  1. I think they both had reboots in the last few years. The new Old Spice advert was so bad it was nearly good.At least they smell of something.
  2. There was Spice in a green can and my favourite.Amber.Wasn’t keen on Musk. The Euro equivalent was called Axe and I think they had a couple of different flavours.Might be wrong.
  3. Barnet look set to move back to their Borough with a new 8/6000 ground getting approval.I wonder what will become of the Hive? It’s a decent venue with loads of training pitches.Could Wealdstone move in there?
  4. I have made a real effort to take in as many League 1 and 2 matches as I can this season. My conclusion is that home attendances are BS.You are looking at 10/20% no shows. That’s assuming tickets were sold in the first place.i will add that away support has been quite impressive.
  5. Best way to truly appreciate a football match is to go on your own with 3% phone battery.
  6. Reading beat a decent Stevenage team 1 nil away.Despite everything that’s gone on they still continue to pick up points
  7. Rola Cola was grim
  8. Nathan Jones goes in at Charlton Athletic
  9. The good people of the AA and RAC have plenty of horror stories about idiot users of their services,I can assure you. They do a difficult job.
  10. On paper yes.The reality is different. Yesterday I went to Charlton v Derby Official attendance just over 16000.Derby filled the 3200 away end.No way was there 13000 Charlton fans in that ground.8/9000 max. This has been going on for years throughout the Football League.I know they count season tickets and pre booked seats as part of the gate regardless of attendance, but thousands of no shows.Really?? Having said that non league seems to be thriving.
  11. Princess Aura from Flash Gordon has to be the sexiest film character ever. Total wrongun.Love her.
  12. Ipswich Town sign Wimbledon’s Al Hamadi.Gutted for the Don’s but hope he does well
  13. I thought it was the third Monday of the year and as the 1st of January was a Monday it’s early this year.
  14. Drove past the Brackley next home game sign on the A43 last week.Had to do a double take when it read v Scunthorpe, even though I know both teams are NLN.
  15. Ironically the BBC right on mob gave Mr JB’s new career as a malicious WUM a major leg up,when they invited him onto the panel of one of their flagship political programs.Question Time lost all it’s remaining credibility from that point on.
  16. Brings folks in spending money.Plus it makes a statement. They will argue they make their cash back and more.
  17. A real get out and do stuff dampner
  18. Has any player ever been sold for cash with weeks left on his contract? Will be lucky to get a nominal loan fee.
  19. Brian Little said in that book he wrote that the club’s long term aim was to get to the same level as Wednesday and Sheff U.Wednesday being the far more established.I honestly didn’t think it was remotely possible
  20. That is interesting.Although I think it was 1966 that they last averaged over 30000.It surprised me as they faired really well during the eighties and got decent 20000 + gates which was pretty good going for that decade and probably explains why they always seemed to have funds.Always traveled in numbers.
  21. Milks now a loss leader no?
  22. Bournemouth 4 points behind Newcastle with a game in hand IF it stays like this. How has this happened?
  23. Yes they did have an off season. The fact that the nearest rivals were Spurs and a very fragile Arsenal proves this.Manchester City practically gave up around the time we beat them.KDB got injured and the manager was told his services weren’t going to be needed the next season.Very odd.
  24. On the topic of stagnant football clubs, then you have to go some to beat Rochdale.Their fans deserve maximum respect.I think the old Gainsborough Trinity had a tremendous record of never being relegated,at least right up to the end.On the other hand I don’t think they got promoted much either. Any Leicester fan that was born in the mid to late Seventies, who couldn’t remember the Milne 82/83 promotion push, would go deep into their teens thinking that supporting Leicester was just one long relegation battle.I had gone through the education system and was in paid work before I witnessed a Leicester team higher than 9th at any time during the season proper. With not much joy in the cup competitions either.
  25. Take Everton and Palace out the bottom half and that PL table looks very 2014 League 1
