Can recommend the dolphin watching trip, I saw some early Feb last year when I did it. Day trip to Sintra to Pena Palace. Benfica stadium tour was awesome, museum there is crazy! Plenty of sights to see, easy to get around on the metro as well.

There does seem a certain irony to the number of people calling the team out for a weak mentality and lose their minds when we lose a game or two! I get we’ve conceded late goals, I get the mentality was abysmal last season, and there are still elements defensively that aren’t convincing. However this team has shown resilience this season. The last time we lost back to back games (to the same opponents), we won 8 of the next 10. This team has led this league for the majority of the season, and in the most part, has dealt with the pressure of being top for the majority of the season. It doesn’t matter that we wouldn’t be top on the last 20 games, the only relevant fact is that after 34 of 34, we are six points clear at the top whilst being ‘mentally weak’. When game 46 comes round, we will be where we deserve to be over the season, not over a selected part of it. We are by no means the finished article, but at the level we are at, we are by far one of if not the best side. The players need our support after the last couple of games, let’s get them to the finish line.

I mean objectively neither come close to being the worst ever to wear the shirt, but hey ho!!

Gutted with that at the end. Thought we were excellent for 75mins, but far too wasteful. Extremely disappointing that Daka turned out to be onside. How the linesman doesn’t notice that I will never know, but we only have ourselves to blame. Wrong subs for me, I’d have gone for experience and reliability of Albrighton for Fatawu, who wasn’t in the game all night. We have to stop conceding these late goals, it’s really costing us at the moment. I still think we’ll have enough in the tank to go up, but we need serious investment if we want to have a shot at staying there.

Just got home from 6 days in Albania - absolutely loved it. Been wanting to go since we came close to getting to the final a couple of years ago. So many photos, will post a few now. Made it to Ohrid in Macedonia and Prizren and Prishtina in Kosovo on some tours:

Albania. Coastal resorts are stunning. Really cheap by European standards and some stunning scenery across the country. Not made it to the coast unfortunately, I’m staying in Tirana this week until Thursday. Been to Macedonia as well and doing a day trip to Kosovo tomorrow. Ryanair are starting flights to Tirana from Birmingham imminently as well.

Comfortable, could have been six or seven without playing particularly well. Probably says more about the quality of the opposition. I can see why he’d like to bring in someone like Sensi. Some of the runs KDH and Daka were making, only for the ball to go backwards. Still feels very much a work in progress, but if/when we do go on to be promoted, serious work will be needed in the summer. Another 3 points closer to where we want to be.

Went for it and booked Tirana. Going next Saturday for 5 nights. Planning on going up to Gamti, Ohrid for the day, visiting Berat and Shkoder/Skadar. Flying from Manchester. Return flight with cabin bags £75

I thought we made them look very ordinary to be honest. First half we were excellent, aggressive, didn’t give them time to breathe, and didn’t give them chance to get into any rhythm. They were always going to come out second half and have a go, but other than the first 5/10 minutes, I thought we got control back and had a few chances to add to the lead. We were tiring towards the last fifteen minutes and I’d have made the subs earlier. Their goal could have happened regardless, but fresh legs get out to Luongo for me and close the shot down. I thought we deserved to win but fair play to Ipswich for hanging in there. Ndidi is a massive miss, his physical presence in this league is such an asset. We really need another body in this window as we are looking light in the middle. The late subs and the trend of conceding late goals is undeniably linked, and we need to start changing it sooner, however I can appreciate we are a bit thin on the ground at the moment.

Any tips on Tirana and Albania as a whole. Flights are cheap and been keen to go ever since we had the European tour a couple of years ago.

Lovely few days in Malta and Gozo this week, weather was sunshine and cloud, up to 17C. Did trips to Mdina, Mosta dome, and Gozo. Stayed in Valletta

Managed to go twice in recent seasons in the all STH bracket, but both have been Sundays. Never know, but I’d imagine less chance with it being a 3pm Saturday kick off

Millwall certainly weren’t afraid to try and have a go. Watmore was a tricky customer first half. However it left them open to counters and we exploited it ruthlessly. Two well worked goals first half. Best I’ve seen Casadei and Yunes play for us. The former needs some work on weight of pass at times, but he seems to be making some progress - not before time with Wilf out long term. Cannon looks like an excellent all round striker, fits perfectly into Enzo’s system. We’ll be spoilt for choice once Daka is back from AFCON. Set piece slackness has crept back in recently, something that needs knocking on the head asap. Overall a good cup tie and pleased to come away with the win and some rested legs.

If we can bring Gronbaek in, let him go. Never really worked out for him here. Familiar with Serie A, been with them before & big wages off the books.
