  1. Over a year!!!
  2. I won't hear a bad word against PayPal. The hustle whereby you could pay your own PayPal account from your Amex and still earn points was exceptional.
  3. It's so bad it's funny now. Especially the anti-UK right wing bots on Twitter. Constant posts on 'this is why I'll be leaving the UK to Dubai soon, let's compare tax burdens...' A) It's all untrue B) You are talking to anxiety-ridden middle class numpties who have been working for the same employer for over a decade, and will never have the balls to leave their 50 mile radius, never mind move to another country!!!
  4. Did anyone just see the dog tied up in the Charlton end!!!!

Even better when you fly over it!
  6. When media hysteria about the supposed failings of Millennials peaked a few years ago, one of my kids posted a photo of a 17th century woodcut on social media. This lambasted Tudor youth for forsaking such improving pursuits as sword fighting and horse riding. Instead, they were smoking tobacco in long-stemmed clay pipes, dicing and — most worryingly of all — wearing floppy lace cuffs. Older folks’ worries about younger people are an eternal constant that tell us more about the characteristics of the former group than the latter.
  7. It was shelved by then surely. It reminds me of the early part of the 19/20 season when we were smashing everyone in sight. In particular the 2-0 win v Arsenal in torrential rain
  8. Who knows the name of it. You know the one though. Real blast from the past hearing the chorus
  9. I heard a jazzy remix of the old goal music in a cafe today. When did that stop? It’s a good song in a cafe context. The best goal song was kasabian - fire
  10. I am in Brussels in 7/8 Nov. I see Anderlecht are at home to club Brugge, prob won't get a ticket to that. Cercle Brugge are at home to Leuven though, presume easier to get a ticket. When do KO times get confirmed? Could do a day trip to Brugge as it is nice there anyway. @Bonanza
  11. Really, I had no idea. I have in-law relatives in Halifax, been a few times and it is nice. Didn't know there were good pubs there. Do you recall names of any?
  12. Yeh I remember that, at the end of last season. Basically completely missed the point about the work UFS and foxes trust reform are doing. Quite strange as otherwise he was reasonable. Also missing @lakoyne42 telling everyone that he’s done with the club and that the clubs a shambles. Everyday. On repeat
  13. Seems to be >£7 for commercial lagers everywhere in central London now.
  14. This pub has been mentioned a few times on the forum. I need to go.
  15. That’s uncalled for. Sorry to hear that
  16. That’s defo not an unpopular opinion. This forum is mainly AI-enabled happy clappers repeating different versions of what you’ve just said
  17. I've been to Monopoli! Typical sleepy drowsy Italian town but the football stadium is nice, I did not go for a match, just into the ground. Would love to do PSG one day, did you get tickets easily?
  18. A city legend, goes alongside the greats of our club
  19. Apart from Timpson, anywhere reliable to get watch batteries changed in Leicester?
  20. Wow, he looks and sounds completely different. A very admirable man and someone to look up to based on that video
  21. Google ‘Ibiza final boss’ - you’ll hear of him on a podcast, meme, crypto coin or owning a non league football team soon
  22. The Ibiza final boss met Bonnie Blue, I predict the start of a long and fruitful relationship
  23. Non-league mate. Where men are men, proper football, no VAR, no tippy tappy sh1te, no passing of the ball, can drink a beer in the ground. Ref must've been a real woke to give a yellow for what sounds like a proper challenge Good start to the season for Jersey Bulls. Through to the next qualifying round of the FA cup, and started the league season with a solid away point at Margate on Saturday. They had to get an emergency keeper with a few hours notice to travel from London, as the no.1 was ill. He met the team for the first time 20 mins before KO! Great effort to only concede one under the circumstances
  24. Durham Ox
  25. That's a huge shame, a familiar presence for so many thousands of us over the years. RIP
