  1. Is this budget version of the James Bond barrell shot
  2. Pretty sure they didn't even play together at United so how the f*** would he know
  3. From completely personal perspective having witnessed the games, here are some of my picks: 1) His first prem goal vs Man United 14/15 and overall performance that day. Absolute pandemonium when it went in and truly announced himself on the biggest stage. They could not live with him and probably ended the United careers of 2-3 players that day! 2) Early goals and hattrick vs Man City 16/17 at home. Didn't have a great start as defending champions before coming up against Pep Guardiola for the first time. And absolutely blew his side to smithereens! Best part is years later he went on to do it again at the Etihad 3) It's eleven it's heaven, what a moment in history 15/16. And although didn't obviously hear the Martin Tyler commentary at the ground until watching the highlights later, it will forever be etched in memory 4) Preston away last season 23/24. That was a brilliant away end sealing the Championship title. Seeing him smash the ball into the roof of the net true Vards style in front of the fans. There was such a good feeling throughout that season and have fond memories despite us undoing almost everything this year. 5) West Brom away 17/18 - goal of the season. As a moment, I'd probably pick the great escape winner but this was my one and only visit to the Hawthorns. An absolute banker of a fixture for him to score in but to see him score the PL goal of the season with that volley over the shoulder on his weaker foot from Riyad's wonderball from his own half was sublime. 6) Spurs away last game of season 17/18. I know we lost this game but unique opportunity to visit Wembley with Leicester in the Prem and witness an incredible game that we should have won. Kane scored a couple but Vards delivered the MOTM performance leading into the world cup (where Southgate wasted him!) When he scored the opener and also pulling us back to 4-4, great moments in the away end! 7) England vs Wales at Euro 2016. Wanted to mention this although I only saw it on the tele, I have never cheered an England goal so loud! To see a Leicester player score for the national side and make an impact in such a pivotal moment of the game to equalise was just magical. My first ever England game incidentally was the friendly vs Spain at Wembley in 16/17 where Vards scored with a diving header then did the mannequin celebration! We've had a few England reps over the years but it genuinely seemed unthinkable it could happen during our decade in the wilderness. The buzz when he was called up was indescribable and remain convinced we'd have won a tournament or two if they used him properly
  4. Without being too cynical, Vardy's announcement has ensured some goodwill for the remainder of the season even though they don't deserve a lot of it!
  5. Give it to the One Pound fish man
  6. Anything north of £1 we should snap their hand off

Does non-prime Benzema fancy the gig?
  8. Good loan signing imo so we're not committed to dross for years. A young striker on the fringes of a prem club like how Liam Delap was at Man City would be great for both parties. And get Jake Evans into the matchday squad Would take whatever's on the table for Patson. It's obvious he's never gonna cut the mustard here. I think we're stuck with Ayew but could well do a job in the Championship.
  9. Can see them retaining Ruud tbh. If they were any closer to showing him the door, it would have long happened by now. Let's just hope Championship is his level
  10. Will probably call a your 90 minutes followed by consultation phase of the potential renaming of stands and then we don't hear anything for years
  11. PS West Brom fans will be the most relieved next season
  12. The greatest to ever wear the shirt. I just wish it was under better circumstances. There will never be another like him. I hope we can give a true send off in some sorts although we know this club is allergic to testimonials. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. All the best Vards!
  13. Was a blatant pen. Don't know what anyone's moaning about. Neville calling it through gritted teeth which is ironic given he's a United fan. You'd think he'd want it given!
  14. The only one who has the balls to say it how it is. Isn't blameless of course as captain and being part of that squad. But all we want as fans is accountability. And that needs to go all the way to the top. But I hope others follow
  15. This! Cooper had every player in that squad available to him and chose not to. Massively different circumstances Not defending Ruud at all but the memory loss that is making Cooper out to be some managerial prodigy we mistakenly let go off is laughable
  16. ..or Ian Bell. Did we find them?
  17. I was in the ground and didn't see anything. Maybe it was too high
  18. 30-0 goal swing incoming
  19. Watched that game last week and decided to go with this lineup. Clueless
  20. We're a long way from a moment like that atm
  21. Can we recall Hamza just to snap them
  22. Also posted that Vards goal at West Brom in the great escape. Like we've got fat chance of that now let alone scoring a goal
  23. Problem is as long as Vards is here no one will ever truly "replace" him. If he's fit enough he'll be on the teamsheet. We'll only bed someone in once the situation forces itself
  24. I think Brendan was ready to chuck him in tbf. Injury came at a terrible time. Hasn't helped with the turmoil and revolving door of managers since either
