He'd actually do alright at a team that doesn't have to defend as much, plays a high line and passes it out from the centre backs. I'm not saying he's the same standard of Man City defenders but it's funny how good some of their defenders look in their set up but when asked to actually do a bit of defending for their national team look absolutely awful. Certainly wouldn't be Barcelona's strangest signing either recently.

I think all of us who are unfortunate enough to live in Nottingham are much more positive about this because we know just how well he did to get a club that's been languishing in the second and third tier most our lives into the Premier League. We've seen how much he transformed what looked like a laughably out of sorts club for so many years. Henry Winter on TALKSPORT this morning speaking very highly of Cooper. Spent time with him with the England under 17s and really couldn't speak highly enough about his techniques. When I think back to that awful day (which always makes me feel physically sick) in the FA Cup against Forest, we had a complete juxtaposition of a hungry, well coached and passionate Forest side up against the petulant, mismanaged tossers under Rodgers. If he can create that mentality here I really think we can do something special under Cooper.
