I wonder if the boy Braybrooke could be involved in the squad. Need someone to provide a bit of positivity. suspect the only changes will be Daka and Ricky in for Vards and Hamza.

I don't think the entire crowd turns if we fail on Monday........the number of fans who applauded the team off following relegation would suggest that won't happen. A section will kick off for sure and probably not wait until the end of the game if things aint going to plan. It's that cliche situation of the fans needs the team to give us something to cheer and the team needs the home fans to create an atmosphere to drive them on. Neither scenario has happened for a good while. I hope (but doubt) that Coady is involved just to add experience and help the mentality of the team and try and drag a performance out of us. 8 games left, we can still get promotion and salvage the season. That should be the dressing room message. Go and silence the doubters, show you are premier league players and deserve promotion.
-
He is an inexperienced manager, who it seems has lost his way. Given the financial importance of promotion this season would it backfire to sack him now and punt on someone like Steve Cooper? If we stick with Enzo and he manages to get us up, will we be able to bring in the technical players he craves? Most likely not. Also if we miss the automatic places will he be able to lift the players and get through the playoffs. Doubtful based on recent evidence of our mentality. Fail to go up I think he defo walks. if we twist we may get a manager who is able to work with what we have and be pragmatic in terms of personnel / formation. A fresh voice may help secure enough points and If we are still in the Championship next season (god forbid) we will be better placed. All ifs and maybes, and I don’t see the Club changing the manager, but if this season is to be anything other than a failure we need a massive turnaround in mentality, strategy and performance now.
-
The narrative if we fail to get promotion will be that the Club failed to back the manager in January but, whilst we failed to replace Casadei or sign Sensi, that can’t hide the fact we let a 17 point lead slide and that is on Enzo and the players. Enzo has failed to make best use of his squad (Coady, Souttar) when the likes of Faes, Doyle have been out of form or one of the wingers needed a rest. The use of subs beyond the beginning of the season has been suspect. We haven’t been flexible enough in terms of system when things haven’t worked. Also our weak mentality has returned. Compare us to Ipswich and the number of losses they have turned to draws and draws to wins. Enzo needs to finds answers and quick.
-
He’s a young player who needed to be rotated in and out of the first XI but Enzo appears not to trust either Albrighton or Marcal.. The striker has been interchangeable but with the wingers its only the two lads who can be considered. As with not considering Coady, Enzo is restricting his options and putting more pressure on himself. It’s great when it works but, when it doesn’t like now, why then?
-
Yes, there is the issue of his contract / his pay off but, I don't think his ego would take the failure. And as Balague has said, he hates the Championship and don't want to manage one more than he needs to.
-
I don't see Top binning Enzo, but he won't recover if we fail to get promotion. He will be gone. Everyone worries what will happen if we start in EFL next season, with the embargo and point deduction. Its all shite.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

and then some -
Do you see him walk before he is pushed?
-
At the minute you can’t see these lads turning this form around. Enzo won’t change up the system or first XI car wreck
-
Wonder whether he is beginning to doubt if he has the answers………
-
Fookin hell. Gutted……again
-
Weak mentality was our downfall before and appears to be again. This team needs a leader on the pitch who won’t accept this sort of performance and bollock everyone / demand they get a result

Something’s gotta change lads

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Latest price of Football Pod dropped this morning and the opening segment is all about Leicester. Interesting listen. Mentioned that potentially there could be as many as four arbitration proceedings (2x EPL, 2x EFL needing to be considered in tandem as intrinsically linked) taking up to six months for a resolution. Kieran Maguire said very unlikely any points deduction will be applied this season. They discussed that there is precedent that the EPL wouldn’t apply a EFL points deduction to a promoted team but would oversee that a financial penalty was deducted from broadcast revenues. Referred to this happening before with us in 2014 and the Bournemouth and Fulham. of course any EPL points deduction would be a separate issue. You won’t be surprised that Maguire doesn’t think there will be any discount for cooperation ;D Also covers that whilst PSR rules haven’t changed since 2013 the change in carve up of international broadcast revenues (2016) with more allocated to the ‘big six’ is a big driver behind the growing gap / difficulty in competing. City will have agreed to all of those rule changes - but the argument there isn’t a level playing field cannot be denied. -

Agreed I should have said profit. There is a shortage of ball playing keepers - at least to my mind - so I think there would be demand but lets hope that's a situation we never have to find out who is correct.
-
If we are desperate for cash we will defo consider approaches for Hermansen
-
Maybe it would focus minds at the leadership level if they did have to report on it and it would force some accountability. If we are ultimately hammered or just get a wee bit of a kicking, it would be nice to think things will change moving forwards.....at the minute there is lots of conjecture about our position and the fans are the last to know.
-
Flippant I know but, seriously if we take zero action to address the obvious issues within management of the club then I don't think they are acknowledging the seriousness of the issue.
-
That's fine....relocate him to the Horse Racing HQ or Leuven (or wherever else Top wants him), but we should try to bring in a new DofF as soon as practically possible.
-
point being we will need to integrate the likes of Braybrooke, Alves and Nelson and maybe a few others and hope they can kick on.
-
Not sure the Club can / will want to offer the players / change of DofF he wants / appears to want. Think it’s more likely than not that there’s a parting of the ways.
-
Top and Co were too keen to give Rodgers *all* that he wanted and failed to question Congerton’s picks. Maybe they thought with buying abroad, untested PL “talent” (Daka, Soumare) would give them more bang to the buck but we failed miserably. Rudders has more fails than hits under his watch and needs to go promoted or not.
