The wheels are going to come flying off this wagon, we’ve got the best squad in the league and we’re playing like this? This performance is unacceptable…. It’s possibly the worst result we’ve had in a long, long time. Pathetic, something has to change, otherwise this club is heading for a black hole….

This team worries me. We’re like one of those pencils that your dad used to sharpen with a Stanley knife, looks sharp, but it’s brittle and largely ineffective. Theres some thinking that needs to be done here, because this is far from good at the moment.

Pretty dreadful stuff this, our performances are regressing, we’re lacking composure, intensity and creativity. We’re winning this game because of our quality. If this continues, we could have issues.

Agreed, teams like Wednesday, with all due respect to them, we should be able to tinker a bit with the system. I’d like to see Praet given a run again in that role, or even Yunus because he looks fairly tidy on the ball and his movement is pretty good too. It’s tough at the moment as Enzo is getting some players to play out of their comfort zones, which is always going to lead to occasions of miscommunication. I’d like to see Wilf in the inverted full back role too, I think it’s a role he would be perfect in, and it would be a good chance to give it a go against Wednesday?

I thought McAterr was really good yesterday. He was making some dangerous runs across the Watford backline, we just weren’t finding the pass. The issue will continue to be players in those two advanced midfield roles….. something I’d like to see Praet and Yunus operate it when fully up to speed.

I was getting pretty pissed off with the moaning and groaning yesterday….. And the calls to “get it forward”…. Did they not see what happened when we did? I actually thought we were a bit more direct yesterday, there were more diagonal balls being played into Mavididi. There are even one or two who are suggesting Enzo isn’t the right choice near me. He’s done a bloody marvellous job so far, he’s managing to coach the likes of N’didi into new roles, and Ricardo. The quality of the squad should see us promoted, but it probably won’t be record breaking like many think, and hope. Enzo needs time, he needs backing to make this transition work…. Too often managers aren’t given the time and get sacked before they’ve had a chance to implement their style. We are seeing and implementation of this style, like some have said we’re just one or two players short of it being a hand in glove situation.

First half was a slog. My opinion is we still haven’t quite got those high 8’s right. I thought KDH was excellent today to be fair, but for as good as Wilf has been, he just isn’t an attacking player in the sense of his movement off the ball. There were periods where Mads comes out and he’s looking to punch a pass into those advancing midfielders, and because there’s no interchangeable movement happening he has no options. Kalechi, was dropping deep but standing still, which causes congestions and limits the space for those players to run into. This causes the play to become slow and laboured and means we have to rely on the width and that makes it easy for the opponent to defend, because Kalechi isn’t moving they can just surround either Mavs or McAteer to slow us down. Second half we were more aggressive coming forward, KDH was having a superb game and Mavididi came to life also. Bringing Vardy and Fatawu on stretched the game a bit more and we were able to create more chances. Fabulous header from Vesty for Vardy’s goal…. Keep banging the drum, but we’ve got to look at these two AM, we’ve got a bag of shit to play midweek, let’s try Praet with KDH, and N’didi in that inverted fullback role and see how we get on.

Got a horrible feeling this will be another agonising 0-1 defeat. Watford score early and we fail to take any chances, again.

They will be out of the bottom three fairly quickly. Give it a few weeks and they won’t be far off mid table. Media are making a big meal out of it, but I think the PL have been really kind….. they’ve deducted points now, rather than towards the end of the season, and it’s ten? Ten points? In a league as poor as this one it won’t do anything to prevent Everton going down…. They will still be comfortably safe.

I think that’s very lenient. Ten points won’t send them down, which ultimately is what they deserve. I’d say they’ve gotten away lightly with it….. contrary to what slobber chops Carragher thinks.
