  1. And Top's really strange obsession with so called big names in charge.
  2. The comments on his Instagram post in Mallorca probably made him do that 😂
  3. I just want to get out this division first time and I still think we will. I just can't deal with the coach 1 KPFC lot who'll think that vindicates everything about King Power, Rudkin and Martin if we do. They'll probably even want a parade.
  4. Has it ever actually been true either? Must have cost a fair wedge to sack Cooper and Marti but they didn't exactly hesitate.
  5. You say this but I was told they were seriously considering Marti again after he told them he'd come back 😭
  6. Going to be costly but need to get it out the way. Sounds like the pros of going for root canal rather than a manager.
  7. Leicester Fan Tv
  8. Brentford want him now. I don't want to sound entitled because it's great that teams like Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton can get to where they are by being run well. But you can't help but feel like us more than anyone else have a right to feel like we should still be above them in the pecking order.
  9. I get what you're saying, I said in itself booking a friendly with club in same division isn't the end of the world. But knowing how this club is run so badly, I just feel like this is another sign there's no organisation. To me organisation would be keeping us up to date with news as many smaller clubs than us do. It would be the leaders putting everything else on hold in to get in Seagrave and sort it out from June 1st. A manager would be in place. They'd be involved with the pre season fixtures. We'd have 6 or 7 well thought out fixtures booked. There's never any sign we are even attempting to do things right. A fixture like this isn't done by any other club and I just see it as another sign we haven't learned any lessons. Having said all that, I'll be at Burton in July.
  10. It's funny how the modern way with the philosophy of if plan A doesn't work, just do plan A better is seen as progressive. If a manager was like that 30 years ago they wouldn't last very long.
  11. Exactly this. Yet we still have some absolutely oblivious and making excuses for all the obvious cracks again. I can deal with the friendly with same division team if I thought the rest of the preparation would be well thought out. But this just stinks of the last few pre seasons again in a time we were promised a bit of change under a new structure. The pre season under Cooper was a ****ing disaster. Likewise Maresca, but we just about survived that, all be it after a very slow start performance wise. So if you're one of the ones saying same division team who cares, I think you should wake up a bit. It's another obvious going through the motions, no organisation, clueless decision that's going to yet again see us struggle unless something changes quickly.
  12. Every guest they've had on Radio Leicester in the last week seems to think he's great. Glad that the beeb are representing the public opinion so well as always.
  13. Think everyone's forgetting we were already relegated by then. But it was planned as a Premier League club. I think everyone's missing the point that those games abroad are to get money by giving them chance to see Premier League teams. They don't arrange games with each other in England.
  14. Yeah Top insisted on flaunting his Premier League team in his country despite all the data suggesting it's probably not a good idea in the middle of their storm season. Of course we weren't even a Premier League team by the time that summer came around. Yet he insisted on giving newly relegated Leicester a trip round the globe in storm season in what was one of the most important pre seasons in history. Then again I feel like we call every pre season the most important in memory because of just how much they've destroyed us piece by piece.
  15. I think the point is more we would be arranging this fixture 4-5 years ago to wheel out big Premier League players for a lower league club to get a bit of revenue. We'll have far worse reminders of how far we have fallen than that, but each time they pop up it just makes me livid that we've all allowed it to happen.
  16. She's clearly got the aim to rebrand her image after what's happened. Got a long way to go.
  17. Actually glad he cleared that up about the laugh with Haaland. Remember being absolutely fuming because the camera panned to him having a laugh with him and we were being pumped at the time. Feels mad after the last few years of attitudes that I'd be mad at the goat for that.
  18. I think there's a distinction between fans, glory supporters and those types who go for a day out or just want to see Premier League players. We did genuinely have fans all over the Midlands to the point there was threads on Forest and Coventry forums losing their marbles about it. That wouldn't happen now. I think it's difficult to call someone who only takes an interest when you're in the Premier League a "fan".
  19. I can't help but feel aggrieved that I went to games on my own quite a lot as we struggled at bottom of Championship then these fans came out of nowhere when I didn't have a season ticket. I've been able to get my season ticket back because of the decline and I can obviously see why so many didn't renew. You can't really get worse than the effort of the last few years. But you can't help but feel like there's more attachment to the club when you're surrounded by fans who are there at the lowest. I'm distraught at what's happened but if there is to be any positives then I hope it's that many others like me are able to go every week again.
  20. It's genuinely amazed me how since PSR started with points deductions just how happy they are to decide so much off the field. Anything that takes the outcome away from what happens on the pitch should be the absolute last resort. You are talking about people's lives, all that travelling and expense we all sacrifice and they are happily pitching for -20 deductions as punishments. It just shows how far gone it all is.
  21. I'm not as in the camp of him being a write off. He just needed to move years ago. Some of that's on him because he chose wages over career progression but the club were never going to get a fee worthy enough of cutting their losses either. I think he'll do well where he goes next. I know that's not a popular opinion. It couldn't have really been a worse signing for us than he turned out, given what he was brought in to do for European level.
  22. When anyone talks about Akinbiyi, they mean the second season Akinbiyi that didn't score for about 30 games. In his first season he got 10 goals if I remember right. You'd be paying a fair amount for a forward who can do that in the Premier League now. At the time he become a joke and his confidence was on the floor as he got labelled worst Premier League striker ever. There's been many worse than him since.
  23. If winks does leave I think it'll be a deadline day deal. Where we end up paying half his wages anyway. Can definitely see him starting the first few games.
  24. Think it will be 26/27k early on and soon be around 20k for most games. 32k for the trophy lift 👀
