  1. exactly this. And Bournemouth's defensive record is a joke
  2. lets go and get Lewis Dunk then. Try not to spend 45 million though we should have waited to announce the Maguire stuff as late as possible, now we're going to get rinsed on any deal I don't trust Benkovic. Soyuncu looks alright but still feel we are one light in that area now would love to use the money like so - 40m ish on a really good defender, someone who is going to come in and be solid from day 1 and doesn't have to get used to the league, then 20 mill on Butland, can learn under Schmeichel for a year, is Brexit proof. Good competition. Bank the other 20 mill for a rainy day and beers and donuts
  3. can't believe Ake has so many votes. Maguire's presence would be a big loss we need someone with physicality and stature, especially when defending set pieces Bournemouth's defensive record is atrocious
  4. I'd have jumped in front of Brighton for Webster from Bristol City looks like an absolute rolls royce of a defender
  5. if Brighton are signing a defender for 25m then everything must be a lot further on than we expect. We're deluding ourselves United sign Harry we sign Dunk Brighton have their man.
  6. better goals per minute ratio than Josh King or Redmond. Don't think 10m for either of those would be a bad investment and Mousset is younger
  7. agree with this. Having their best player fit and in his proper position (Gross) will help
  8. not quite sure Benkovic is the answer. Hardly stood out like a diamond in the pub league up north
  9. far better player but much less of a physical presence
  10. do feel a bit of sympathy for fans who will lose a club but ultimately the underhand way that the club has gone about things for last few years has cost other teams promotions/cost them chances to stay up - and fans seemed to enjoy the success and be blinded by it while it was there rather than trying to force out owner that was clearly overspending, and now come with a begging bowl so ultimately...**** em
  11. think people are doing Dunk a disservice here. Brighton's woes are not really a fault of his (and they have to be half decent to have lasted two seasons now) he earned an England call-up last season and performed excellently. He's superb at playing out from the back, he's not just some hoof-first clogger The fee is what it is, we are going to have to over pay for whoever it is, we are coming into negotiations, no matter which player its for, from a weak point. Rodgers has begun to earn my trust and if Dunk is the number 1 player on his list then just go and get him, no ****ing around, and lets get him in and gelling with the team quickly so any upset is minimal
  12. any names? we are the next logical stepping stone for those sorts of players
  13. don't want Ake, we are losing a physical presence in Maguire, Ake is almost half a foot shorter if Dunk is Brendan's man I trust him
  14. yep, didn't fancy him anyway
  15. we're going to have to overpay whoever we get in every other club knows we've got 60 million burning a hole in our pockets if Dunk is number 1 on our list, lets just go and get him, no ****ing about, trust those in charge to get their man
  16. yep. Very disappointed...
  17. 30 mill seems a bit much but I guess it is the market we're in nowadays when the likes of Danny Ings are going for 20 mill everyone is trying to squeeze top dollar out of it. Surprised we've gone there first rather than trying to get Youri over the line though would rather have tried to see if Brahimi would come on a free
  18. Not sure what the gameplan was but was disappointed in Vardy tonight. Rarely saw him hassling defenders and we basically gave them free reign to play out from the back, we let them out so easy and just dropped off. We also didn't play to his strengths either, I was desperate for us to try and get him 1v1 with Kompany, little balls into the channels but for the life of me I can't remember one instance. Anyway other than that lots of positives. Choudhury looked to be everywhere, there was 3 of him, he's growing with every match. Didn't enjoy seeing Kompany go up to Pep after the game though and basically tell him to sign Tielemans though
  19. not sure any of these versions scan
  20. barely had a shot Aintree tomorrow. I fancy Pentland Hills, think he should be favourite
  21. whats the full words to that Liverpool or Manchester chant?
  22. https://en.as.com/resultados/futbol/inglaterra/2018_2019/ranking/jugadores/faltas_recibidas/ 2nd most fouled player in the league.
  23. can't agree with this. He definitely does get harsh treatment, he gets booted up and down the pitch every game ffs. The Southampton stuff was the eventual denouement to how he is treated, it was a foul that wasn't given he does dive a bit and that's obviously cost him long term as refs don't believe it when he has got a genuine case but we can't moralise over players diving when we've had players do it this season
