a decent one earlier in the game. For all the jokes (of which I'm guilty) he's doing much better than the likes of Ndidi who looks Sh1t even against Tranmere. Mavididi not exactly doing anything to prove he should be starting either.
  2. Excited about this one, so long as we know he's not coming here as the finished product. Still young, still going to be improving his decision making and adapting to the league etc but he's going to be special.
  3. No way we'll shift him quick enough so now we are left with a player who not only has little ability, also now has little interest & passion.
  4. To be fair, I've seen the players argue between themselves more times in these last 2 games than the whole of the previous few seasons. That in itself is a bit concerning.
  5. Bye Bye
  6. The footballing world has lost a good man. RIP
  7. Nice one Christian, how's the weather in the States? Hope families well.
  8. There's definitely red flags if hes forcing his way out because if he does live up to his potential, you can be sure he'll be looking to force his way out of our club too when some one bigger comes knocking. That said, if he only stayed for one season, helped us survive and then left us with decent profit, it would be an absolutely huge success.
  9. I know it's easier said than done, but it's almost worth investing more money in the scouting system than some of the players we have brought. The likes of Brighton are picking up some gems at an absolute pittance. Similar to us when we actually had a scouting network and picked up the likes of Vardy, Mahrez, Kante etc etc.. We're just like Fifa career mode now. Set some basic filters for about 6 leagues and go for the best player available at the cheapest price.
  10. Fair play to Enzo, looks like it's going to be a good result. I still think that over the course of the season, they will under achieve, bore the crowd and still end up with him not making the end of the season.
  11. Will probably be alright at holding the ball up, getting fouls and running down the clock when we are ahead. Unfortunately, a situation we'll probably never be in.
  12. I'm torn. I think we are above the points I expected after these 2 games. But equally, the way we are playing is relegation standard.
  13. I'd like that even if we ended up losing. Gives a few a good chance of advertising themselves. Couldn't really care about the cups this season, need all focus on avoiding relegation.
  14. Wishing for him out is a bit harsh really. We got a draw against Tottenham, who like it or not are a very good team and have gone on to beat Everton convincingly today. Alright we've lost today, but Fulham aren't a bad team either. The football has been far from convincing but we've got to give him time and see if things improve. It's still trial and error. We are a point better off than where I realistically expected us after these 2 games. Dropping points to the likes of Everton, Forest, Bournemouth, Ipswich & Southampton will be the big red flags. We've got to get as much from them games as possible whilst sh1t housing a few results from other games along the way. It was never going to be an easy season. Fulham are a good team so whilst I'm not happy at the way we played, the result isn't unexpected. If people were expecting more from these 2 games then they need to perhaps lower their expectations.
  15. Yeah, his names Ndidi.
  16. Quite similar to the Tottenham first half whereby we really need to pick it up second half to get something out of this game.
  17. Surely not? But I thought the experts here said he will never score in the Prem?
  18. Come on Skipp, get warmed up before Ndidi puts us 1 down
  19. Brighton seem very good at what they do. They buy players most have never heard of that end up being good and now they've got a manager that most have never heard of who seems to have fit straight in. Credit to them, a likeable club.
  20. Not too mad at that. Mavididi is very hit and miss in my opinion. When he has a good game, he's on fire, but he's prone to games where nothing goes right for him. I don't doubt he's better than BDR, but perhaps Cooper sees something different / more preferable about his play. I guess time will tell If I was forced to make 1 change, it probably go for Skipp over Ndidi more than Mavididi over BDR.
  21. Ah a nod to the age of his grandson, like it.
  22. If he's resting Vardy, i'd rather see Ayew as his replacement than trying to shoehorn Mavididi there. Either replace BDR for Mavididi or bring Mavididi on for BDR like against Tottenham. I'd like to see Skipp in for Ndidi though, for sure.
  23. Didn't see that coming...
  24. Yeah, i don't think there's a doubt about that. The original point was how much hype there is on here that, unless these people have traveled to watch him play, or are avid watchers of the Belgian Pro League, then their hope is likely based off a YouTube Compilation posted earlier in the thread. Obviously there are a handful of people on the forum who are very knowledgeable and will have heard of him prior to this thread, but hey. It's irreverent really, but thought it needed clarifying for your after your attempt at being clever. It's probably also irreverent as we are incapable of getting 'Tier 1' targets who have more a less already agreed to join completed so little hope of a 'Tier 2' landing.
  25. I'd say most have never heard of him but have just watched a clip of his highlights and have decided he's Messi. There's probably a highlight reel of Daka somewhere that also makes him look like Messi. It's a bandwagon thing once a few people rave about him.
