..and still the best centre forward on the books. Makes me physically sick.

Has been for 2 and a half years.

For their second today, a decent keeper will make 1 of 3 choices. 1. Get it and win it... 2. Make a proper attempt at winning it and get clattered and fouled (need bottle for this!) 3. Stay on your line and deal with a header on goal... The option he took, standing where he thinks the ball will land at head height expecting to catch it unchallenged then falling over expecting a foul was shocking. Yet another sad indication of the mental fortitude this crop of players hasn't got.

Leadership - The biggest problem at the club is culture. That comes from the top, pun not intended. Aiyawatt is AWOL most of the time, Rudkin runs the club day-to-day, he clearly isn't respected by players or fans and makes poor decision after poor decision on recruitment and retention. He is teflon. The club is a rudderless ghost ship. The squad - 6 out of the 10 highest earners in the division play for us, 4 of them can't get a game (Winks, Faes, Soumare, Daka) they are exactly why we struggle as it's probably £1m a month in wages on them alone, imagine this better invested! The other 2 are Skipp and Vestergaard. Vestergaard is everything that is wrong with this club too, honking attitude, toys out of the pram on multiple occasions, on the pitch slow cumbersome and horrendous attitude. Like it or not, Ayew is the best option up front, I hate to say this as I think he is a horrible footballer, another with a poor attitude, but other than playing an unproven 17 year old there, he's the best option. (For what it's worth I'd rather see the 17 year old!) Our Captain's legs are failing him, another I'd imagine on top money, our vice-captain is the drink-driving oaf who should of been sold/released/disposed of long ago! We gave a 4 year contract doubling our Left-back's wages when it is highly doubtful he is capabale of consistency in this division. We have a bang average goalkeeper. Our starting wingers have shocking attitudes and are Jekyll/Hyde type performers, more often Hyde. The squad have been weak mentally for some years, since the Brendan Rodgers downfall really, there aren't any real inspiring leaders within. No one who will take the bull by the horns and drag the rest of them through. The manager - to not know his playing style, what he wants out of the side, his philosphy, his impact, his clear lack of consistently being able to motivate the squad is a huge worry. For what it's worth I think the issues highlighted amongst the squad it would be difficult for anyone to get a consistent tune out of what we have. He needs to show more courage to completely banish the bad apples, and protect the young lads coming in. He needs to publicly state his intentions, publicly out wantaway bad attitude players. How refreshing would it be if he came out and said: "Winks, Faes and Soumare have no future at this club and will not be picked whilst I am the manager! That being said the young lads filling their spots will make mistakes but their effort and development is what we are trying to encourage." But he won't, if you keep going back to a poisoned well and expecting fresh water, eventually it will cost you. He will pay with his job for not showing the courage to do what every fan can see, if he called it out at least the fans would respect him, he is towing the company line and he will probably be disposed of anyway. He might aswell go down swinging. On the pitch the least he should be doing is ensuring we are defensively sound and physically fit, I don't see either! How do we go forward from here.... apart from a Nigel Pearson/Martin O'Neill type character we will struggle to stay in this division this season with the impending points deduction, despite spending fortunes on wages and transfer fees over the last few years. We have assembled a squad of feeble minded prima donnas. The abject decline of this football club under this ownership is quite frankly a disgrace and the legacy Vichai left has completely eroded now. The sooner King Power up and leave us the better. I fear with the sentimentality of the stadium they will only leave kicking and screaming after every last molecule of what was previously built has been destroyed.
-
It's like they none of them are wanting to get hurt or be too tired for their big Christmas Night out in London later.... a gutless, spineless bunch we have. Disgrace.
-
That is the worst performance since Forest away in the FA Cup. 2 steps forward 3 steps back. He will never acheive consistency.
-
This bloke isn't anywhere near it. He's a liability.
-
Needs a song. I think he can be a real cult hero for us if he keeps this up! "I would rather be a Skippy than a Winks, I'd rather be a Skippy than a Winks, I'd rather be a Skippy, rather be a Skippy, rather be a Skippy than a Winks, he's a cvnt!"

From memory this bloke has historically never given us a bean. The treatment of younger players in this league, both protection of them by officals and the quickness to punish verses more experienced players is quite frankly a disgrace. -
Subbed off on 80 mins playing central midfield with 1 less man, looked like he'd been for a sunday stroll in Hyde Park... not an ounce of sweat on him. The epitome of our current position. Along with Vestergaard, Faes and Ayew.
-
I cannot get my head around that he is our number 9 and our fans actually have a song for him. Whole team pressing them in SK1 corner apart from him who stood there doing nothing then didn't move when we won the ball off them. Then in the final minute he cannot be bothered to close down a man 5 yards from him in the possession leading up to their goal. Honking attitute and zero ability.

I think I share this opinion. -
This bloke is a disgrace to the shirt. At one point in the first half we were breaking, when the back 4 got to the halfway line as a unit, Winks and Soumare were some 15 yards behind. Sums up how lazy they are. A gutless indivdual who has clearly downed tools, add him to the growing list of players who shouldn't be anywhere near the squad.
-
The decline started when Brendan held us to ransome for a new contract, had too much power and destroyed the morale of the squad in an attempt of self-preservation. He has literally done the same thing at Celtic and they had the foresight to pull the trigger early. That coupled with the loss of Vichai and as time passed his methods being forgotten or changed. Teflon Jon wielding too much power and Aiyawatt being a shadow of his Father. Leaders going and not being replaced was a huge concern. The symbolism of them being instantly forgotten really grates me, Wes retired his shirt number given to Ryan Betrand a free agency mercenary. Kaspers number 1 jersey being handed to Danny Ward, who was beyond useless. We have just done the same with Vardy. It boils my p**s that Ayew swans around in his number 9 jersey. Another mercenary. Things like that clearly mean nothing to the people managing the club, but they should. Because it means something to the fans. If there was no one suitable to take the number 9 jersey, save it for when someone has earned it or a marquee signing comes in.
-
he was talking to Vestergaard and saying "yeah left back, left back" and laughing.
-
Ayew absolutely kills this team. He should be nowhere near the team... along with several others.
-
Faes laughing hes got to play left back... pure arrogance.
-
I wish the club would let the post match celebrations be organic and not play that honking track from Porto away as the full time whistle goes. Little things like that they are miles off it.
-
This lad gets so much unwarranted stick. One of one defender he's sound. Doesn't really shirk anything. Alrite in possession and puts in a decent dead ball. I don't know what more people want?
-
I thought he deserved all he got after he tried to get Fatawu sent off and pretended he'd got a serious injury and then got up, walked off and played on...
-
I think he has started pretty well under the turmoil that is behind the scenes. There were real signs of desire, fight and determination yesterday which has been sadly missing for the majority of the past 5 years. Yeah inadequate footballers will make mistakes, playing kids will lead to mistakes. Most sensible heads on here will know the situation we are in should not fall at Marti's door but we as a collective fanbase have grown slightly entitled to instant success. With how rotten the place has been it will take some time to right that. Success for me at this point is being competitive in games, being as fit or fitter than every side we play and having a desire to defend our goal. I think we blocked more shots yesterday than the entirity of last season. There are real signs of life and the move for the goal was brilliant. As others have stated we will see who is here after the window closes but the swamp needs draining, attitudes need bringing into line, I see this happening under this fella but Rome wasn't built in a day. Keep the faith.
-
He could of very easily got to the winger and attempted a tackle or just committed a tactical foul.
-
I said he's like a pound shop Harry Kane for England. Never where he should be, between the posts leading the line. He took a free kick today from the left back position. Ironically it was the one where he put JJ in, was his best set piece of the day. But he shouldn't be anywhere near taking it.
-
Genuine question, whilst Bilal clearly has talent... has anyone seen him have a brilliant game for us? I think he is a good player. I don't think he is a great player because great players drag everyone around them up and make teams better. IMO He is a luxury player that only looks out for himself.

This bloke is everything that is wrong with this team. Shocking level of ability, he can hold the ball up, that is it, it means nothing if he doesn't bring others into the game by holding it up. He holds it up to draw fouls, would be useful if we were any good at set pieces. His attitude stinks, his face says he doesn't want to be here, his body language is appalling. He has been entrusted to lead the line in both league games and simply abandoned his post. Popping up in the hole, in defensive midifeld, on either wing, or just hiding anywhere else on the park. Him taking every set piece no matter where it is stinks (I don't know if this is on him or the coaching staff), his delivery on set pieces is honking. He wasn't good enough in the Premier League dogfight, he won't be good enough at any level in this league wheteher we are in the mix, midtable or another dog fight. He doesn't score goals at any level or even create chances. He gets into good positions where he attempts to shoot rather than pass (and 99% of his shots are blocked immediately), or pass when he should be shooting. Derelicts all responsibility, makes poor choices. This bloke won't score 5 open play goals in this league if he played up front for 46 games. Pathethic. The fact we gave Crystal Palace money for him and gave him a multi-year deal absolutely blows my mind.
