  1. Were you watching the dodgers v Red Sox baseball where they were explaining the origins of the song at sports. Mildly interesting but I agree the song is annoying. Had to sing it on karaoke at every bar we went to on my stag many years ago, and it was annoying then
  2. Not done it myself but anecdotally heard of >5 who have. They’ve gone to the KP and literally presented their non-smart phones, and been given a plastic card.
  3. Downloaded my two last week, much prefer the digital tickets as I can’t go every game, passing around a bit of plastic for entry to an event is insane in these days. There are loads of exemptions if you still want a plastic ticket. Kids, old people, registered disability or go to the club with an old phone and tell them this is your only phone. They’ve made it really simple.
  4. 6 disgusting ‘Amstel’ at old Trafford yday. £6.95 a pint, terrible service. Only got 5 more after the first one because I got the first round and I didn’t wanna get short changed. Can’t be too long until people cut out the drinking at events. It’s overpriced and horrid. Made my day worse if anything
  5. Cretins like trump and farage are the tip of the iceberg. They’ve used low level tools like Twitter and Facebook to manipulate their sheeple. When those tools get far more sophisticated and permeate every part of daily life, we’ll get dystopia and look back on these relatively moderate leaders wistfully
  6. I've emailed Jim a few times over the years when waiting for a block to open, and they have opened it quite quickly in response. I'm not saying this is the correct way to run a business, but worth shooting an email off if you are waiting for a new block
  7. What would you suggest? My go to is 'Hope you are well' - I don't hope or care if you are well - but in our culture you have to do the niceties or people will get offended. I preferred it working in the US, didn't even have to say hi on an email, launch straight into what you want.
  8. I would say how the uk is able to handle and build up enthusiasm for large scale events is the envy of the world.
  9. Yes, they are excellent, I have lived in 3 countries are HMRC are by far the best authority. They tend to fob off idiots who have no idea how to organise their affairs which is probably why most of Twitter hates them. Dunno about the football regulator, automatic response would be 'toothless tiger' but let's see.

  11. Not a clue. Found wondering the streets at 4am, no phone or wallet etc. No time to figure out the details and what he was doing in Belfast alone for 24 hrs, I got a few hours Kip and now got a plane to catch!
  12. Not a real holiday but in Belfast this weekend to watch the golf at portrush. Once again proven to be a nice city. Golf was cool. Weekend spiced up by a mate going missing after Fri night for over 24 hours, filed a missing person report with the cops and they found him wondering around at 4am this morn
  13. Hell no you’re not the only one. Don’t make hand contact with anything in a public toilet. Handles, taps, soap dispenser.
  14. I too second guessed it but honestly it was so uncanny. Two of us both double taked and instantly said it was him
  15. I thought it was you, the speedway fan! Top man, hope you’re still enjoying both
  16. Saw Tommy Robinson in Luton airport. He looks as ratty in real life as he does on tv
  17. That’s a shame re QR code! Cheers for the heads up. Yep no network required. I’m in Belfast going to golf tomorrow, the tickets are dynamic. Just put my phone on airplane mode and the tickets still load

  19. That’s terrible. Yes it has happened to me a few times when I’ve booked via the 3rd party sites, hence I always book direct now. Funnily enough I did book direct to go to Jordan last week and BA cancelled on me so I booked with another airline, there’ll be a battle on to claim my refund from BA. 1) email [email protected] on a daily basis to request your refund. Doesn’t waste time with a bot 2) contact credit card to get your money back 3) travel insurance, depending how good your product is. In the uk it’s easier to get your money back as we have the aviation dispute service and small claims court for these shysters
  20. Yep true didn’t even think about brexit. But that’s really cool that you did it, hope it works out. ‘Small holding’ in Spain prob means a villa I bet!
  21. As the famous quote goes.... the right of any man is to vote with his feet. Grow the balls and go for it. We are in a globally mobile age and the places you are talking about are about a 2 hour flight away.
  22. Isn't what you're describing 'the coach 1 mob' ??? I thought the happy clappers were those weak people who cannot stay away from the club whilst telling everyone they're done with the club. There used to loads of them on the foxes trust thread.
  23. Yep this convo is now getting real, Tommy G is getting triggered, I'm sure Daggers will come in next getting offended in a shower of swearing so we better get serious before the internet stewards delete it all. I agree, of course loads cannot be arsed but of course loads benefit from the appetite regulation hormone it releases. It is a wonderfully simplistic drug
