Not going to lie I would be terrified if we lined up against United like that ?

A bit of a dampener but hopefully you’ll all agree... Obviously England are potentially (definitely) heading towards an World cup final, whilst this is a incredible moment for the whole country, and understandably everyone is going to be elated, there have been a number of horrifying videos circulating of England fans preventing emergency services vehicles from progressing to their destination. Liverpool, West mids, London and various other cities have all had issues with this.. I’ve even heard that a police car had its boot opened and contents removed whilst travelling to an emergency, and a first responder vehicle being jumped on and now deemed not road worthy (granted this was stationary but still). I don’t think for a second that this would happen in our city, but the chances are there are going to be thousands on the streets over the coming weeks, so if we are and if the situation was to arise please, please don’t be caught doing what some of these idiots have been doing, it does not make you a better “fan”. Stay classy Leicester.

He’s pretty tall isn’t he too? Maybe this is something they’re looking at to potentially have a more flexible back line? So they can easily switch to different formations?
-
Would piss if we got Roberts and Mahrez stayed....
-
He is also 21 years old. I wouldn’t expect anyone at such a tender age to be a master at their trade. Given time and the correct coaching he will develop into a decent player.

Wouldn’t accept anything. Irreplaceable at the moment, so the vultures along with Sweden can **** off.
-
We would be foolish to disregard Chillwell so easily, he does have flaws to his game, but ones I think are easily ameliorated.

England have far too much for them. Semi’s It is. -
That Harry Maguire is decent!

This, and a bit bizarre considering Mahrez isn’t that proficient on his right foot?

Colombia v England - last 16 round - 03/07 at 19:00ko

This, Colombia played into England’s hands with their shenanigans and mood for bellicose jingoism...... the game was ruined, however, England as a whole negotiated it relatively well. -
I think we will move away from the conventional back four.

He’s very decent. GERRIMIIIIIIINNNNN

Got to fancy Spain, Russia have looked impressive until their last game where they didn’t seem to click. But now the stakes are higher they might be able to find their feet again. Spain are their usual mesmerising selves, if you set up to defend you’ll inevitably lose... is it a France Spain final? I think that’s possibly how it’s looking. -
Uruguay v Portugal round of 16 match thread
La-li-lu-le-lo replied to Bob Weasel Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Uruguay could be a tough nut to crack... arguably the best defence in the World Cup, and a world class attack, with a capable midfield filling.... I’d fancy them as underdogs from here on in, they are extremely hard to beat when they take the lead, even Ronaldo was left clueless at times.... very impressed, very diffferent performance to France, but equally as impressive. -

Comfortable Columbia win, England are a lot worse than most of you think... Columbia’s game plan will be simple target the full backs get an early one into Falcao and then sit back, Sanchez will know all about Kane so there’s an advantage there for Columbia. The back three is shakey at best and put a decent attack in front of them and they will crumble. Plus Southgate is a womble so I can’t see any masterstokes being performed. 3-1 Columbia for me.. and tata England. -

I was impressed with Silva again... in a team with good movement he is the one who keeps the ball rolling. We need to try and utilise this next season! And I was impressed with Ricardo too, he had a cagey start but as he game went on he looked decent! -
Marvin is a good steady player, I’d say a younger Fuchs. Kroos has caused a lot of problems in this recent campaign, there’s a click developing around him which has caused fractions in the German camp. I wouldn’t take notice of what he says, he’s a bit of a bad apple at times. I’d be more than happy to see Marvin here, but I would also like to see Chillwell given more time... as long as he can improve the areas of his game that are lacking, he will develop into a decent player.

The back three are isolated far too easily and even a full strength England side would struggle against a more capable side. The amount of space left in the wide areas at times was startling, and the game plan will be simple for Columbia, target the wing backs..... England are too slow in possession for me, there seems to be a reluctance to push forward sometimes... a couple of decent results and the media have heaped the pressure on to them, some of the chat I’ve heard over the recent days has been comical, without trying to sound too negative Tunisia and Panama really didn’t present any real challenge.... today was two “B” teams, but England’s shape was the same and manner of play also, I’d be concerned for the Columbia game, they’re not as laboured as their performances suggest.

Mohamed Elyounoussi - Gone to Southampton.
La-li-lu-le-lo replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Transfer Talk
I think we’re focusing on other targets. We have a habit of going back in for long term linked players, I have a feeling that we will push for Thorgan Hazard. -
€18 isn’t much at all, plus you’ll get probably three decent years out of him, depending on what the plan is in regards to his role in the team it wouldn’t be a particularly bad move at all.

Korea Republic v Germany match thread
La-li-lu-le-lo replied to Bob Weasel Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
As a German fan it’s a bitter pill to swallow but we deserve it... been poor ever since we qualified for the World Cup....so time for the guys to fly home and think long and hard about what a shambles this has been! Now time to enjoy the world cup as a neutral haha!
