Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Exactly. It benefits us if the clause runs out, because we can piss about then slowing the process down. -

Of his clause is between £25/30m of the kings, and he genuinely has a week of his clause, why would you pay that for him, when you could chance your arm at a low ball wouldn’t you? If you’re a buying club you’d rather wait I think and chuck in a cheeky low offer. You wouldn’t pay that clause unless you were really desperate, we know how good he is, but his stats for last season probably won’t be enough to tempt a clause activation in my opinion. -
100% it’s well worth them starting this now, Leicester is gagging for something like this, and. It’s free revenue so to speak, it’s never going to struggle is it? We’re essentially a three university county, meaning to have huge inflations on population throughout the year. and this would all help with a venue like this.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

I don’t think it’s as black and white as that. Reducing the wage bill was the biggest priority and we’ve done that. -

I think the plan is to retain the key players, and then look again in January. -

You’re not wrong, But image the amount of money a closed shop SL would generate? With all the world’s best teams and players in one place? No limitations on sponsors, wages, finances etc…. Would be interesting to see what would happen if the carrot is dangled…. I think it would run given the chance. -

I wouldn’t be so sure, I think they would be willing to go and join a closed shop SL. I think the initial idea was to test the waters and see who would agree to participate. Money talks, and with the emergence of things like Liv, you can see the super rich funding a closed shop mega league for the biggest clubs in the world. Nationally I think there would be an appetite for this, as the world is becoming more accustomed to how American sports is run, I believe that this is going to become the preferred method at some point. No promotions or relegations, mega money to be won and earned, not tied into traditional rules and regs, almost like a no holds barred approach to football. I think it will happen in our life time at some point, we will end up with domestic football and then a form of super league football, played all over the world. Domestic football would almost become amateur in comparison. -
It isn’t though is it? A team can be bottom, and put together a sequence of five unbeaten and end up on the cusp of the play offs. The championship is shit, most of the teams are about the same which is why everyone beats everyone. If the window shut today, and this was our squad, and we got a 6-9 point deduction I’d still be confident we would eventually mount a promotion push. But there’s no guarantee that we will get a deduction anyway, the EPL have screwed with this before, and an independent panel are now making the decision, and it’s clear for them to see we’re making considerable efforts to reduce the wage bill, so, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a minuscule one, or none at all.
-
When are people going to stop babbling on about this points deduction….. it’s likely to be 6 to 9 points at most if anything, which is nothing… with no stand out teams (Bar probably us on paper) most teams will drop more than that anyway this season. And secondly stadia infrastructure is not included within the PRS losses, so if we spent on the expansion we would be fine, and the extra finances it generates would count to PSR.

No one coming in. And I think we will try and hold onto all of our key players and see where we are in January. I think the only player who may go is Bilal, but I don’t think anyone will trigger his clause, I think we will likely wait until that’s passed and try and low ball us. So, my predictions are no more hey players out, no one in, which I won’t be unhappy with. If we lose any more key players, then I’ll be resigned to the fact this season is written off.
-
Did you realise (we’re not American) that we didn’t sell Jamie Vardy…..
-
The writing is on the wall though. They’ve managed to **** up from a position that was fairly un****-able…… if you can go from being champions of England, win an FA cup, sell assets for nearly £600m and still end up in a financial mess and manage to get relegated twice, when clubs with inferior resources to your own thrive….. you can drive a club out of existence. If this board room doesn’t change, we will be Sheffield Wednesday, very soon.
-
Because collectively we showed support to them for protesting against their negligent board, and we can’t even do the same collectively against ours?
-
But we need to consider how this reflects on other players….. we’re in danger of creating a real toxic atmosphere…. Especially with a dressing room with players as young as we have at the moment.

This is something we need to drop in my opinion. Faes has always been a controversial character, mainly just down to his performances and attitude on the pitch. But should we be booing individual players? Faes has been frustrating, but do I agree with Booi’ng him as he comes on? No, o don’t really agree with this at all, perhaps for Dennis wise maybe. As some have mentioned, Winks and Soumare don’t get boo’d so why Faes? To be honest I don’t blame his reaction, isn’t unprofessional, yes, was it immature, yes, but he is a human and clearly a fairly expressive guy, as we’ve seen this kind of behaviour before but at a smaller level. As investors into the club and fans do we have a right to air our frustrations? Yes, but is is productive to the wider team to boo players as they come on? I’d say no…. The reason for this is we currently have a lot of young players coming through, experiencing this all for the first time…… can you imagine Monga for example, hearing all of those boo’s for a team mate, we’ve then got to consider how this behaviour impacts the other players….. perhaps someone like Monga may decide to stop being as expressive, because he may think “will they start booing me if I give the ball away”…… We’ve just got to be mindful about things like this, I’d much rather once that whistle goes, we get behind the team and the lads. We’ve got a new manager who clearly wants to be here, he’s loving every minute of it, and on day 1 he hears his own fans booing his players…. We will just be stuck in a never ending cycle of toxicity if we’re not careful, than we can damage a teams confidence as much as we can positively impact it. Our frustrations are with the board, if we can’t to heckle someone, it’s them, but let’s support the players, regardless of our opinions of them, because it might make a positive difference, and help the team leading to good performances and hopefully a good season. Im growing tired of the constant toxic undertone that’s hanging around, for at least 90 minutes can we all remember why we say in those seats, for the love of the shirt, back that, and we can still air frustrations at the board when necessary.
-
And yet the irony, as we clapped them as they took to their seats……. Madness isn’t it.

Im addicted now, the longer it goes with no pod, the more chance you’ll find me ferreting around bins, looking for old papa johns, and shouting obscenities at pigeons. -

Pliskin replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Because we all know, that we won’t replace them, we won’t spend a decent dime. As per usual, we’ve sold players late, and have two and a bit weeks to get potentially complicated deals done. It’s not happening. We’ve pissed about again all summer and will end up making ourselves weaker, made some good money and will have nothing to show for it, other than Rudders and Top performing naked bum slaps in the showers thinking it’s a job well done. -

This is where it all comes to a head……. Well and truly done, and I bet we won’t spend a penny of it either, because everyone will leave so late in the window we won’t have time to react. -
After allowing Sheffield Wednesday to protest, reckon they will allow us to protest against them again?
-
King power sponsor out the female team.

So sad….. the voice of my childhood…. RIP Brad

It won’t help us though will it? Because we will piss about for weeks with this, and then won’t give ourselves enough time to get a replacement and will end up signing Dean Sturridge on a free.
