Baffled how he got any minutes last season, looked lost at championship level, and poor at Wigan in L1. Good luck to him, but was nowhere near the level - and our level has dropped considerably in recent years!!

First reaction is I’ll take it at this level. We need bodies in the forward line. I don’t expect him to be the main option, I’d hope we are bringing in another couple of forwards 🙏🤞🏻. Can see where others are coming from, but I don’t think it’s realistic to expect Evans or Hutchinson to be starting every week and putting up numbers that will push us in a position to challenge either. This summer feels a very much wait and see. Until the Monga deal goes through and we move others out if we can, I don’t think we’ll see any massive movement inwards.

Can’t use McAteer as a yard stick. At the peak of his potential, 8-10 games as a goal scorer in the championship pre injury. We had Ipswich with selling him for £12-14m! You aren’t going to get that for a 16yr old with a handful of first team appearances with a goal and couple of assists. If it’s £10m with a sell on, I think we’ve done well. Maybe would’ve got more as a top flight side ourselves, but that ship long sailed! Even if we were still a mid ranking prem side, these sorts of moves would still happen. We may have smashed the glass ceiling ten years ago, but we didn’t disrupt the food chain

I went the week before October half term a couple of years ago, and I think it’s still my favourite country so far. Perfect balance of chill and lots of exploring the country. Stayed in a room in Kotor with an overlooking the bay for virtually £200 each for 7 nights. Will still be a fair few tourists about, but not as busy as the peak summer months. Montenegro is growing in popularity however. Visited Lovcen, Durmitor black lake, Ostrog Monastery and Tara Canyon. Plenty of boat trips available for the bay of Kotor, and must go to Perast. From memory it was warm enough some days without being roasting hot, with a couple of overcast days. Balkans in the autumn can be stunning. My favourite part of the world so far.

May be true in some respects, but I think in this case the evidence in front of everyone’s eyes is enough to draw the same conclusion. We’ve had a catalogue of bad defenders in recent times, but for me he’s top of the pile. If someone is daft enough to come in for him, just get him gone asap.

I suppose they’ll see this as a coup, and delude themselves that we can still attract a ‘quality’ manager. In reality, nobody else with any sense would go for him. That just sums up the decision making at the highest level. If we get promoted, then he’s met the minimum expectations. Anything less than that, and both the club and his reputation are in tatters. It’s a hell of a gamble to take, let’s just hope the former happens

16 years old, surrounded by the worst set of ‘professionals’ in our history and turmoil behind the scenes, but he’s not good enough?! He’s not Messi or Yamal obviously, but cut the kid some slack. Even if he does want to move on, can you honestly blame him with the state of this club. He’s looked lost and burdened by the situation we’ve found ourselves in I must admit, but his time will come.
