He's going to persist with Soumare and Skipp isn't he? I'm writing this to channel that match thread against Middlesbrough when someone said those exact words about Drinkwater and Vardy...

Tell us how you really feel about Brendan

Yeah called it, we can chalk that off now

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
OntarioFox replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
Him going to Forest and suddenly turning into a competent fullback will be the cherry on the shit sundae of our decline, I fear. He's always had that fire, which would be incredibly endearing if he could match it with on pitch ability. As much as we all know he's garbage, I think I'll be a bit sick in my mouth if he suddenly turns a corner and becomes the new Stuart Pearce for them. Who is someone he was likened to when he first showed up here, before we realised two or three games in that he was nowhere near that level. -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Unlike Faes who has done everything in his power to get dropped by Belgium, for both them and us, yet is still glued to their team sheet with Solvite -

Massive test of Marti's man management skills. Lad's a potential cheat code at this level but it's fairly obvious he was phoning it in for the first two games to stay fit for a move. Get him on board and we may well become fun to watch. I think what I've seen of BEK would say he's mature enough not to throw his toys out the pram, fingers crossed. -
'And to Leicester City - who did NOT sign anybody, Rudkin was as good as an absent father.' And as Tiny Top observed: 'God help us, everyone!'

He was last year as well, but that was largely due to how god awful we were. He was a 2/10 most weeks. That run against Ipswich was the only thing of note he did all season. The rest of the time he stunk the place up just as badly as everyone else. I'd reserve judgement on passing stats as a judge of a player's merit to be fair too. Vestergaard often tops the charts for us, but we all know 90% of those are sideways and backwards passes to Stol and the rest of the backline. It doesn't change him being as slow as a tank without tracks.

He had an ok game against Charlton, as did Skipp. In both cases it was im comparison to their usual standard - they both gave the ball away countless times and put the backline under needless pressure with poor positioning. But I also saw a few successful interceptions from both, so that's something. In Soumare's case I saw more positive forward movement, particularly for Fatawu's goal. Congrats on your second assist in... uhh... 77 games, Bouba. He's still garbage though, it's more a case of having a good game, by his standards, against lower-half second-tier opposition. A 5/10 against bloody Charlton - it's a bit like Faes expecting a bouquet of flowers for scoring the winner against Sheff Weds. Nah mate, all you've proven is that you've just about found your level, and even then there are question marks. We could still do far better even at this level, and God forbid jf we go back up and he's somehow still starting games.

I forgot what a shitshow the internet is without adblocker but I don't mind FoxesTalk when it throws up moments like this:

I'd wager it isn't true, and the club would genuinely rather have this floating around as a smokescreen for their own inability to bring anyone in. Fact of the matter is, we've been pathetically slow to act in the market yet again and this at least does something to take people off the scent and think "awww, poor King Power, they're not signing people because of the big bad EFL!" My partner's Grandad is obsessed with this supposed embargo, he's been texting me about it nonstop for the past few days. I've had to remind him multiple times that A) we've signed a goalkeeper and B) none of this excuses our pathetic lack of action for the past 3 months.

Martin is exceeding all expectations - that is to say, he's doing an even better hatchet job at Ibrox than anyone thought him capable of. We should not forget that our board genuinely wanted him here.

Grealish doing the business, they'll be in no danger this season with him providing the assists. -

Hamza and a fit Ricky P (fingers crossed) are plenty good enough for this league. JJ can go, nice lad and finally turned a bit of a corner form wise after relegation was confirmed but he was absolutely honking for most of last season. Getting actual cash money for him is a no-brainer.
