How can you post a picture of that shirt and not use this picture? What a game... At Lords that day to watch Leicestershire getting thrashed by Somerset - and that Scott Boswell over, so loads of us crammed into a pub near Marylebone station needing a lift, amd that did it! I'm choosey about my shirts... and have only bought 1 White England shirt, and its this one... with 11 on the back for Heskey's number at the 2002 World Cup...

The biggest mis-use of the flag to me was the Olympic 2012 kit: The St Georges cross was navy, and had light blue in there, and this was the defining look of the kit, not tucked away at the back. But it worked as an abstract representation of the flag - it sold well (I've got one of the football kits), and I don't remember any big outcry at the time, and it became an iconic part of our home Olympics. And from then on, I've seen it as OK to play around with the flag designs on shirts. At the end of the day, its an item of clothing and not a flag. If you don't like the shirt, then don't buy it - simple! I think our political leaders have more important things to use their platform for.

I haven't read the PSR rules, but the implementation is beyond a joke. I would expect before the start of the season, you would need to present the PSR calcs for the past 3 financial periods. If you are in breach, then you will be deducted x number if points during the season about to start. This whole idea of results dripping out during the season, and arbitrary points deductions - we've had 10, 6 and 4 so far, and a club not even in the league - is so amateurish. Bias aside, I hope our lawyers run rings around this nonsense, and a proper penalty system is introduced.

OK - now I'm getting really old. I remember that '98 shirt being a bit of a retro return to the mid-80s shirts after the light blue and a few shirts without much red. So now I'm seeing retro shirts of retro shirts in my lifetime

These pictures of crashed buses are a bit premature. I'm sure at this very moment Enzo is on the training ground... "Hang on a minute lads... I've got a great idea "

Leicester City Mishmash - The History of LCFC in One Image
Golden Fox replied to Mark's topic in Leicester City Forum
So much more to look at in this updated version - really could get lost in there for hours. Great to see Willie Thorne up in the stand, but there is another snooker player that deserves his place - either parading the World Championship trophy on the pitch, or maybe next to Willie in the stand holding up a flag... -
My birthday cards have a reputation for being late, so may as well be late here as well... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

It's Ndidi who may be back next week not ......
Golden Fox replied to hackneyfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I don't think Ndidi is an English word. It might be Nigerian? -
Well no surprises - that stat has gone now anyway!

HT: Man City 0-1 Man Utd Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 143 Premier League matches when leading at half-time (W123, D20) dating back to 21 September 2014 against Leicester City (5-3 defeat). That might change in the next 45 mins...

I was actually making 2 points. The first was obviously that on a one-sided thread comparing Brendan & Enzo it was worth pointing out that Brendan actually has more PPG this year than Enzo. The second was a much deeper point, but seeing as you asked... I come on FoxesTalk to find out what is happening at our club (news, transfers, injuries etc) and for informed insight and have a bit of banter with other posters. I click on threads like this and see a very well constructed post about the difference in culture which is spot on and well worth a read. I then see posts like yours calling Brendan a fraud saying he is vile, saying it is nearly impossible not to win the league in Scotland, and gloating at the fact he is struggling. I want to read informed opinions and it annoys me when I am just reading someone's rant. You have added nothing to the conversation, just used the thread as an excuse to pile on and call someone names. I do wonder about the motivation for this - does it make you feel better about yourself having a go at someone?? - or do you want to post something others agree with for self esteem?? So my point was to have a bit of fun and point out that your black and white view of the world was a bit more nuanced - and maybe to get people to think about what they post rather than just posting hate. But it obviously fell on deaf ears, so I'll just wait for all the abuse I'll now get for posting this...

Steve Howard injury time winner incoming... I can feel it!!!

Do they mean us? I'm trying to think of what they would have used to model Kane sitting on a bench...

Not strengthening the team in January
Golden Fox replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I was just reading an article on the BBC website about Celtic and thinking that was us a year ago... "Poor summer transfer window, poor January transfer window, Rodgers asking for quality players publicly and not getting them" Was just thinking about how well Mareaca had done to lose players and build a cohesive squad without all of the whinging that derailed last year and then I see this thread! -
Shocking stuff. And reports say loads of children caught up in it as well. Sounds like it was just an argument that escalated, and when people carry guns to a celebration parade, this is what can happen. Don't like making political comments on a sports forum, but time to just start banning the f**king things.

Well said - I was going to make exactly these points! But probably not as eloquently!

Thinking about it a couple of days after, I can't help but think the biggest thing that cost the Niners was injuries. Dre Greenlaw going off was a big deal - and it was LB positioning that helped the 2 Mahommes runs. But having both Samuel and Kittle carrying injuries when it got to OT can't be underestimated when Purdy was getting pressured and looking for options. There were so many little things that added up (the punt fumble, the missed PAT, failure to complete the 3rd downs just before the 2 minute warning and in OT, those 2 Mahommes runs) - any of these could have changed the result - but the injuries were consistent and eroded some of the advantages we were seeing in the first half. Still a bit sick about it now, knowing they should have won, but it will be a long time again before the chance comes around again.

F**k it

Got back into the NFL in 2007, when SF became my team (moving up from 2nd after the demise of the Houston Oilers). Been waiting 16 years for a Superbowl win. This is not the time to give up!

In a way, the biggest worry was the Niners blowing a 2 score lead. They have done that now and got it out their system. Now time to go and win from behind.
