He was last year as well, but that was largely due to how god awful we were. He was a 2/10 most weeks. That run against Ipswich was the only thing of note he did all season. The rest of the time he stunk the place up just as badly as everyone else. I'd reserve judgement on passing stats as a judge of a player's merit to be fair too. Vestergaard often tops the charts for us, but we all know 90% of those are sideways and backwards passes to Stol and the rest of the backline. It doesn't change him being as slow as a tank without tracks.

He had an ok game against Charlton, as did Skipp. In both cases it was im comparison to their usual standard - they both gave the ball away countless times and put the backline under needless pressure with poor positioning. But I also saw a few successful interceptions from both, so that's something. In Soumare's case I saw more positive forward movement, particularly for Fatawu's goal.
