  1. Barnes is a hell of a talent. Problem is, like Maddison, he hasn't produced anything like the potential he has promised the last few years this season.
  2. Fair dues Tyrone, I thought they dominated but that penalty miss will haunt Mayo. The Hurling and football have been fantastic this summer.
  3. Honestly can't see anything being on him. He's the least of the worries and if fine as backup.
  4. Issue is the manager can't see it. That's the worry clever clogs. He bought two highly rated players who haven't had a look in and won't drop Vardy for one game to keep the opposition guessing. He insists on playing Perez but that's anyone's guess. But other than that yes if he picks the same formation and players.
  5. Problems in three key areas. Obviously central defence is a disaster but nobody can really put that on the manager but deary me Soyuncu looks miles off it. He had a terrible Euro tournament and he seems to have carried that poor form into the start of the season. Maybe time to put Ndidi there but that position looks a bit cursed at the moment. Midfield is a real worry. Maddison again nowhere but Ndidi plays like a guy who wants away. Time for hard truth - Vardy shouldn't start every game. Ihneacho must be wondering what he has to do to get a start. Tonight was on Rodgers. Awful team selection and setup. His interview will be interesting but I'd be mildly worried watching that.
  6. Soyuncu has be some distance been the worst player on the pitch.
  7. This is the kind of match that Rodgers drives you mad. Team obviously needs changes and has underperformed from the first minute but he won't make changes
  8. I said in the match thread, the manager has a blind spot and Perez is that player. I bet he starts him again whenever he can. Dreadful decision to start him tonight.
  9. Limerick were absolutely outstanding and miles ahead of Cork. I think in the same way Dublin dominated football for years I can see the same with this Limerick team.
  10. They say every manager has a blind spot. Is Perez, Brendans blind spot.
  11. The turnaround that's taking place at Celtic is nothing short of breathtaking at the minute. We're in for a roller-coaster season. Cannot believe the change in Tom Rogic.
  12. The Hurling and Football games this year have been incredible, but I say that every year. That Limerick team (hurling) are sensational. Do hope Tyrone can give Kerry a game when they meet.
  13. Dodged a bullet. I despise him. Brighton is his level.
  14. Negotiations have started (apparently) in a swap deal with an AC Milan player (Romagnoli). Given his massive wages I suspect this one to rumble on.
  15. Agree with Muzzy Larsson - Christie is dreadful. Has been at the club a good while and was loaned out to Aberdeen who wanted to keep him. We had a lot of injuries in midfield and Christie took his chance and played really well and had a few good seasons, scoring some peaches. But the last few seasons he has been dreadful, above all he was quite possibly Celtic's worst player last season, and in the kind season we had in 20/21 that takes some beating. Gives away possession far too easily, balloons the ball over the bar or a mile wide. He isn't one I will lose any sleep over.
  16. The 40% if true (and I doubt it) is on profit. We signed him for £9 mill apparently so £15 mill is only a few million and Celtic move on a player on high wages and have money in the bank for the enormous rebuild needed.
  17. Those Southampton and Newcastle matches really kicking in the balls now.
  18. Naw that one is definitely on Maddison
  19. Maddison is an excellent player. He hasn't recovered from his injury and is clearly unfit. Playing him and Perez last night is on the manager. Most of the season he's an asset he's just had a loss of form/fitness issues at crucial times the last two seasons .
  20. I've seen this before with Rodgers. Baffling decisions and a stubborness about changing the system or using players. It's always a mixed feeling because he is a brilliant manager. I've no idea what he was thinking tonight. Really strange set up. Chelsea were always going to come out of the traps eager for revenge and to secure their CL place. That the manager couldn't somehow see it is his limitations. He lacks a killer touch. Sad to say but time is up for Jamie. 2 goals in some 17 or so games he's on the periphery of games, still chasing the lost cause, but a striker is absolutely a position that must be strengthened in the summer.
  21. Was baffled when he signed. He is awful.
  22. Hate to say it but Vardy is finished. Baffling decisions from the manager tonight. Don't know what Praet has done to not get a game in the last 6/7 games. Still good season Europa League and FA Cup.
  23. Alright lads. You can probably tell by my name I'm also a Celtic supporter but we're allowed two teams here 😂. Supported the Foxes since my teens and I'm now in my 50s. Got slagged for years for supporting Leicester - nobody slags me now! Feeling nervous as hell but we can do it. Come on the Foxes 🦊
  24. Simply put it should be the last game of the season with a 3pm kickoff. So many great memories of FA Cup Final day growing up and for many years had a wee routine of an Ulster fry and to the pub. Not the same since it changed and certainly feels devalued.
