  1. Whole heartedly agree. The time for Dyche has long gone.
  2. You have hit the nail on the head. Dyche is an unprogressive Luddite, and this isn’t a trait that is endearing for modern day football. His achievements largely came in a period where the Pep effect hadn’t progressed through the leagues, but it now has, and more refined football is swooping the nation. And how people can draw a correlation between us and Everton is just pointless, the situations are different. Everton have been clinging onto the arse hairs of the premier league like a dingleberry for four seasons, they’ve benefitted from having poor rivals, and the only team in that battle with an ounce of fight. That’s what Dyche is good at, he is basically a modern version of big Sam. He certainly is not the man to rebuild the football club, one that wants a progressive manager not one that will take the club back to the dark ages. What we need is an innovative young manager with a hunger and a desire to prove themselves and be brave enough to take risks on young players. We have has success this way through Brendan and Enzo (even though some seem to want to suggest Enzo wasn’t and then suggest Dyche)…… We need to revisit this, and make a careful considered decision and bring in a manager who fits this ideology.
  3. Thank god you don’t have any say in the running of the club….
  4. I’m not saying we will, if we get the summer wrong we could even go down. But suggesting we’re worse than Southampton is just plain stupid. We clearly aren’t are we?
  5. Southampton are ****ing shit, in every sense of the word…. Hence the 12 points. We’ve been bad this season, but we’ve not been that bad by any stretch of the imagination……. You’re just catastrophizing the situation… Southampton are in much worse shape than we are. We’ve made some major **** ups yes, but with a decent managerial appointment and a half decent summer I expect us to be in the race to win the league, that however, entirely depends on the decisions made at board level, not the state of the club.
  6. The same Southampton that we easily beat? And we’re shit….
  7. Nathaniel Adjei…. Big, fast, physical defender.
  8. I remember the Merc, referred to hom as a wonderkid at the time of his signing.
  9. Peter Canero.
  10. I don’t think anyone, anywhere, at any point suggested any of those were the next coming of Messi 😂
  11. These are things footballers need to consider when joining a club. He was here before his baby was born, and if his wife wanted be closer to her home town post birth he should have requested a move away. I don’t want players living in London and playing here, he has also been completely disrespectful and lacked major class with the Enzo sign, as did anyone who was involved…. Winks can go, he’s not that good anyway and his attitude stinks.
  12. I’d take Puel over Dyche. Puel can actually put a side together. His ceiling is just not very high.
  13. I would say let’s refuse to comply with the clubs effort…. But fat chance of anyone doing that.
  14. Mate, you said he’s a promoter of youth and adopted a model of selling home grown assets…. Which is clearly bollocks. Even confirmed by a Burnley fan.
  15. I still can’t believe some are actually trying to argue that this would be a good move….. staggering.
  16. He’s Alan Rodgers bad. He’s one of the worst full backs I’ve ever seen. He literally can’t do anything besides run up and down the wing, and look angry. He can’t pass, he can’t defend…… he can’t play football. And I think it’s safe to safe if he can play in Italian first division….. how shit must that be?
  17. Isn’t he a personal friend of Rudkin?
  18. Maresca had his flaws, but he did what he was told to do, Top was the one who said to him “I want us to play like Man City”…. So who’s really the one to question? What was beneficial was Enzo’s personality, people go on about having a manager who took no shit, well he didn’t, he was quite clear what he wanted and what his expectations were, and said multiple times he would clear off if people weren’t buying into it. Dyche isn’t the only man in football who would set good principles, Ruud arguably does, he’s punished Winks for selfish behaviour, but many on here don’t want Ruud to stay. I get the idea of trying to build a stable base, but Dyche really isn’t the man to do this, he would build a team capable of a scrap, but it won’t score many goals, and won’t be good to watch. What’s the point in appointing him, to go straight up, to then have to reset the whole project again when he eventually falls on his sword. He’s a vastly limited manager, I’m not saying he’s a poor manager, he just isn’t a good fit for us. The fans would soon grow tired of his boring football, and they would soon get fed up of his constant winging. I’d much rather we give a Danny Rolh, or Miron Muslic a go, and a chance to build…. Even if it means a season or two in the championship to properly rebuild, not a Dyche fix up, which will eventually fall apart in a few years anyway.
  19. Spot on!
  20. Well, it doesn’t matter if you care or not, the club wants a specific style, so that’s what they will look to achieve. Has he? I stand to be corrected by @dsr-burnley but I have never known Dyche to be a promoter of youth to the extent we have been? Nor do I recall Burnley having a model of selling home grown assets to then sell on…. He did, but he had a squad that suited him, they were scrappers and that where Dyche thrives…. But there’s no long term future with him, what we need is someone with a long term vision, Dyche would change everything about the club, in terms of playing style, and then once his time eventually runs out, we would need another overhaul and restart. It’s more concerning that Dyche’s track record doesn’t seem to extent beyond being a “fixer upper”. I’m of the opinion we don’t need that, what we need is someone with the capability of presenting a long term plan. Inexperience doesn’t mean you can’t do the job, and neither does experience…. Anyone who suggests Maresca didn’t prove anything is just being facetious, he was exactly what we needed, yes he was stubborn and that probably held us back, but he would have learnt as he has done this season with Chelsea. But he came in and basically said, “I run the show, it’s my way or the highway”…. He proved that you can get things moving in the right direction again fairly quickly. If Dyche was to come here I’d give him a chance, but I’m extremely dubious about him, and concerned about what his forward planning would be…. I don’t agree he is a man who can rebuild the squad, he is capable of building a solid team, but I’m still not convinced he would be the man to lead the club into the future….. but I’d be happily proved wrong.
  21. The biggest issue with Dyche is, he is so far removed from what the club wants in terms of style. He will also disregard the youth…. The likes of Monga and Evans won’t get a sniff under Dyche, he likes experienced players and that’s proven in the teams he has managed. Everton this season are a massive red flag, they were absolutely hideous under him, and Moyes has completely turned things around with the same team….. Dyche will harm the forward progression of the club, whereas we are very much regressing at the moment, Maresca proved that it doesn’t take much to get us back on the right path again. We need to be looking at young managers, progressive, forward thinking and willing to work with young players. This idea Dyche will rebuild the club needs to be dropped IMO. I don’t think there’s any evidence to suggest he is the right man, just that he moans a lot and looks like a temu version of Stone Cold.
  22. I think you’re overestimating the championship here though…… We can still raise decent amounts of cash… Mads and Bilal will go, between them it’s probably a shade under £50m for the pair, and the fringe players…. including the likes of Faes, Vesty, Justin, Hamza, Winks, Soumare, Ndidi… we can probably raise between £50m to £60m in funds….. the likes of Hamza will class as pure prophet, which is why we need to get him gone. Yes the situation this time around is different, but let’s not get carried away, the championship is bollocks, if we invest wisely, which we largely did the last time we were in the championship, of which some of those players will still be here…. We can still create a team good enough to piss the league.
  23. He was commuting from London, Ruud asked him to stay over occasionally, as he didn’t feel travelling benefitted him…. Winks refused, so Ruud dropped him.
  24. He hasn’t, Ruud has dropped him because he’s a twat.
  25. Yea, Winks will have plenty of people interested in him. He won’t be hard to shift.
