  1. Has there ever been a better player at staying onside than Vardy? It's incredible
  2. I’m sorry but a precedent has been set where we need to see the lines on any offside check that close. Makes it seem like one wasn’t done. I’m sure that happens all the time. Like something in the box happens and the commentator will say “VAR will be checking that”... not necessarily. They need to announce any plays that they are checking officially.
  3. Wait. How is dier eligible to play??? that is staggering. Would’ve figured he’d be suspended indefinitely
  4. It’s annoyingly because the ball still goes in if sigurdsson isn’t there. At the same time I can see why it’s ruled out. He should have just buried his chance 10 seconds earlier
  5. Mourinho talking to the kids is hilarious and awesome
  6. Absolutely no problem with the VAR call as it wasn’t really that tight in relative terms. Offside is offside. What I hate is the overrule where you can’t really tell. I thought that was pretty clear
  7. I'm having hard time finding stream if somebody has anything. thanks!
  8. 3 points gained on Spurs + Wolves, 2 on Chelsea. Let's go Gunners!
  9. Ref has been good. Not falling for the dives or crowd
  10. That’s also true. Hi frame rate cameras both pitch level and elevated either side of the field - both stationary and moving on tracks. Do that properly and you could actually do it to that degree in theory
  11. If you gave that still image to 10 educated football fans - hell, 10 premier league linesman - and asked them to draw lines to mark attacker and defender, there would be 10 variations. That’s the problem.
  12. I’m fine with offsides is offsides no matter by how much. The problem is when you are dealing with thin margins, there are way too many variables as far as what we are presented with on TV. Mainly: - variance in where where the lines are marked on both attacker and defender. when they showed the freeze frame of the decision on that goal the image was literally pixelated and blurry. How can lines be accurately marked? when they draw the lines on the “armpit” (shoulder) how in the world do they determine where the shoulder begins on an off angle pixelated image? - thickness of the line. Like - it’s way too thick.
  13. I mean. That’s not handball. However I’d like to see if that ball at midfield rolled up onto van dijks arm. Nice!
  14. Of course. But how likely do you think that is to happen? Does it not make sense that for every point the teams below us thru man utd drop, it’s a point we don’t have to gain?
  15. Yes “awful” is an overreaction. Didn’t see anybody say that but I’d agree that’s overdoing it a bit. Id just say that I’d rather not wait til the last day to get dumped out of CL. 11 point gap is great. You know what’s better? More than 11.
  16. I certainly can’t. Silver linings in everything. But rooting for LCFCs best interests takes precedent over anything else. I do not like guendouzi. Anybody notice how when he pulled back their player in the box he did the VERY dramatic “get up” thing - EXACTLY the same he did when he pulled down Cags? Like. You fouled him. It really makes you want for him to actually get punished for it more
  17. It’s really not overreacting. It’s expressing disappointment that a result that was going our way got turned on its head with two late goals.
  18. It seems that a month ago other results were going our way for the most part, and now it’s evening out
  19. I think Mendy has been really good, especially considering extended layoff. West ham are awful. I understand the changes but it’s hard not to think even a mostly first 11 are cruising this game. It’ll be a tough pill to swallow if we drop points here. I just don’t really know what changes to make given the options.
  20. It’s pretty simple - in order to think today’s result was a good one, you need to think it’s not only possible, but LIKELY, we will finish above Man City. If you think that then fair play. But not thinking that doesn’t mean you don’t have “faith” in the team. I have faith that we’ll finish top 4. And that faith will turn to reality the more the teams competing with us for top 4 (wolves, spurs, man utd, Chelsea, and yes - Sheffield utd) drop points. I don’t consider Liverpool or man city to be competing with us for top 4. And I think I’ve stopped considering arsenal as well - although of course will be rooting for their opponent whenever they play a bottom half team.
  21. Wait - people are glad Wolves won??? its not about having faith. I don’t care how we do it. I don’t care if 16 other teams forfeit the rest of the year. All that matters is finishing top 4. Surely everybody thinks Man City is a lock for top 4, right? So they are not a competitor for a top 4 place. Wolves are. The 10 vs 9 point thing is kind of a red herring. It’s more about who we have the lead over vs a point difference. It’s 3 point difference bc a direct competitor for top 4 picked up 3 points from a losing position - or two from late winner if you want to concede draw obv it is what it is. But this isn’t like some kind of debate. The result today was the worst one for us. Period.
  22. I don’t get it. The whole reason we’re in a position where maybe every other club in England bar 2 is envious of us is because we have been giving young players a chance to play. And it’s the only way success is sustainable. Maybe Barnes “works out” (and I’d argue he already has), maybe he doesn’t. You win some you lose some. But when a certain percentage do work out and you essentially create a valuable asset - whether you sell or keep - out of nothing, that’s how Leicester City becomes a Champions League team. It’s literally working in front of our eyes but some people don’t see it.
