  1. We will get promoted. Unless we get catastrophic injuries to Fatawu, BEK, Ricardo, Mavididi etc etc.
  2. What player has mentioned it? The players do try, I just think sadly we’ve got a squad that is in the middle of the championship and premier league level (which is reflected in our finishing positions in the last 3 seasons) blame the recruitment, certainly not the training ground that is producing some of our most promising players!
  3. I think you’d have been equally as disappointed if he’d played that role. Agree to disagree
  4. This is silly and honestly can’t see how it would be the problem, would it be better if they trained on a rocky quicksand-infested pitch with a hut made of mud to get changed in? like in any line of work, the better equipment or facilities will produce better outputs. It’s such a “Yer da” comment which is fuelled by the current disconnect between the players and fans. The recruitment has been shit not the training ground (as can clearly be seen with the youth coming through as you mentioned)
  5. The more they play, the better they get.
  6. I can agree a little on that but think you’ve particularly got it wrong with Thomas, and he’ll prove it further into the season. He is third choice at the end of the day at fullback for crying out loud!
  7. The rest are a high enough quality to carry the team, there is far far weaker squads in the league going for promotion other than us!
  8. Justin is a strong rb/lb and part of the three cbs in defensive shape, I agree but that wasn’t the role Thomas played last night
  9. Right mr special one what would you have done different last night?
  10. With Ricardo out, he is our best option in that role the manager wants. What else can we do?
  11. They say his best position is a no.10, I really don’t see it. The modern era requires some pace and physicality and he lacks that. He’d be better off on the LW in a possession based team
  12. We have a squad more than capable of achieving promotion, as long as the manager can keep them confident and the morale high. however we definite need a few players through the door of a high quality to boost us or I fear some of the players not favoured by the fans will bring us down if they continue to sulk
  13. He was barely the problem yesterday
  14. He has risen through the ranks so quickly I think it could be another season or two till many goals or assists become part of his game.
  15. Thing was he’s not gonna start for Newcastle so would be shit for his career. Two most likely options are premier league established Crystal Palace or he stays with us
  16. Looks like he’ll be going to AC Milan somehow! faes and vestergaard contracts run out this season and perhaps aren’t on a crazy amount so maybe Nelson, faes, vestergaard with aluko and souttar (to come back) is enough) ?? * oops two more years of them two it seems
  17. ... and then we apply for another loan from the loan sharks so we can have it all upfront this season.
  18. Cheaper than YOU expected
  19. Tbh besides his behaviour last season I don’t think many can grumble about him starting for us. Wasn’t bought for a disgusting price either which helps. He is in the top 10 midfielders at this level just needs to tell his friend Skipp to **** off
  20. Did look bad tbh
  21. I am pressing charges regardless!
  22. Vestergaard over Nelson! Criminal
  23. Yeah he won’t be going for that, so should be a season of Nelson and Okoli
