  1. There was no lack of effort out there today. They are simply being set up for defeat by a woefully inadequate manager and left under equipped courtesy of DoF who doesn't know what to do. Faes gave everything today. VK. Soumare tried. Bilal desperately trying to whip up the crowd. JJ keeping going despite crowd on his back and his lack of form (always respect a player that doesn't hide) Edit; winks btw, you can see from m.his body language,.it's a hopeless cause
  2. Yep, makes sense and valid points. I'd counter.it with a 25m player should be able to cope in a two too. But he isn't at that 25m level. He's a 5m player being asked to play against superior players. Which the manager must decide; do I play regardless and hang a player out to dry? Or do I cover the shortcomings? Soumare and Winks also can't cope playing against superior movement,.speed of thought and strength. The logical answer - for all three - is to compensate. This clown in charge will/can't do that
  3. That isn't an excuse to sub Bilal, refuse to play Buonnotte, persist with Vards, play McAteer, sub off Stephy and hang the midfield out to dry But yes, still agree we are going down regardless of management
  4. Yup. Lots of fans are culpable in this. The mood music was positive. On the basis he was famous, good looking and wore cashmere. There's simply more to football than that. But a good 75% of the fan base think there isn't. And, as the post above says, Top's immature ego (Manchester United sir!) and Rudkin's amateurism (I'll look at this pile of CVs agent xyz have sent in) .....it's a recipe for disaster. The only good thing about this whole saga is the smug satisfaction of being proved right! I called this Dutch bozo from the get go. In fact, I even called him out at his tenure at Man U
  5. Nonsense. He's a decent 5m level player who, as shown earlier in the season, can operate in a three. Bad transfer value. And utilised incorrectly. But neither scenarios are his fault.
  6. Bolster the ****ing line up. Drop Vards. Drop Mavididi. Add Daka. Add a holding midfielder. Replace Sure with Buonnotte
  7. We can admit that Vardy isn't good enough you know..it's isn't sacrilege. Arsenal aren't still playing Thierry Henry. Man U don't still play Cole and Sheringham up front. Liverpool don't still play Robbie Fowler. But all are still fondly remembered.
  8. Absolute wates of time as per. Midfield hi g out to dry again. Nobody (Vards) up front again, so we play with 10 men Ayew over Buonnotte again. Groundhog day
  9. 'morning Susan, Top here. Any ideas how we sack, and then replace, a senior member of staff? ....No? No, me neither, thanks anyway. See you Saturday'
  10. Exactly. Whelan and Rudkin (+ Andrew Neville and Kevin Davies) are absolutely embedded in the KP structure. The financial chicanery. The subservient sycophancy. The code of silence. They can't be replaced.
  11. Jesus H Why do we all bother? It's so mind bogglingly obvious that we need an extra body in midfield. Skipp. Hamza. Faes. And, I'd accommodate that by dropping Vards.
  12. Wilf a far bigger blow than ricky
  13. Didn't realise that they had gone out til this evening. I wasn't surprised. I can't ever remember them ever having a decent run in the cup....so, boring bastard that I am, I just checked wiki They haven't reached the quarter finals since 1997. 28 years FFS. Without a cup run. And they consider themselves as the same sort of club as us! And as someone else on here pointed.out not so long ago on another thread, many of them consider (without any irony) themselves bigger. 28 fcking years 😂😂
  14. Part of me just fancies us getting worse and worse and worse and plummet through the leagues....just to see where the straw really breaks the camel's back. In a way, makes no odds to me. I'll still be a fan whatever division we are in. I can see the comical side of Whelan/Rudkin conducting the fifth consecutive 'internal review' after a relegation and still being in post.
  15. Really disappointing for the lad. Tho I still lay the blame partly at the club for not assisting his welfare.. Soumare had similar issues. But has, eventually, come through it. Sometimes, as rough as it sounds, you might have to insist the player grins and bears it and knuckles down
  16. I actually like him and in a three, is a useful addition to us.....but a 25m fee was always a joke Another in the long long long list of rudkin overpayments; slimani, Silva, Perez, Ward etc etc ...
  17. It's not over because of our points situation, nuts over because We have regressed from last season. We aren't as good when we needed to be slightly (but not much) better than last season. Missing fro last season are: . 1.KDH was unavoidable due to the mess we'd got ourselves into 2. Fatawu, Wilf, Mads, Ricardo are all really bad luck (but you have to plan for always being two players short) Add to that two amateurish, ill thought through managerial appointments and further add signing three palace and Fulham reserve players. We just aren't good enough. We are on a par right now, with this 13 or so available players with Sheff Utd last season
  18. On what basis? He's barely managed a season in over 10 years of coaching He got the job as he was famous. It's that simple and Rudkin doesn't know how to appoint a manager unless an agent rings up
  19. He wasn't a starter in the relegation season. He wasn't a regular starter in the promotion season. And now, two years later,.older and slower he's leading the line in the PL
  20. I'm assuming he was being facetious Edit; what a shame if he goes. Months and months of detailed research to dig out a rough diamond that could serve us potentially for years , all flushed down the karsi in favour of Coady, a second rate has been championship player
  21. I ain't having that. Winks is absolutely leagues above Coady on just about every metric Coady's peak was around five years ago and even then, his game was no more complex than hitting 70 yard diagonals.
  22. I've banged on all season, the answer is to drop Vards. He doesn't press anyway, just cuts off passing lanes.. Play Bilal, bounotte and Stephy as a creative three and add an extra midfielder (Skipp, Hamza) to take the workload off Winks and Soumare and provide emergency cover for the beleaguered defence. As the game progresses, we could look to open up more and add Daka + Vards
  23. Who's the big lump? Vestergaard?. He's just about our best and most influential player mate.
  24. Coady, I'm afraid, is diabolical Fck knows why RVN keeps persevering as in this case, we have other - and better - options
