  1. Everyone was pretty bloody happy when Trump was doing a deal with a certain Mr Kim in North Korea. The reality is that these regimes are only branded "genocidal" when the narrative suits. This all just looks like a "lets call it quits" move to me. There was no way that Iran could let it lie as the whole "death to America" was getting way too much traction. They also know that getting into a full scale conflict with the Yanks would be suicide. instead, lets fire a couple of missiles, at Military targets, cause as little actual meaningful damage (i.e. loss of life) as possible so as not to incur any further attacks from America and Quote the UN Charter demonstrating self defence. This way everyone gets to save face.
  2. they'll both cost buttons to keep around for another year and are clearly massively important behind the scenes. Its an absolute no brainer for me that they both get an extension if they are willing to stay on. it'll cost us more to bring in two players who are willing to play a bit part, but be good enough to step in when asked to do so.
  3. Are people actually taking this seriously? When do Fee+Player deals ever actually happen? They're generally concocted by some spotty teenager in his bedroom after having spent too much time on football manager and PornHub. I mean i can really only think of the Sanchez/Mkhitaryan deal that actually happened (may be wrong). I'm certain that United would love him in their squad - so would quite a few teams. But United they will know better than anyone that they aren't going to get him on the cheap and they most certainly aren't getting him with an offer of some ludicrous deal involving a player that cant demand a regular place in a team putting out the kind of erratic performances that they are at the minute. Its a typical clickbait article and is getting way more time on here that it should be. There absolutely WILL be offers for Maddison at some point in the future. When that time comes, the board have proven themselves more than capable of putting the clubs best interests first, which may or may not involve the sale of the player - but you can bet your bottom dollar that its going to be one hell of a fee and only on the terms that suit us.
  4. i'd personally love them to forget who the hell we are until the last game of the season tbh! We're here to win football matches, there's no extra points for column inches along the way.
  5. They should race them, but at a much reduced speed - maybe make it a horseback Egg and Spoon race - Now THAT would be worth watching.
  6. NO WAY! Hipster Goal of the Decade - Yakubu vs Derby
  7. How long would you have given Vardy to bed in to the Championship and/or Premier League? Would you have binned him off for that paltry hand full of goals in his first season with us, or the 5 goals in 30 odd games in his first season in the Prem? We'd be a pretty different team now if we hadn't shown faith in him by keep playing him wouldn't we!
  8. Quite funny that we hold a 15(?) year old girl more accountable for the content of her tweets than we do politicians and world leaders!
  9. Very worrying indeed - a real concern that those bloody Aussies will start coming back here! We'll be awash with scooners of VB and Hats with Corks if we don't do something about this climate change lark. In all seriousness though - pretty stark reading of whats kicking off in Australia at the minute - which makes it even more mind boggling with the amount of Coal you boys dig up and send to China.
  10. SAY WHAT?! You have a team on an 8 match perfect run, of which Perez has played (if not started) the vast majority of games and now you want to reward someone who is no doubt a confidence player by dropping him from the starting lineup because he's too lightweight? The same Perez thats scored 4 times in that 8 games?! RUTHLESS!!
  11. tbh, i wouldn't eat that muck anyway, Pukka or otherwise. Pie + Football = Steak and Kidney. End of. Curry should be reserved for post match.
  12. absolutely fvcking travesty, that. NOTHING better than a Steak and Kidney Pukka pie at half time.
  13. Good appointment for them, that. I'm sure it'll be greeted with the usual"not good enough", "done nothing since leaving Leicester" bollocks. If he can get Shakey on board with him, i reckon they've got a good chance of picking up some results with that team. Get them organised, get their team spirit sorted and go from there. having said that, they'll probably give him 5 games and sack him.
  14. be interesting to see who all the pundits get behind for the Arsenal job now. Which other "small club" are performing better than Arsenal with a fashionable manager? My money is on Nuno.
  15. Standard Leicester at the minute, and bloody great to see. We have an asset that is performing well that someone else wants, so we give them a well deserved raise which keeps them happy in the short term and keeps them focussed. In return we get a contract that is favourable for our negotiating position if/when the time comes for them to move on. Well Done.
  16. I had a very similar incident at Palace away (Sousa's first game in charge i seem to remember) when some guy decided to boo DJ (offside) Campbell's every touch which was made all the sweeter when he scored and i promptly rubbed it in his face (still lost though). He didn't lamp me but i could tell he'd have loved to have wiped the grin off my face if only he'd had another pint before the game. suppose he got the last laugh, what with Campbell turning out to be toilet n'all....
  17. is anyone surprised by this? you can tell Raab's a cvnt just by looking at him. he falls in to that Smug "Jeremy Hunt" style mould for me.
  18. i'll likely be voting Labour but even i think this statement is a load of old blllocks. Based on this statement, where do we stop with our outrage? Should we also be p!ssed at the Surgeon for taking home their 6 figure salary on the back of treating a child with cancer too? Somewhere down the line theres a company that builds ambulances who profit off people having car crashes.......
  19. Fair enough, we weren't at our best for the full 90 but this does a disservice to the performance of an Everton team that played (defensively anyway) out of their skin for a manager with his back to the wall. For me, rest bodies when the job is done. unchanged lineup, get our noses in front (before half time ideally) then use your subs to give Youri/Vardy/whoever a break. Theres probably an algorithm somewhere that tells them they'll snare another half a million viewers by starting 15 minutes earlier.
  20. TBH, i'm starting to hate him, Maddison too. i mean the pair of b@stards are young, good looking, single, millionaires playing for Leicester. what's not to hate?! this doesnt in any way come from a place of enormous jealousy.
  21. Please tell me that actually happened?!
  22. We're having a "turf academy'!? we're so bloody big time nowadays!
  23. FFS - Well done. You've only gone and made me want him, haven't you. 3m24s if fvcking disgusting.
  24. To be fair, Rodriguez wouldn't be the first player to struggle under the weight of expectation at a super club. There's countless examples of players that have gone to big clubs early-ish in their career and its proven to be a poor move, theres nothing to say he cant kick on elsewhere away from Zidane, who seems hell bent on forcing everyone out of Real at the minute. He may well be a luxury player, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Luxury players can make a team (or break it-granted). Mahrez was the definition of a luxury player during his time with us, but bloody hell was he magic to watch when he was interested - and his goals were invaluable.
  25. If there were even an ounce of truth to it, it depends on the player and what their personality is like i suppose. realistically, he's not going to be short for a few quid so it depends on how important regaining the heady heights of his earlier career are for him. If he wanted to come in as a champagne Charlie - then PASS, if he wants to come in and regain his earlier form and start tearing up the Premier League, then its all gravy for me.
