But here's the thig- a lot of people think that when they vote in local council elections that they will affect the MP. There should be some kind of entry requirement.... It wouldNT surprise me if some voters even knew who the leaders of the main parties were! -

If they are able to tell a truth fom a lie, and at least know what yeat it is; then yes, of course. Verbal reasoning tests are a very simple way to work out someone's intelligence; they give a statement , and then ask a simple question. Ie- if I pay 13.1 billion euros per year and I get a refund of 4.8 billion euros per year; will I have 50 million per day extra money.... obviously a calculator will also be required for this one; but you get the picture. -

It appears you would have failed the cognitive ability test..... I have no problem with my 92 year old, very comps mentioned Grandfather voting. My grandmother, sadly is another kettle of fish. -

There should surely be a way of ensuring that the vulnerable and impressionable aren't preyed upon. I mean, you can be absolutely pissed to the eyeballs, unable to drive a car; but you can still vote on matters that have wide ranging ramifications. I heard 50 million quid per day for the NHS a few times that day- what a lie that turned out to be (I saw right through it- it didn't add up at all, but how many people fell for it? We will all be better off for leaving the EU.... maybe, in about 40 years time. -

I was manning a poll booth for the referendum. The number of 80 year old people that couldn't remember their addresses was unreal - there should be a cognitive ability test to be eligible to vote. My grandma has memory issues.... she could have voted in that crucial vote. How wrong is that? -

Mrs Vardy and Dennis Wise going to the jungle!

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/4949732/racist-slur-jack-maynard-im-a-celebrity-2017/ Is this it? REALLY? Bloody hell! I'm glad I never pissed in the side door of the spice emporium in town when i was 14 (like i was dared to) if a few words that aren't even relevant to the parties they are directed at can ruin my career. If someone said to me (a straight average looking guy) "shut up you faggot; who hit you in the face with a shovel" how the hell could I be offended by it? I understand they are referring to a nice tasting meat dish? Now, straight (or even, indeed homosexual) Brighton fans being called queen, queer, gay, faggot etc, I can understand as it is steriotypical of the area they are from; but maybe I should leave this to rest and go frequent another part of the forum to talk politics. -

It's stupid- enough is enough. It should be made public exactly WHAT he said. We know Ted Heath buggered young boys; we know Rolf Harris Is a dirty perve. Right now we are being led to believe that Jack Maynard is a racist homophobe. I have never heard of a person of African descent referring to themselves as the unmentionable word..... have you? -

How can making idiotic comments on social media be worse than cheating on your wife? Society has gone ****ing mad! Yeah, ok so the N word is offensive, and I get it; but it really should only be career destroying if it is followed by a horrific act like defecating on someone's face! -

http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/15074991.Man_found_guilty_of_selling_puppies_unlawfully___which_led_to_one_being_seriously_ill_and_another_having_to_be__euthanised/ This is what you get if you're being a prat in my patch. These puppies were very badly reared, and probably came from a puppy farm (judge's words, not mine). He appealed, and the judge acquitted him of the sale in a public place offence, but the sentence was upheld and the costs increased to 6000 quid to be paid 100 pounds per month.

For those who don't know, I work with dog law. The 5 litters max (will soon be reduced to 3) a year only applies to "hobby breeders" who do not make a profit (any profit, not just a big one). Breeding establishment licenses do not just apply to puppy farms, but ANYONE who makes a profit, and therefore is running a business regardless of the number of litters. If they have a KC assured breeders accreditation, then they would meet the Council's criteria to be granted a license, but they would still need one. Unfortunately, some councils (including Crawley, my old Council are so lax with their licensing function, that they don't enforce this rigourously- hence the number of poorly bred dogs out there.

Anyone selling dogs and who is likely to be making a profit (over 750 per pup is likely to be making a profit- there are many variables though) requires a local authority license. I would only ever get a pup from a licensed seller.... KC assured breeder is just as good, but with no real legal basis.
