I think it's a fairly common thing and something that's manageable, even if obviously painful when it does happen. I was going to mention Coutinho's name but thought otherwise. He was on the bench today but didn't play and hasn't taken the no 10 shirt as was suggested. Yes he hasn't played wide right, but he could do the narrow Pérez role. He obviously must be defensively good enough to play under Rodgers/Klopp at Liverpool and then be picked up by a Kovac Bayern team. Either way it would be one hell of a window to get Neres or Coutinho. Keep everyone we want for the first time in 8 years, all five key areas of weakness filled with quality, our first Brazilian signed. That's 10/10 without a doubt.

The way Rodgers spoke to RL yesterday, it seems to me that they have got one identified target who they are in talks for and confident on. The fact he says 'he'll add real quality' should mean we are avoiding a Bennett/Chalobah panic buy or loan for cover purposes. Whether it's Neres or not I don't know, but I'd be surprised if we weren't sure on the name in the next 24 hours.
