Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official
ceebeefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Well he does have Stones like qualities. -
Twice, don’t forget Sunday.
-
Spot on. I remember the Boxing Day fiasco, I looked at the team sheet and thought, this is Steve Bruce’s team more or less , these ain’t beating us. Two nil down in no time against a team who ran the legs off us, as did championship Forest in the cup.

Brighton A 2-2 Post Match Thread

Imagine if the premier does become a closed shop due to promoted teams not being good enough. Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, still in the top league!!!!!!! Geordies singing say hello to Sunderland, we should have sang say hello to three quarters of the league if size of club matters. -
I agree, we were linked with Sean Longstaff a while back, and, though many on here would’ve turned their noses up would’ve been a great signing even in this league.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
ceebeefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Everyone keeps using the term “manager”, the last manager we had was Pearson. The club seems to prefer a head coach, recruitment throwing players at them and saying, here coach him. None of them manage these days and the game is worse for it. -
Whilst I think Dyche would be a great Pearson like appointment I fear that due to not losing anyone in the summer it could be that Martin would replicate last season ( yawn) with Enzo’s system. Back to square one on promotion though?

Pick on the winger. If you don’t feed them they look lazy.

How much did Chelsea ruin us this season?
ceebeefox replied to An Away Move's topic in Leicester City Forum
Damaged but not ruined by taking KDH, yes, Enzo, no. -

Couldn’t believe we loaned Nelson out having watched him last season on his rare appearances he looked class and a world apart from Faes etc. What were we waiting for he’s big enough and good enough on the ball, only playing top level will make him better ! -
Yes, first touch let him down a couple of times unusually but if you’re playing 352 or 343 where’s his partner/s? What was Daka doing ? Where was he supposed to be?
-
What can he do in this system. 50 yards away from nearest blue shirt! Still good for 15-20 in a good attacking side. Feel sorry for him.
-
Yes, but like us in the title season stats mean rock all.
-
We used to score goals like that, pace kills and we have none, roll on Fatawu’s return and let’s find two more who can run in the summer.
-
Akgun would’ve improved us this year. Should’ve signed him instead of the very unimpressive BDR.
-
That’s why he couldn’t trap a bag of cement!
-
Like Les Ferdinand who joined us in his late 30’s he’s still quick………but he used to be lightening and could catch pigeons!
-
If it happens I’m shaving my head and changing religion, ‘cos those monks must’ve been doing some serious prayer!

I only watch blue and white, if I want to see the so called super stars of the premier I’ll do it on tv. I do want to watch City win more than they lose in a league that they can compete in, and it ain’t this one. I’ll look forward to watching us against WBA, Sunderland et al, (proper clubs) next season, maybe Wrexham too? The gap is so massive and it’s sad that the likes of Bournemouth , Brentford and Brighton have now pulled up the ladder on HMS premier, 18 teams in the Championship are capable of being bigger, are bigger but won’t have a chance now thanks to PSR and money. The sooner the tv money goes pop and the so called big boys go to a super league the better.

It’s still fresh and new for Florist at the minute, comparable (almost) with our title season after the great escape. Every home game was the equal of their home games at least. Remember the Richter scale equaliser? We have nothing to get us off our seats at the minute and football has been sterilised by Puel, Rodgers and Maresca even during success, the atmosphere at 4th place Chelsea a case in point.

Chelsea 1-0 LCFC, post match thread
ceebeefox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
It was a start, but VK and JJ as wing backs? Come on, neither of them got past the halfway line. The last time we played 3-5-2 well was under MON, he didn’t have grafting fullbacks as wing backs he had Guppy and Impey, both out and out wide men! Neither as I recall got their shorts dirty, they tucked in now and then but their starting position was the halfway line, leaving Taggert Elliott and Walsh to deal with defensive matters. And guess what, we fizzed the ball into the box from both sides creating chances that Vardy can only dream about at the minute. The problem is modern coaches are too worried about losing to actually try and win! -
We don’t create chances, end of.
