Bournemouth FA Cup (a) Match Thread

You little beauty! Let’s hope that gets his confidence back up and we see him back to his best. -
This comes across as the Luddite ‘lump it forward’ which the slavering septuagenarian spouts out at 75 minutes before leaving the ground early. We’re still 6 points clear and our immediate rivals have fluked results against us recently.

Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread

This may come as a huge surprise but even Messi misses chances too. Doesn’t mean he’s equally as bad. Pointing to a Vardy miss to justify a Daka miss is a strawman barely worth addressing. Daka misses too many chances. He can run fast but so can Forrest Gump. Quoting goals and assists in a secondary league, as some do, doesn’t cut any mustard for me. I’m not catastrophising, fairly certain we’re still going up but i I wouldn’t trust Daka as a frontline striker. -
We aren’t taking our easier chances, the opposition are. We’re fine, we’ll get promoted. Simple as that.

I’m bored to death of people thinking Daka is an elite striker. Even in the Championship he’s not been elite. Yes, he can slot away a penalty. He’s quick. He makes good movement. But he also misses decent chances. I trust Vardy to take chances. I wouldn’t trust Iheanacho or Daka. YMMV. -
The best thing I can say about Hamza is that he does graft and is tenacious, often due to his own mistakes. If his first touch is bad, his second touch will often be a war crime.
-
I’d rather have Jerry Maguire than Harry Maguire. And even at 5 feet 7 inches, he’d probably be better in the air than Vestergaard.

If they re-introduced football specials you’d hope they’d be scheduled for after the game not catering for the zombie nation who scarper at 80 minutes. -

What was the XG on that game? Diabolical finishing from us, excellent counter attacking play by them. Bad day at the office, which has been a rarity all season. 9 points clear with a far superior goal difference which is (currently) worth an additional point, -

Vestegaard, Vardy and Daka have all missed very easy chances. They’ve hit us on the break with some dunderheaded defending. Just a bad, bad day at the office. Let’s hope it motivates them next week.
-
We’re lulling Leeds into a false sense of security.
-
Faes with a fantastically dumb bit of defending. Desperate stuff.
-
This is the game where Yunus shows us why we must sign him.
-
We’ll get it back it to 2-2, they will have 10 players and you’ll still see half the ground leave at 80 minutes.
-
Bloody hell, this is dreadful. Time for us to show we can do what Southampton did last week.
-
Just get the ball to Fatawu and run at that bozo Clarke. He won’t be able to help himself and will get himself sent off.
-
Matt Clark playing like a man who has a tenner on Matt Clark to be sent off.

Who do you want for next season in the PL

£75m for KDH?! I know it’s a Friday night and we all like to let our hair down, but maybe put the Babycham away now. -
Russell Martin is the kind of guy who says ‘pukka’ with no sense of shame. I give it a promotion and then he’ll come out with Turkey teeth.
-
Give him a 2 year contract, he’s deserved that on the basis of this season. Badly mismanaged by Rodgers. Even if we sell him after 6 months/year then that would be good for PSR, as he effectively has a book value of £0, I presume? If he helps keep us up then it’s been worth it. If we go down then he’s shown he’s a very good operator at this level. (Provided we still have Enzo admittedly!
-
Wonderful, wonderful goal. KDH is back on in it today.
-
The movement so far has been great. Hoping we get the goals that our play often deserves but doesn't always deliver.

Never forget Leeds’ ability to implode with on-field indiscipline.
