Fulham v Leicester - Pre-match thread (August 24th)

I'd be tempted to bring skipp in for Ndidi. Ndidi does some good stuff, like the Goal line clearance, but he's also very clumsy. Hard and unfair to really make any changes after that second half against Tottenham though. -
I don't think anyone has anything against Ayew, he'll get a good reception and as much backing as any other player. It's more that it's just another bemusing signing from the club, throwing money down the drain again. The Palace forum even seem shocked that a team could pay such a fee for Jordan Ayew.

Just don't see this happening at all. Wouldn't be surprised if Ayew is our last signing.

Yup, I think the players become blinded by the money & security from the length of the contracts they are offered. So much so that they'll sacrifice the good of their career to move there. It's a horrible club, I don't think KDH was massively sold on the move, it was probably a case of us needing him gone, and that being the best offer available. It will certainly end badly there and the more it progresses the more it feels like Drinkwater X2 only hopefully KDH is young enough to save his career when it inevitably does come to it. There were boo's at chelseas game last night when they went into half time at 0-0 and then more groans whenever the team played it backwards rather than towards. Enzo won't fit at Chelsea regardless of results.

Thought Fulham looked decent against Man Utd in their last game but nothing 'amazing' It's hard to tell this early in the season but these are the kind of teams that you atleast need to get something from if you want a decent chance at survival. -

Crowd didn't sound very happy at Stamford bridge. Some boos when they went into half time at 0-0 and more boos even when 1 - 0 whenever their players played it back to defence rather than attack. Big difference between being happy with results, and being happy with how the team plays. Can't see Enzo being accepted easily there even if he ends up doing a good job just because his footballs so negative and soul destroying.

Did it win -
Yup, was there thanks. I guess it's dependent on peoples interpretation of abysmal. I'm critical but wouldn't describe it as abysmal personally. Each to their own, just keep on top of your blood pressure meds for the remainder of the season.
-
Abysmal?
-
I'm sorry, but Richarlisons chance at the end wasn't exactly a sitter. Putting that result down as luck really takes away from how hard the team grafted to get that point.
-
This best go ahead now, just had him printed on my new shirt.
-
On the sole basis of him being younger?
-
Ipswich get Sammy Szmodics & we go after Josh Sargent.
-
I guess it's each to their own. Even with a season ticket, the games work out at £30+ each so personally I like to get there to watch some of the warm up / build up and then stay to the final whistle. Two blokes next to me have impeccable timing and literally get to their seat just as the whistle goes for kick off. It really is each to their own and perhaps they do beat some of the traffic by leaving early. I can understand it a bit more when 3, 4 up and the game is wrapped up but last game it wasn't over until that whistle went. But yeah, it's just an on going topic that's barely worth discussing too much.

Watched a highlight video that Tottenham posted on YouTube. ...it wasn't very long, and didn't really contain much besides his goal against Chelsea. I guess in his position, he won't be known for anything spectacular or 'stand out'

I agree. I had massive concerns regards to VK but no way you can drop him after his last performance. Would completely ruin any confidence he has. He's actually probably more physical that other options too, albeit maybe not as fast. Personally I'd keep the same team. Perhaps start slowly integrating Skipp for Ndidi. -

Leicester 1- 1 Tottenham Post Match Thread
adejo92 replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Much better than I was expecting. The 5 minutes before we scored, and probably around 15-20 mins after, were more enjoyable than anything I've seen last season. We pressed high, we fought for every 50/50 and we completely over ran them for that period. On another day Tottenham could have scored a few but equally, more often than not Vardy puts his second chance away and we'd end up sh1thousing a win. Fantastic result. Really liked Coopers energy and him getting the crowd up etc. Good game management too, nice to see someone use subs. -

Must be struggling for signal because my phone still says 1-1? who got our winner? Glad we beat them exactly how you predicted though! Any chance of the lottery numbers? -
Does this mean we can get a striker now on finance
-
Can't we play him tonight under somone else's name.
