Things can change quick. Three weeks ago wolves had been hammered by Everton and lost to Ipswich. Now they think they're the dog's Two weeks ago Ipswich were bummed alive at home v Newcastle.

Man City post match thread - 0-2 loss

Partly agree. They were garbage. And had we a tiny bit of form and confidence, I think we'd have won. But we haven't.And didn't. -
Just as curiosity, I had a look at page 1 of this thread. Interesting stuff. The vast majority warned against this guy right from the off. I was interested if it's all hindsight talking. But,.nope. Many had this guy rumbled from day 1.

This board was literally pleading with the club not to play Ward after the Newcastle game. We knew, not suspected or feared, but knew he'd cost us the game. The financial damage his selection (for 27.5 games) has done is surely without precedent.
-
They were. Yet the flaps weren't configured for landing. And no manual deployment of the landing gear (doors were closed, so wasn't as if they had tried and the gear jammed) Extremely odd. A pilot youtuber I watched earlier had wondered aloud if there may have been a mix of hydraulic failure and work overload in the cockpit.
-
Dude, we see the game through the same eyes! I think you have said similar in the past. But yup, totally agree, as well as he's playing we haven't yet found his ceiling.

How comes every time I watch west ham they are being bummed alive, usually by 5 or 6 at home, yet they pick up 20 odd points?
-
Nah, I'm going with @leicsmac take over this. Putin craves respect and craves being a world statesman as leader of the largest country and the dominant influence in the old soviet states. As macabre as his Ukraine campaign is, he probably sees it much in the way the west viewed overseeing the deaths of hundreds of thousands in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I just don't buy this. I like the lad. Absolute 100%er and never goes hiding. Prepared to accept the ball under pressure, some nice cross field runs, niggles away at times at De Bruyne and Fidon, couple of decent overlaps today and a proper Fuchs style cruncher on front of the east stand midway through second half- 337 replies

Played well. Three grey crosses. Poor JJ is absolutely shot ATM. Hamza is quicker, is cockier and more tenacious

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Well, today were the very first green shoots I've seen. I've caned the bloke on this thread. Really don't fancy him. But we looked organised,.prepared and, at last, he picked more or less our best players for a change. Thought Daka should've come on 10 mins earlier though. -
Very very decent performance today.. I think he's still just playing a bit within himself though. I think there's more there to tease out of him. sometimes with his physique he can carry the ball 10-20, 30 yards and not just lay it off. Keep it up though Bouba.

Quite clearly the best player on the pitch today. He had vibes of both Madders and Youri at their best. The confidence was oozing. Really enjoyed watching him today. Was worth the effort to go. -
No landing gear. Pilot didn't radio a mayday for the fire crews to be ready and foam on runway. No flaps extended to slow plane down. But reverse thrust had been engaged. Lots of contradictory actions and inactions there.
-
Dunno. But with RvN and Ben Dawson involved, I wouldn't rule it out
-
Travesty he was dropped.

Noooo! Why Vestergaard? Coady (rightly) couldn't make the team ahead of him and Faes last season - not my opinion, but the decision of a manager last season who largely seems to know what he's doing.
-
Yup. Happy to cheer on a team that isn't good enough but to see Coady and BdcR and McAteer starting with far better players left on the bench means it's a pointless exercise.
-
Always been that way mate. Back in the 80s there was just me and one other classmate who were proper City and maybe only three others in the entire school year. By the time Brian Little got there and I was in my late teens, we were now play offs each year and I knew 25+ lads who were proper City.

Glory be!

I think it's changing. Derby, a suburb of Nottingham in all but name, have effectively become a lower league club (in terms of profile and overall brand) and the red scum have recognised that

Cracking game at Twickenham up til now
-
So much chatter about Skipp and Bouba and Hamza etc but so little about what, for me, is the most glaringly obvious. We need a three. Play Skipp and Bouba. Which allows both to play to near the max (whether you rate thier max is a other point..I do fwiw) ...and shores is up in the middle Jakub JJ or Hamza at RB VK Vesty and Okoli Winks,.Skipp, Bouba Buonnotte Mavididi, Daka ....We gotta carry some kinda threat up front and press hard.
-
Almost all of top 13 players make Ipswich's side (not that the manager plays many of our top 13 players, but that's another point)....but what's worse, they STILL look better on the eye and are more competitive in more games than we are.
