Fairly meaningless comparison all things told. We have so much of the ball that recoveries are likely to be far less frequent.

This ref is great...
-
Flat ball? More like flat team.

Doyle has had a good game. Fatawu has been decent as a more defensive winger than normal. Worst I've seen Winks, and KDH and Mavididi continue their bad form. The ref has been diabolical, laughably bad.

Was that a save by Mads or a massive, massive slice of luck?

This aged well.

Oh good, we're doing the whole 'let's see how many gilt-edge chances we can miss this game'.

Think we need some sort of perspective here. We’ve lost 3 in a row, that’s concerning. However, the last 6 shots on target against us have all gone in. Middlesbrough had 2 on target, 2 goals. We lose that 1-2. Leeds have 3 on target, 3 goals. We lose that 3-1. QPR have 2 on target, 2 goals. We lose that 1-2. We’ve had games where we’ve been lucky earlier in the season but we don’t seem to be getting the run of the green at the moment. Deflected goals against our rivals seem to be the norm. We’ve lost key players at crucial times. We also have a number of players who have woeful consistency. Yet, despite that we’re still top. Some on here go on like we’re 15 points outside the playoffs. We may still blow it but the stats suggest we’ll come good.

The priority signing for next season is getting a leader on the pitch. We're too nice and fairly insipid at times. We're looking sluggish today, most of them have been off it.

Were we trying to play football?

That is diabolical defending. Really, really poor.

Quite Poor Really.

You little beauty! Let’s hope that gets his confidence back up and we see him back to his best. -
This comes across as the Luddite ‘lump it forward’ which the slavering septuagenarian spouts out at 75 minutes before leaving the ground early. We’re still 6 points clear and our immediate rivals have fluked results against us recently.

This may come as a huge surprise but even Messi misses chances too. Doesn’t mean he’s equally as bad. Pointing to a Vardy miss to justify a Daka miss is a strawman barely worth addressing. Daka misses too many chances. He can run fast but so can Forrest Gump. Quoting goals and assists in a secondary league, as some do, doesn’t cut any mustard for me. I’m not catastrophising, fairly certain we’re still going up but i I wouldn’t trust Daka as a frontline striker. -
We aren’t taking our easier chances, the opposition are. We’re fine, we’ll get promoted. Simple as that.

I’m bored to death of people thinking Daka is an elite striker. Even in the Championship he’s not been elite. Yes, he can slot away a penalty. He’s quick. He makes good movement. But he also misses decent chances. I trust Vardy to take chances. I wouldn’t trust Iheanacho or Daka. YMMV. -
The best thing I can say about Hamza is that he does graft and is tenacious, often due to his own mistakes. If his first touch is bad, his second touch will often be a war crime.
-
I’d rather have Jerry Maguire than Harry Maguire. And even at 5 feet 7 inches, he’d probably be better in the air than Vestergaard.

If they re-introduced football specials you’d hope they’d be scheduled for after the game not catering for the zombie nation who scarper at 80 minutes. -

What was the XG on that game? Diabolical finishing from us, excellent counter attacking play by them. Bad day at the office, which has been a rarity all season. 9 points clear with a far superior goal difference which is (currently) worth an additional point, -

Vestegaard, Vardy and Daka have all missed very easy chances. They’ve hit us on the break with some dunderheaded defending. Just a bad, bad day at the office. Let’s hope it motivates them next week.

We’re lulling Leeds into a false sense of security.
