  1. Sat at home on my own and watched it, remember it being quite a cold and rainy day. Didn't think we would win it, speechless when we did. Wife said 'we should probably go for a drink' as I was speechless for hours after ft, got the train to St Albans and sat in a freezing cold covid pub area and had a few Guinness. Went to a pottery making class and made a mug saying 'FA CUP WINNERS 2021' the next day. Doesn't feel like it ever happened as I did not attend a single match in the campaign.
  2. I use this bag - XD Design Bobby Hero Small Anti-Theft Backpack Grey USB (Unisex Bag) : Amazon.co.uk: Fashion It's got loads of pockets, fits so much in, light, comfortable and not nerdy looking. Life-changing as a frequent traveller.
  3. Yep agreed, I had NFC tickets in the first season and it worked really well via the method you describe. However having a burner phone is easier if sharing with anxiety-ridden happy clappers. Way easier to share a phone than answer questions like 'are you SURE this will work' and 'so how do I use this QR thingy again' and 'so I ONLY need to show this screenshot are the gate, REALLY?' when sending a QR
  4. Strangely, I tried to do this for the Ipswich game. Previously - when you clicked the download button on the website, it emailed an NFC link of your ST which you could use. For this game - it showed me a QR code on screen, presumably I'll screenshot this and use as the ticket. For next season I'll load my ST onto an old phone that I can pass on, everyone has an iPhone 6 or Samsung whatever kicking about in a cupboard.
  5. Totally depends on how arsed they are at the gate. But not worth the risk. Buy a bottle of voddy from duty free and stuff your excess luggage in the carrier bag
  6. Yeh man will do, not too bothered about the trip but figured I should float in the Dead Sea and see Petra before that region is lost. Harsh on Abu Dhabi! Worth seeing if you do get the chance, really fun partying and restaurant scene if that’s your thing. Like dubai but without all the Europeans making the place soulless and corporate
  7. With a bang. TRUMP 2024 - FOR THE PEOPLE
  8. Ohhhhh it's a cruise, well then you are the problem lol, you are willingly booking a cruise!! Joking, I've never been on a cruise but couldn't resist the open goal joke. White British passport holders (if you are one) will be fine in the USA, it's probably happy clappers scaremongering. I work in an office where there is frequent travel to the States and we have been given no advice to stop. Colombia is tricky. Panama Canal is unique and fun, you should defo do it. I am going to Jordan in July, will be good to see Petra before that entire region is flattened.
  9. What do you mean cancelled? Flights have continued to these places, not during covid of course. No one is going to cancel flights to the USA anytime soon so you will be fine. Also how were you able to re-book flights for April 2025, in Oct 2023?! Thought airlines only released tickets for max a year in advance???
  10. Forwards on today's opening price of S&P 500 above the closing price on April 1. So we are back in business. Next buying opportunity is prob media stocks after Orangeman announced another completely unworkable and unexplained tariff on films but which has got the happy clappers in a tizz.
  11. These pundits need to say things to remain relevant and stay in a job. I mentioned it in another thread but the trouble is when people who don’t follow football mindlessly take on a pundits opinion. Like the hoards of happy clappers repeatedly saying ‘PL football is boring and robotic’ Yesterday’s two sky games were anything but, as one example
  12. I tend to ignore what some estate agent or recruiter says on a social media website about the football club I support. The poster got me at a random European away day. They could quite conceivably win the europa or conference if they get into either tournament. Imo I would rather Newcastle and forest in the CL so they get dumped out at the group stage with a whimper, lost in the media attention of 4 other English clubs in the comp
  13. I would much rather that away day than wrexham on a Monday night in January
  14. Monga. Could’ve laughed at them about a kid revising for his English literature GCSE exam in 24 hours taking a break to score the winner to deny them CL football for a generation to come.
  15. A few generic but surprisingly tasty lagers in Sark. Saw Princess Anne and Michael in a horse and cart, she said ‘I’m in a bit of a rush’
  16. I am on tv, Bergerac episode 3 on uktv. Was a lot of fun, was paid, fed and watered well
  17. Christ, just checked the table, I had no idea. And you play Newcastle next week. Huge game that
  18. Yeh probably right. Gary Neville has influenced a lot of people like Farage/Trump in the sense that his ramblings are now adopted by the man on the street. Remember him going on about 'robotic football' in the premier league and then every f4cker was parroting that line. These people wouldn't have a clue that a team like Wolves won 6 in a row or how they play.
  19. Why was Starmer calling Trump 'Donald' constantly during the trade deal interview. Big change from 'Sir' or 'Mr president' which the president is normally addressed as. Good though.
  20. Are you an estate agent, recruiter or insurance broker? That is a messed up office. I know one forest fan who is annoyingly very nice.
  21. I am actually glad of it as well, will be a funny game either way. But the prem has been predictable!?!? Not heard that one. What has been predictable, other than Arsenal finishing second. Liverpool won it, Man City are in a top 4 race alongside Forest, Man U and Spurs are in 15th and 16th!!!! Bournemouth are 8th and smashing it playing crazy football. Thankfully it's been a lot of fun, takes away from checking where city are in the table.
  22. If you weren't upset at that game there's no point following an emotional and ultimately pointless sport such as football. Everyone needs an irrational outlet.
  23. Yep, and in Feb last year when they beat Liverpool and Feb this year when they beat man city. Wildly celebrating when you've won a home game on matchday 25 or something. Madness
  24. Arteta doesn’t help them. Wildly delusional comments pre and post match. Stupid touchline antics. Obvs it worked with Liverpool/klopp but you’ve seen what a calm approach in Slot does for a team. I think he’s taken them as far as he can. They of course can’t get rid of him and he won’t walk
  25. Shame it’s on TNT.. count yourself lucky. CBS just stopped coverage to report live from the Vatican as black smoke has been released.
