Sad but all things come to an end. It will also be sad seeing him scoring goals elsewhere, I think a lot of people will finally realise it wasn't all down to him and his age as gets made out to be the case a lot of times when he hasn't been scoring.

FFS it's infuriating watching this garbage, why don't they cross the ball into the box every chance they get or have a shot rather then constantly holding onto the ball and going backwards, they are never going to score constantly passing the ball back into our half.
-
I don't think this, There's 12 matches left, we are not relegated yet. There's needs to be a total reset to the season, forget everything else that has happened the last year and concentrate on the next 12 games, though the manager needs to be changed now, he's lost too many games and has lost support.
-
It's unbelievable how some people comment saying things like he should retire or he's a liability etc, he had some good chances and they were saved or he missed, simple as that. It's happened before and will happen again just like every other striker. It's amazing how a lot of those who say he's finished expect him to score 99% of the chances he gets, it makes no sense at all.

I will only say vardy is past it when other players actually start playing the ball forward when he makes runs and he actually starts missing lots of chances. Countless times again he made runs in this game and the player with the ball either held onto it to long so he was offside or passed to the side for the cross instead. You can have any of our strikers in the same position and if the ball isn't played to them when they makes runs the outcome will be the same. I don't understand why it has to keep happening so much and no one is telling the players to pass the ball forward quicker. Hopefully things will get better as games go on since there's been a useless preseason.

I'm so fed up with a lot of the team I'm actually happy in a way that it will hopefully clear them off.
-
This is making me feel sick, it's obvious what's going to happen.
-
Vardy makes the run yet the pass don't come, Maddison did exactly the same at virtually the last kick of the game, he held onto the ball and passed backwards.
-
FFS I'm sick of seeing vardy about to make a run yet the likes of Madison hold onto the ball too long, pass the bloody ball for crying out loud rather then falling over

64 Goals Conceded in 35 Games, Where did it all go so wrong?
foxinmyhouse replied to Will1981's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think a lot of the problems come from some of the players holding onto the ball far too long as if they are the only ones on the pitch, it slows the play down and most the time get the ball taken off them and a lot of time it's resulting in a goal. If that doesn't happen they either pass it sideways or back . What's annoying is how they seem like they don't have the confidence to pass the ball forward incase they loose it, yet suddenly start passing the ball around Infront of their own goal then loose it anyway. I would rather they lost it higher up the pitch actually trying to score. It's amazing how it's so easy to see when the opposition is going to score against us when it's one of our own players with the ball. -
This is what's gets on my nerves, the teams playing garbage yet the answer, "take off the striker". How about they actually start dealing with those in defence and midfield that either keep holding onto the ball too long and giving it away or passing around by the box and giving it away.
-
Why do some of the players think they are the only ones on the pitch and hold onto it so long, wake up and pass the dam ball quicker.
-
Haha, Yeah I know that. I just mean I don't think it matters how good the striker is, they would all struggle in this side at this time.
-
Totally pointless, he wouldn't be half the player in this team, The strikers are living of scraps
-
Yes he scores some goal goals, but too often he holds on to the ball too long and either runs in to trouble or goes down looking for a free kick. A lot of the time I dread the ball going to him now as I expect him to end up on the floor. I think a lot of players who have the quality he has would do a lot better if they got it into their heads that it's sometimes better to just keep it simple and play the ball quicker rather then holding out for the foul and slowing play down.
-
He's started 12 games, the teams problem is not the strikers, it's the constant passing back, it's infuriating.
-
Maybe it also helps that there's two strikers rather then just sticking vardy up top alone and then passing the ball backwards all the time.
-
I don't see the point in playing him anymore in the current setup as I can't see him scoring, although I don't think the others have many chances either. I don't actually think it's all down to vardy or his age as some make out. Look at the goals he was scoring only last season even though he was injured and to drop off so much in months is not right. I just don't think there's any one in the team that is consistent in playing good balls through to the strikers, most of the time Barnes and Madison just shoot themselves, watch all the strikers they make runs but 90% of the time the ball never goes to them.
-
There's so many times he makes runs and the ball doesn't get passed to him. Some of the stick he gets seems unfair considering that even the other strikers are not exactly scoring loads, this is a problem with the whole team creating virtually nothing all the time not the strikers. It's amazing how some people say he's finished yet expect him to score every chance he gets, when in reality no striker does that. Every striker misses chances, it just that most of them will get more chances per game to paper over the chances missed. At this moment in time vardy along with the others are getting one or two chances per game if they are lucky, knowing full well they probably won't get another and I think this is actually putting more pressure on them rather then doing what comes naturally. Vardy got 15 goals last season despite being injured a lot, no player would go from this to finished in the space of a few months. This is crap tactics and a lack of confidence in front of goal.

I didn't think evertons goal was offside yesterday. De gea saw the ball for the first shot as he was diving the right way and the second the ball come off maguire he stopped because again he could see it going the other way. I also think that although the player was on the floor the ball was clearly not being played to him, it was a shot to the opposite side. Maguire then deliberately tried to kick the ball but got it all wrong. Which again I thought being a deliberate touch means that even if the player is offside it's not because it's another phase of play. Also the only reason the Everton player was in that position on the floor was because he was taken out by the defender as he kicked the ball.

Villa at Home (Carabao Cup) - Match Thread
foxinmyhouse replied to whoareyaaa's topic in Leicester City Forum
Should just take vardy off now, the ref is pathetic and I think he will give vardy a second yellow the first chance he gets. He could get sent off or even end up missing the final, I don't understand why var doesn't check yellow cards when they can end up having the same consequence as a red card and these can be checked. -
He got sent home so not to spread the virus to other players, unless the casino has the rest of the England squad there then I don't see the problem. If he's just got a simple bug like a cold then that doesn't mean he has to lock himself away and stay in bed for the next week. It could have been a lot worse. We could be in a tournament, a few days before playing one of our biggest games ever against Germany in a semi final and he goes out partying in a caravan with the sex pistols. Exactly what Southgate did at euro 96.
