Forest 2-2 LCFC, post-match thread

I can't stop laughing at how much they've had ripped away from them despite 40 years + of hurt It's glorious. Truly glorious. Hahahahaa -
It also shows what utter guff people talk on here when they say we could struggle next season when you look at players they lost. We could lose 10 players and still easily piss this shit league. Someone give me a beep beep. All aboard HMS PISS THE LEAGUE once more!

Can't sum it up better than this -
To be fair I did once say things got messy for Mattock in a nightclub. He might be referring to that.

Don't think it helped him at all when the paper talk (probably fuelled by his agent) linked him to Man United and Arsenal. Everything seemed to trail off for him after that.

One extreme to another though. The bloke will be nothing but bad for Forest in the long term. Chucked money at it and broke the rules but the way they're run is not sustainable and with his antics turn them into a laughing stock. Top does go on the pitch too. Just when it's his chance to claim the achievement is everything to do with him. -

Hope that ginger one has a big enough hanky for her nose -
Why did Claudio sound like he was being interrogated by Police when they asked him about it?

I don't think the owner goes on the pitch like that if the repercussions of not getting Champions League will be huge. If we've been catching up for years and still so close to the line, god knows what they're going to do to balance the books. -
You won't win comedian of the year. Calling it now

I feel like everything adds to the feel of the club though. Okay, a kit in reality isn't the be all and end all but you can't tell me revealing a FBS and especially BC GAME on the front of our shirts didn't instantly add to the narrative around King Power.

The thing is we talk about 04-09 rightfully as the absolute darkest times in recent memory. That has been their 30 years. If we were that pitiful for that long and still had anyone talking about the league win, they'd be rightfully laughed at. That's been Forest for decades. Barring the period under Clough they were lucky to have, they have been historically a second division club. I absolutely despise them and so glad I don't live anywhere near there anymore. Having said that, I suppose there is something in that deluded way they look at their club. It beats a lot of the constant self deprecating way a lot of you talk about Leicester sometimes.

It's been a lot longer than 20 years for them mate 😂 Had to grow up there and the levels of arrogance because of an achievement so long ago can only really be compared to how I think the rest of the world view England fans.

That's probably one of the best examples of a player declining because of how early he started. The problem with Rooney was mainly around his body never really being athletic enough to sustain how great he was. But everything caught up with him earlier than it does for most players. Difference was between him and others was how he adapted his game and went deeper. But to say he was the same player at 31 to how great he was at 18 would just be a lie.

Inclined to agree with this after just seeing a video of Neville "running" from autograph hunters outside Stamford Bridge. Looked like Gary Taylor-Fletcher after 20 pints.

Didn't we lose that 6-1?

I actually rate this. None of us would begrudge him a holiday, but the way in which a player like Maddison would quickly be over it, and posting all over socials that he's in Ibiza is a stark contrast. Shame a young local lad reads the room on this stuff better than the owner. Thomas won't dare post a few holiday pictures but Top will openly crack jokes 10 minutes before a relegation. Bet Thomas thinks why the **** did I even bother.

Clubs who make bad signings now pay for it by selling their best prospects to balance the books. People rightly slate PSR but every club who's been forced into that position has done so because they've been so irresponsible. We fall into that category and then some. -
If you follow the modern narrative for a footballer then his spell at Middlesbrough should have been more than enough to condemn him to the lower leagues for a few years. Glad he's rewriting the way we see him a bit, still isn't a world beater but he's much more like the Thomas that was in our FA Cup winning side than the one that was getting skinned constantly because Barnes couldn't be arsed to help him the year after. Certain sections of the fanbase, coincidentally the KPFC happy clappers, seem to forever berate any local lad who comes through our youth system as a competition winner so he obviously doesn't stand a chance with them. But you can't fault his effort for us this season. Stands out from the rest who don't give a flying ****.
