  1. As much as I want Maidstone to see this game out, lumbering Ipswich with a replay may well help us out.
  2. I’d rather sign Bucky O’Hare.
  3. Not sure how anyone could say he was really good yesterday, the amount of times he was beaten in the air was embarrassing. At one point he tried to blunder through two Ipswich players, immediately ceding possession and Justin had to rescue him. In a system that requires composure and calmness at the back he is to too erratic and always looks like he’s got a few ricks in him. He was average yesterday, for the most part played well but made too many avoidable errors. Love his commitment but he’s really not an intelligent footballer and it shows.
  4. If Ward had a shot at a move elsewhere, he’d let it in.
  5. Any club with half a braincell is going to be aware that we’re stymied by FFP and offer cursory amounts for any of our players. Would like this to happen but it’s looking unlikely unless someone takes pity on us and takes some of our deadwood of our hands.
  6. I think we've done a pretty decent job of playing with 10 men and Coventry haven't really offered much apart from the goal. Yet come on here and it's like they've been having amazing chances and we've been making goal-line saving challenges. We may still lose this but we've been well in difficult circumstances.
  7. What the **** is Lee Hndrie blathering on about. Dewsbury Hall almost had his thigh torn off. Utter bellend.
  8. Coventry are well up for this. Closing us down really quickly and leading to a lot of sloppy passes. Nothing to worry about yet but need to step it up, which we normally do as the game progresses. I'd be happy with a point at present.
  9. He’s a quality keeper. A few passes went awry yesterday but for some of these you have to look at the movement of the players. Sometimes our players are slow to react and the opposition nip in and get to the ball first. That’s not Mads’ fault. He’s been asked to play in a way which is selfless and puts his head above the parapet. Seems until now that we’ve benefited way more from this than we’ve suffered. It’s a fairly unique position to be in, to have a goalkeeper that has that much self confidence. We’re luck to have him.
  10. I’m getting a headache from Leeds’ ‘Explosion at the Fruit Salad factory’ kit.
  11. Meslier is an absolute clown. More of that please Leeds.
  12. Daka Defence Force is going to have a huge job on their hands if this carries on much longer. That back heel
  13. Daka reverting to type so far this game. That miss and then running way offside, jeez.
  14. Kane in 2018. And 2017.
  15. Enzo prioritised tomorrow’s game and rotated accordingly. Far better to target wins against your immediate rivals, even if it leads to draws at lesser teams. We end up with 4 points from Wednesday/Brom it’s better that the win comes from the Brom game as that means they only pick up 3 points in their 2 games. Winning at Weds then a draw at Brom, gives Brom 4 points. That’s numberwang. Disclaimer: This post will self-destruct if we get beaten tomorrow.
  16. I think if we’ve got a decent lead at the top in January we might pick up some signings who are out of contract in the Summer but would ordinarily go to Premier League clubs. Fornals is out of contract in the Summer, maybe available for a low millions and could offer a creative option in the middle that we seem to be lacking. Wouldn’t be my first choice ordinarily but we do need some invention in the middle.
  17. A 2-0 win against a combative but limited Watford, with Winks out. With the exception of Iheanacho I thought the rest of the team were decent. Lead at the top stretched with another game out of the way with no injuries incurred. Defence again looking very parsimonious and Enzo was able to tinker with the team to address Winks’ absence. Yet again we’ve shown that we have the patience and engine to outlast most of the competition - our ability to bring on quality subs when the opposition are tiring is proving to be a key part of our success.
  18. This ref is diabolical. Shit for both teams and falls for the Jones’ dive every single time.
  19. Jesus wept, when Iheanacho stinks, he goes full-on Stig of the Dump.
  20. Iheanacho has been diabolical, we’re effectively playing with 10 men with him on.
  21. Iheanacho showing what a great loss he'll be when he goes to the African Nations and then on a free.
  22. I can see us pressing for the next 15 minutes and then they'll hit us on the break for a 0-2. Pereira has been the best player on the pitch.
