  1. šŸ¤”šŸ§ 🤨 It’s a thinker mate that’s for sure
  2. Agree with all of this apart from ā€˜the championship is like no other league.’ It’s really not, it’s terrible quality. There’s a couple of stand out teams and the rest is turgid. Burnley won it without breaking sweat last season and they are a decent football team at best. That’s what’s making me more annoyed about our current situation, it’s such a poor standard league
  3. Fair enough. Maybe you hit the nail on the head. As there’s so many visitors on any weekend, they’re gonna be doing it properly by 11pm at Maddox, tramp, cuckoo, kings road clubs. Or raving in the west end. After wrapping up at a boozer during the day. I’ve never thought about it tbh, if I’m out past 11pm I’ve prob had enough of something like cittie of yorke by then
  4. Very true. Other clubs do this. I remember seeing a Man City away European and cup final ticket release statement. It noted how many tickets would be made available to corporate, media, commercial and ex players.
  5. Not true IMO, I've been loving the PL this season, never watched so much of it. There have been some all time classic games from those you wouldn't expect e.g., Wolves 3-4 Man Utd. I back Enzo's style overall, but not in this league where the opposition are so technically poor and physically weak. You should be committing a lot of men forward, moving the ball quickly, taking risks and overwhelming them as the game goes on. Even if we give up chances, as we have done throughout the season, teams are not good enough or fit enough to take them.
  6. It's not our culture, late night drinking is not really a thing here. We open at 11am and close at 11pm. If you want European style, I'd be afraid we'd lose some of our own unique pub culture and bitters/ales and become a lager-led country of shiny glass holders. I much prefer our unique culture than the standard bland European operation of a main square, people smoking outside and rows of the same bar repeated. There are plenty of pubs in London open past 11pm, Gibneys, dover castle, Sea horse, big chill, blues bar being the best ones and O Neils Wardour st being the mentalist one
  7. Ahhh ok, thanks. Had no idea. Once again I have fallen into the trap of believing online hyperbole over actual reality!!!
  8. She lost out to the Business Development director of PariMatch and his list of potential clients.
  9. Haha these tickets have not sold out to platinum members with 75 points or whatever the criteria is, they have been reserved for commercial purposes. The club aren't gonna put £43.45 tickets on sale to John , Glenda and their son Otis who make it to 10 or 11 home games a season paying their £80 a year membership fee, they will be kept aside for the big money partners of the club. We are potentially becoming champions here, of course the hospitality potential is massive.
  10. Good point. You reckon we can get some temp seating in by 4 May???
  11. It's the last game of the season where we might be lifting a trophy live on Sky. Obviously commercial partners, sponsors, media and the whole rest of the football circus will have gotten their seats in anticipation
  12. No, 2016 was more stressful for me. Everyone around the world was watching
  13. Great post, you cannot discount the times we have ripped teams to shreds. Soton, Blackburn (at the time), Norwich all top 6 teams dispatched with ease away from home. Preston at home was belting. Only part I'd disagree with is 'needs a squad of outstanding footballers' - I think he has that, at this level. There's a good few teams I could get a game for at this level. Most teams' players are physically weak, unfit and unable to control a football.
  14. Still think we will go up but even if we do, absolutely should be judging the whole playing staff. We were 20 odd points clear at the start of year? The standard of football in this league is dreadful, it's basically amateur. We are surrounded by woefully inadequate teams. We should be confirmed as promoted by now
  15. Wrong. Thought we'd be champions by now, the standard in this league is shockingly, disgustingly appalling. It's low grad tosh played by weak journeymen. Teams have very little physical and athletic ability, and no football skills. We are the clear best team in this league based on all factors. Whilst all that is right, I did not counter on us not being arsed to go up, so am completely wrong. Still think we will be top two but what has happened in recent weeks is unacceptable.
  16. Totally agreed. For quality of ale, pub culture and concentration on the liquid rather than food and/or creating some type of 'family atmosphere' - London is the clear best in the world. The George is also brilliant, sits alongside the gun as my favourite London pub for group drinking.
  17. Same, it's grating me heavily as today the office is alight with talk of the two games. Whilst I watched that nonsense at the den. Luckily no more clashes between our matches and PL/CL games for the rest of the season.
  18. Two champions league classics underway and I’ve watched this tripe. Lucky none of the rest of our matches clash with the premier league this season
  19. Tbf what a goal from them. And the obafemi move, should’ve been two. Shut me up
  20. Interspersed with millwall ragging the ball into the air whenever they can. It’s 1980s non league nonsense. Not one person can truthfully say they prefer millwall ball to Chelsea v Man U on Thursday
  21. I will never understand the ā€˜modern football boring mate’ crowd. Even more so today. Does anyone really wanna watch this turgid 442 goofball crap. Or just say they want to watch it. This is horrible
  22. Just spent a long 15 mins watching on lions tv before realising it’s on sky sports action… on loads of iptv channels with normal commentary thankfully
  23. Great, I will ensure one of my avatars is free in the time period to 3d print myself in Kuwait to watch an AI-enabled reconstruction of the final. Can someone start the ticket thread now, so we can get all the moaning at the ticket office on out the way early.
  24. The Greg on the corner of Jamaica road used to be ok but no idea on a matchday. If I were you I’d drink in LB then uber to the away fans ā€˜cowards walk’ entrance at south Bermondsey train station. Seems pointless going from lb to Bermondsey on the tube then walking to the den
  25. Good man, now get yourself down for every match pls!
