He played in the first Leicester game I went to, vs Bury in the 1975/76 FA Cup. I was 10, it was freezing, we won 1-0 with a Bob Lee goal and I was hooked forever. My Fever Pitch moment. He was a character and best wishes to his Fam.

I've actually listened to both interviews and I've gone from despondent to excited quite quickly. Conor sounds like Captain material already. This could very well be a good season.

If he doesn't go we are definitely going down. The passing out from the back is so appalling and slow no wonder we keep getting beat. I wasn't expecting miracles this season but I thought mid table was within reach. If the board leave it until 15-20 games have gone then it will be too late. :-(

That was absolutely dire. No creative ideas, now is the time for a manager change for certain. We are in a lot of trouble already this season and its not getting better any time soon. :-(

He played an impressive 4 games for us before being snapped up by Rangers of all teams. He was Motherwells POTY the season before we signed him. Played 90 odd games for the gers before ending his career at Brechin with 100+ games.

Not many old enough on here to remember but we once had a centre half called Gregor Stevens who made Vesty look world class!! Albeit we only paid £165,000 not £15 mill ffs.

I'm with you on this - he does infuriate with defensive minded tactics but I am still a believer - so want to go back to free flowing attacking football. I'd rather we were like Keegans Newcastle....
