  1. Love Enzo. Unfortunately some of the stench associated with last season doesn't seem to want to go away - i.e. no transfer budget and rumors of one of his top players getting sold this window. He's done everything asked of - and hopefully we get to find out whether his style will work in the Premier League. Sounds like he doesn't think so unless he gets some new players - which aren't coming in this window.
  2. He's 28 and featured for Monza last season. Even if they eventually sell him it won't be for much.
  3. If this happens I would say the financial situation at the club isn't just worse than is generally believed, it's dire. Othewise why would you do it now vs this summer? If you're set on selling him, the market for KDH will still be there in June.
  4. Ran out of gas. Maybe incorporate Doyle into a back 4 with Hamza and Winks as someone metnioned. I thought Winks faded as did McAteer. On the other hand, take the point vs the the closest competiton and beat up on the rest. Not the end of the world but dropping points late does bring back memories of Brendan Ball.
  5. Agree with this. I'd like to see how the club stacks up vs a decent PL side. Might add some more insight into where the club needs to strengthen for next season. If given the chance, I think Enzo puts his best team out there.
  6. It wouldn't shock me if they sell a decent player at a position where they have some cover - i.e. defender. Thinking Souttar or even Justin if someone comes in with an offer that's too good to refuse. The've got Coady gathering dust and Doyle is getting healthy again. I imagine that Doyle is going to play one way or the other.
  7. I''ll take the draw. Unfortunately these reminders of last season keep showing up from time to time. Had a feeling it was a matter of when, not if we'd concede. Fair play to Ipswich Town. One of the few clubs that attempted to go right at us, consequences of pressing be damned. Iheanacho was poor. More was needed in counter attacking when opportunities arose. Cassadei didn't add much. Yunus had a timely giveway that nearly resulted in a goal. Need more from the reserves in a match like that. We also may need an upgrade. I did think that should have been a penalty when KDH got tackled. That gets called it's likely a win. Still a draw there isn't bad especially given the current table. Really impressed with Ipswich Town only a season removed from League 1.
  8. I didn't think the allowed goal was blatantly anyone's fault. The ball bounced around and West Brom was in a position to capitalize. Love the response though. West Brom got greedy.... and got burnt.
  9. Love him. I think he's our best player.
  10. Just keep grinding out those results. Great job by all involved tonight. Cassadei a little unlucky but he impacted the match. Justin's goal was sublime watching the replay.
  11. Is that the same Patrick Roberts who got offered to us as part of a Mahrez deal at one point?
  12. It's coming - and maybe more than once. They're getting better and better each week.
  13. It seems like when the opposition scores, it's almost a fluke. Contrast this to a year ago.
  14. You could argue that Brendan's performance last season was one of the worst of all time leading a club in any sport. The level of under-performance with so many players was kind of mind boggling.
  15. I don't think the club could have been rebuilt well enough in one summer to stay in the premier league. At least this gives Maresca a little more leeway in terms of transitioning the club to his style. They've still got a long way to go to the get to the point where they won't be favored to go right back down should they get promoted. They're going to need more depth as I would still expect Premier League clubs to come for their best players.
  16. I'm not sure whether you folks in the UK got same announce team we did in the US but Kasey Keller was a little critical of Hermansen's refusal to boot it downfield late in the match. His feeling was don't get cute with a lead and just knock it out of trouble. He did acknowledge he's kind of 'old school' in feeling that a keeper's # 1 task is keeping the ball out of the net. Personally though I love watching him.
  17. Can Coady play left in a 3 back system? Based on performance if you're going to move out anyone it would be Doyle.
