Absolutely loved it. All the pre match music should have blue in the title or song, there’s loads of them. I remember them doing it for a short while at Filbert St, 90’s ?
-
Sell Soyuncu, and bring back McGuire. Though he probably wouldn’t return. His problems at United wouldn’t occur here with our midfield even as it is, United don’t have one in front of him!
-
How can anyone be a Daka fan yet? He’s not done much to date, yes he looks a livewire in the box and can finish if given a chance, but very poor back to goal currently. Reminds me of Mark Bright when we had him briefly at the start of his career, the plus point being Bright went on to be a top player with Palace, and given time Daka can do the same.
-
Totally agreed. Daka can’t play on his own at the minute, Kelechi can and did more on Thursday in his cameo than Daka did all match! But I’d play them both.
-
If you’re only playing one ( and I’d play them both) it has to be Kelechi on his own. Much more skill and vision back to goal. Actually picks people out , that chipped ball that Lookman should’ve buried. What has he done wrong?
-
And leaves 2 up on opposition corners!!!
-
They may help out in midfield but don’t see them covering full backs which is why Barnes was dragged, but I guess 4231 system is shown up a bit defensively if the three behind the front man are expected to create and get back 70 yards to tuck in.
-
Totally agree, he shouldn’t have to defend, but sadly unlike Mahrez , Harvey doesn’t have the magnificent defensive qualities of Simmo behind him, or Fuchs on the other side. The proudest point for me on the title win was we beat the tippy tappy premier with a 442 , round pegs in round holes. Still a great system but we couldn’t play that now. Don’t see Mane or Salah doing much defensively for the scousers either? And we’re supposed to be 433 at times.

I remember the bad old days and for that matter the 70’s too, and with the owners we have relegation should never be an issue. But mid table finish and a couple of cup runs is a minimum, with the added spice of upsetting the big boys every now and then. However the current brand of football is a hard watch and I am concerned that it’s not just the big boys who’ve worked us out. When we’re this weak and timid defensively I start to get a little hysterical myself. But I do remember where we’ve come from too. Villa beat us yesterday by 2 scruffy goals. When did we last score a scruffy goal? I long for the day one goes in off Amarty’s arse or something!

Better than at the back! He’s very deceptive though....... he’s slower than he looks!!!!!
-
As a fan since the 60’s I have no “delusions of grandeur” and a mid table finish and 2 good cup runs respecting the competitions is all I ask for. And,until these wonderful owners got us up it was a hopeful wish not a demand. We may have to be happy once in a while being mediocre, whilst every now and then upsetting the apple cart like the United game. But I wish we’d mix our game up a bit at times. O’Neill would’ve stuck Vannestegard up front for the last 15 and launched it, and what’s wrong with that?

Can somebody tell me what Saka did after the first 10 minutes, apart from stopping Luke getting forward? He held his own against an England international albeit a lucky one . (You used to have 3 or 4 consistent seasons to be an England player not 3 or 4 games!) The lad held his own and is the best we’ve got currently in that position.

Can anyone tell me why a succession of City managers refuse to leave 1,2, or guess what even 3 up for a defended corner? It would take players out the box and hopefully put an end to this zonal marking rubbish. Madison does nothing at a corner, Vardy does but needn’t be the near post man, Barnes or Lookman too contribute nowt defensively just block up the box?

There’s been so many as we haven’t bought the finished article in the past. But for me it’s Gary Lineker, he came into the side as a skinny winger with a bit of pace but no trick, then after a summer of training and eating I don’t know what came back a lightning quick frontman with strength and hold up play at times too, and goals galore. Our hero at the time Jim Melrose became a forgotten man sadly.
-
Wow what a balanced line up! Can you play 2 up front? Who knew? Maybe with a partner Jamie will be more of a threat and Kelechi may start to feel at home and repay his fee a bit? There is a player in there.

If he drops Vardy I'm done with him and his pitiful system.

Who are these 30 people and why?

Is N'Golo Kanté a Leicester City legend?
ceebeefox replied to MisterFoxKillen's topic in Leicester City Forum
He goes down as a legend to me as, contrary to what the media troll out ( and some of our fans) about us being worked out, if he'd have stayed we'd have come close to winning it again. That's how perfect we were, all replacements including Ndidi haven't come close. He didn't just win it and give it ( like Ndidi) , he scampered forwards for 25 yards quickly then gave it to Mahrez or Albrighton where they're dangerous, in the last third. Our wingers now receive it too far back too often if at all these days. -
We were shocking at Brighton, in fact it made me try to think of the last game when we won undeservedly playing poorly, it doesn't usually happen to us ,but I guess some would say that's a plus.
-
It's not winning or losing, it's our style of play. 67% possession sounds great but Wes Harry and Kasper had 60% of it, just like Svens last season. I was more excited and up for it during the poor run in the great escape season. I watch them whatever league we're in but just want to be excited, with no relegation threat we should be going at teams with no fear but instead play at home with Vardy 30 yards from his teammates!
-
Out. Put yourself in the dressing room listening to him! Would he stir you up?,excite you?, could you even understand what he wants from you? We are playing like it's a no to all those points. We have had 6 or 7 seasons of exciting football ( ignoring the title season I don't expect that ) win or lose we got at teams got shots away made us get off our seats, it's gone and we are boring Jamie Vardy out of the club if we're not careful ( and in this system he shouldn't be centre forward ). How would Klopp play us? an energetic 433 for a start and we could be that. It's a simple game GET MEN IN THE BOX.
-
Is it not possible to sack him for someone who's better irrespective?Dyche is a City type manager or if you must go down the foreign route Marco Silva is available. With this 4231 system much as I loathe it you need the front 4 to press the ball and stop the opposing defence getting out, ours do not do it. They’re either being lazy or playing to orders and I’m guessing it’s the latter.
-
They were right about Puel but unfortunately for them they replaced him with another foreign manager with similar tactics. Some clubs suit styles and managers I think us for example suit 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 ( the key here Claud is the 2!!!!!!!). Also Nigel suited City, Dyche would suit City, shot me down but Pullis would suit City it's what we are working class support who like to see headed goals tackles and fast attacking football. Puel will in my opinion be gone sooner rather than later, so long as the owners don't duplicate the mistake ala Saints we will move on again.
-
Sorry but anyone who selects a shite 4-2-3-1 system( that incidentally we regularly ran all over in our title year) thus isolating the best striker in the country needs sacking. I am no big time Charlie since title win type of fan but I want to get off my seat to fast attacking play that we have been used to for 6 seasons or so. Mid table and cup runs suit me so long as we have a real go all game not just in the last ten minutes. This manager does not fit us I'm afraid. Seems too early to say that I know but in the position we are in why the hell are we picking this negative system? Why 2 defensive midfielders? If you want to play this foreign tippy tappey stuff go like Man City and play Ndidi in the Fernandinio role and pack the side with positive forward looking players and let off the handbrake for gods sake, what are we afraid of?
-
Never mind strong side it needs to be the team that drew at Chelsea and beat Watford. It's one game a week till the end of the season what's the problem? Play a weak side like we did at Fleetwood and it becomes two games if we're lucky enough to draw.
